Brush: Don’t like that it has a flat top, makes it harder to grip for painting. Don’t mind the actual brush, fairly flexible and thick.
Drying Time: Roughly the same for all of them. Reasonably quick drying time.
Colour Name:

Good for:
-Conservative styles
-Leopard print
Would I buy Camouflage Nail Polish again: It’s not bad, the consistency is pretty good but the colours don’t really appeal to me. I would be interested in other colours but not these and I would prefer different brushes.

Tokyo Wink is a lash brand who have just opened their Australian branch and sent me some lashes to try out. The first ones I tried were “Date Night” as seen above. One thing I noticed is that all of the lashes are HUGE. I picked designs that were similar to ones I have used in the past and the first thing I saw when actually seeing them physically were how long and gigantic the lashes were!
Date Night were crazy long and gave a very pretty dramatic look. I don’t normally have to cut lashes because I have big eyes but all of these designs I needed to cut down to fit. These were a lot thicker than I expected from the photo on the store but very pretty none the less.
They were lighter than a lot of lashes I’ve used too.
The next set was “Armenian” these are the kind that I normally wear for special occasions. Again they are almost as long as the Date Night ones and very lightweight and feathery. I think they would be good for people who haven’t had much lash experience.
Next on the list was the Standard 11 which are the kind of thing I would wear every day. Again they are very long and luscious while being light and maintaining a very steep curve. By cutting them down to fit I had the ends extra which could be layered on the outer corner for a more dramatic look.
Lastly were the lower lashes “Vivid“. These needed cutting too and I found the design to be very pretty but a little unpredictable as many of the strands were at different lengths. I found these to go with my look better if I just added them as accents over the lower lashes rather than an entire strip.
Also included were some lash tweezers which were very nice quality. I personally can’t get the hang of them but I’ve been using fingers for forever so I’m quite biased, I think these would be good for beginners starting out.
Overall I thinkt he lashes were quite good quality, the prices ranged from around $9.95-12.95 and each set had 5 pairs. That’s a lot cheaper than buying individually here but more expensive than somewhere bulk like ebay. The packaging was very cute and the styles were versatile. None of the packets came with glue but that didn’t bother me because I never use the glue that comes with lashes anyway.
If you want to try some of the out, TokyoWink has given us a 20% discount code, just enter “Violet” at checkout.
Would I buy Tokyo Wink False Lashes again: Yes I would because they have a lot of styles I like and now have an Australian branch so shipping should be less expensive than somewhere overseas. Quality was nice.

I went to a trial event of Bare Minerals foundation a while ago, here’s a video of it being applied to me:
We were all given a pack to take home with us and try. I used the lightest foundation daily for several months and found it to be quite nice. I couldn’t use it on it’s own because it dried out my skin too much.
It went very well over the top of other foundation though so I used it as a matt finishing powder. Very nice for that and I would continue using it in that purpose but as a foundation by itself it dried my skin out too much. The coverage was medium and I couldn’t completely get rid of my freckles even though it’s advertised as being able to cover all kinds of skin defects etc.
The biggest disappointment for me was the brushes. The first time I used them there was a massive amount of bristle fall out as you can see below…
Even after several uses I was constantly cleaning them off my table so I’m not sure if I just got a dud or whether they are all of this quality.
Overall I really did like the foundation and continue to use it now, just not by itself.
Would I buy Bare Minerals Escentuals again: I would buy the foundation again definitely but not in a kit like this as I don’t have use for the brushes or extra shades. I would suggest getting matched for colour in store and then trailing to see if this works well with your skin before purchasing.

Pantene have announced the results of a national Galaxy survey commissioned to uncover what women really think about the brand and their hair. The survey* revealed that 1 in 5 Australian women, with as many as 1 in 3 Gen-Y women, believe the myth that Pantene weighs hair down and is bad for hair health, while an incredible 73% of Australian females have planned their life around washing their hair so that they can have that ‘just washed’ fresh feeling*.
In response to the results, Pantene have introduced Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light, a new care range with zero residue and zero weight, leaving you with beautifully nourished hair that you can swisssh…
So leave a comment to enter or have a look at the review I did on the Pantene Pro-V Aqua Lightrange here.
One of my Christmas presents this year from the awesome Fables in Fashion was this awesome Unii magnetic palette. So the other day I set about consolidating some of my favorite eyeshadows into an ultimate travel palette!
This time I used the hair straightener method and here’s the way I did it.
First I collected all of my shadows and worked out exactly how many I could fit in.
After letting my mini straightener heat up I picked the first palette to do, since I hadn’t used the method before I picked one that I had another very similar colour to incase it didn’t go well.I placed the shadow onto the straightener and used it to gently heat the back, this loosens the glue and allows you to pry them out easily. I was careful not to heat it enough to melt the plastic, just enough to be warm.Using a sewing needle I gently wedged the shadows out. It was a little hard at first because there wasn’t much room between the shadow and plastic but after working the various sides and reheating a few times I managed to pop it out.
Done!
Some of the shadows I depotted required a bit of clean up on the bottoms and sides to remove the extra glue or extra crushed shadow.
This was my placement, you can see that the gold (a super cheap one from a palette I hardly use now) didn’t quite fit so I used some scissors and snipped off the end. A couple of the shadows cracked while I was removing them but I fixed that easily by repressing with some hand sanitiser.
Some of the shadows were magnetic to start with but others I needed to add the magnets that came with the palette, this posed a bit of a problem with a couple of the larger ones because they were quite tall and with the added magnet the lid no longer closed. I also found the adhesive on the magnets didn’t want to stick to some of the shadows. I figured I probably wouldn’t be changing the shadows around any time soon so I used thin double sided tape instead.
So there you go, these are the colours I use the most and now they’re all in one place and I don’t have to pack a billion things when I travel!
Absolutely love it and it makes my morning make up routine so much more organised and easy! Thank you Celina!
