One Of Those Weeks – Melbourne Snapshots

Snapshots time!

This week was one of those completely random weeks that seems to make no sense at all. Even the weather is very confused.

I’ve seen a lot of beautiful lights in the city. This market stall had little feathers all over the inside, it looked quite magical!

Did you know that when you add suit jacket to suit pants you = suit jacket and pants? Apparently enough people didn’t to require this handy label.

I thought these little Totoro terrariums were pretty adorable!

We did a lot of walking.

… a lot…

I promised myself that I would be better organised this year so I… bought stationery. That counts right? No? I actually have to use the stationery? Man! >_>

James did this for some reason. I don’t know. It’s been one of those weeks.

To end, a random cactus. Because… that’s a good ending.

Oh Miss Lottie – Melbourne Snapshots

Oh Miss Lottie. You provide never ending entertainment. Also, that lasagne is not yours and you are not Garfield.

You shouldn’t try to steal chips from people, it’s bad for you. And you are terrible at judging the height of things in relation to yourself.

You are the king of jumping on rocks though even if you miss a few times…

Balance is really not your thing.

You insist on claiming every small space in the house as yours including inside bags, cardboard boxes and under pillows and blankets. Bonus points if human is already laying on any of those. Also, the back of the couch is where a cat is supposed to sleep, not a dog. You may be at least 1/2 cat.

You try to steal my pillow like every night and look extremely pleased with yourself.

You try to lick strangers when they pat you… and look extremely pleased with yourself.

You have a terrible nose for finding treats which are right in front of you. You have hay fever which is so bad that you are more likely to sneeze on your treats than find them.

But the fur right between your ears is so soft…

And I like your beard hair.

And you like to walk around our block.

So long as we all walk together and no one breaks formation…

And you love to snuggle while we watch movies on the cough.

What a lovely dog you are Miss Lottie.

Architecture time! Melbourne Snapshots!

Why do I let James be in the background of my photos? Or any of them for that matter…

It’s been ages since I’ve featured architecture time and I really miss it! So today please enjoy some photos of beautiful architecture around Melbourne.

I really want to make hundreds of these mini hot air balloons and hang them all around the house! Stupid landlords…Even after almost 4 years here I’m not bored of this city, Melbourne remains one of the most interesting and beautiful places I’ve ever been.

Delicious Food – Melbourne Snapshots

This week’s snapshots is all about food. Delicious, delicious food.

This actually tasted pretty bad… but it was so pretty. I hate when cute food doesn’t like up to taste expectations, it’s like the ultimate disappointment. Also, whats with rich people and eating gold!? Every high tea we go to seems to have gold leaf on something!

Speaking of desserts… The heart chocolates in the bottom left were hand made for me by Chrissy! She is the best! And the top two is what happens when you say to James, “I don’t care, just order something and we’ll split it”. It was seriously massive and we barely finished it between the two of us. Complete strangers came up and asked what we had ordered, then took photos it was that ridiculous.

My one weakness: sweet potato fries from Hot Star.

This was the first thing I made with my isomalt melting jewels. It’s so pretty and shiny I can’t wait to make some more once the burn it gave me is healed *_*

Sushi makes for such interesting photos.

As a bonus… here is James carrying all of our food… it totally fits the theme. He’s walking down the up escalator but who knows why. Probably because he’s a handsome rebel who plays by his own rules.

Miss Lottie’s First Trip To The Beach – Melbourne Snapshots!

We’ve wanted to take Lottie to the beach since she was little but traveling with her on public transport is a pain in the butt so we waited until we could plan a proper day out with our friends.

As it turns out, Lottie does not like cars even a little bit. She cried most of the way there so we distracted her with treats and cuddles but she was having none of it!

The second we got there however, she took to the water like… a dog in water >_>

She wasn’t too sure about the ocean but once James got his feet wet she went nuts and started jumping in! She was playing catch with her toy too, I can’t believe how high she can jump!

For a while Lottie thought the sand was edible, she sniffed it a bit hard and ended up sneezing it out for the next 10 minutes. She doesn’t have awesome self preservation skills…

After such a big exciting day she fell asleep in the car on the way home, had some lunch and went straight back to sleep! We went out for some dinner and to take more photos. Doesn’t Celina look like a model here?

It was such a beautiful evening.

James insisted on being on the OTHER side of the fence which i did NOT enjoy!!! X[

I bumped into Chrissy who is a reader/subsriber on Youtube! It was so cool to meet her, she was at a convention that day and had a really awesome costume that she’d made herself!

Instead of dinner we ended up eating icecream… because… it’s dairy so it’s healthy… >_>

Riverside Picnic With Miss Lottie! Melbourne Snapshots!

Melbourne is too unpredictable for picnics. It was supposed to be amazing weather but the entire time we were relaxing at the river it was chilly and windy!

Lottie couldn’t care less though!

She spent most of the day testing the limits of her new retractable leash.

She’s not great at judging distance though… at one point she tried to chase after seagulls which were like 5.1m away from us, her leash being only 5m made this a little bit of a problem.

We spotted some little fish in the river but Lottie was much more interested in chasing birds. The funny thing is, she’s such a coward that if she manages to get close enough to them she freaks out and runs back away to hide behind us XD
