Usamimi Sewing Instructions
Today I’m sewing a simple usamimi headband!
Gather your materials.
Cut a long rectangle of fabric and put the ends together.
Fold in half length-wise.
Snip the end into a rounded point like this.
Unfolded it should look something like this.
Unfold and then fold in half to form a big sausage.
Thread a needle and start stitching at one point.
Running stitch down the side.
It can take a while to get to the other side.
Leave a small gap when you reach the other end and tie off.
Turn the whole thing inside out through the end gap.
Flatten it out and you should have something like this.
Unwind a piece of wire twice as long as the tube.
Fold it in half, twist together then fold the ends into loops.
Thread the wire into the tube.
Then stitch up the gap.
Tie off the end.
All done!
Taadaa!
Cure and it holds itself up with the wire, the perfect bunny headband.
And that’s it! You can whip one of these up in a couple of minutes once you get the hang of it and it’s even quicker on a sewing machine.
Check out the link in the description for a photo version of the tutorial on my blog.
Hope you all enjoyed the video and good luck if you give it a try yourself.
Thanks so much for watching, bye!

This is a new kind of video I’m trying out: art! Over the holidays I got back into watercolours after several years or not painting at all. I am definitely very out of practice with my painting but I would love to continue this series so I can improve more.

Speed painting… Nessbow!
Today I’m painting Nessbow!
Another in my blogger speed painting series.
I started by machine a basic outline in sepia.
Ness writes about fashion and beauty.
Then I did a basic wash of the skin.
And a blue wash on the dress.
I filled in the other basic colours on the hair and flowers.
She also writes about self esteem and being yourself.
I find her to be a really inspiring person both in fashion sense and her outlook on life.
She’s always so positive and full fo great ideas.
More hair details.
Ness has written ebooks and podcasts about developing personal style.
A patchy light purple background.
Her outfit posts are a source of awesome creativity too.
Shadows on the skin and some more definition.
Ness and her partner Ross love comics so I wanted to catch that style!
The comic style of drawing is actually one of my favorites.
And this is one of the first times I’ve translated it into a full painting.
Now adding some detail to the body shot.
She also has an etsy store where she sells her super cute fashion.
This look is quite cartoonish so I outlined everything in thick black,
Oh and her Youtube channel has vlogs and tutorials too!
Clearly she’s a very busy girl.
I have a unique insight because she has been one of my window shopping buddies since moving here!
She just moved away though so I don’t think we’ll be able to window shop for a while.
Hopefully she can come visit again soon!
Thick purple stripes for the background and it’s almost done!
Lastly I touched up a few areas with a pen.
I’ve linked everything in the description so go check NessBow out!
Done!
Hope you enjoyed seeing my version of Nessbow, make sure you check out her links in the description!
The next in my series will be none other than James!
Thanks so much for watching!

Simple Pull Through Ponytail Hair Style Instructions.
Today’s style is a nice twist (pun totally intended) on a simple ponytail.
This style was really popular when I was in primary school.
First put your hair in a high ponytail.
Pull the elastic down a bit and split the hair under it in half with your fingers.
You need to make a hole there.
Flip the ponytail forward and then pull it through the hole you made last step.
Pull the elastic a little tighter so it’s secure.
So one more time for the detail.s
Pull the elastic out a bit.
Make a hole above the elastic by splitting the hair into two sections.
Poke your fingers through.
Flip the hair forward and pull it through the hole that you made.
So basically what you have is a ponytail which looks as if it was made from two twists.
From the back it looks like this.
It can take a little practice to get it to sit the way you want but the result is worth it.
Add a stylish bow to the top and you’ve got a pretty alternative to a regular ponytail.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

Messy Side Bun Hair Style Instructions
This style is another variation on the messy curled buns I’ve bene in love with lately.
Start by pinning your fringe out of the way.
Take a very small section of hair at the front top and twist it backwards and away from your face tightly.
After you twist a little, grab the section of hair below it and twist that in too.
Take a bobby pin and slide it inside the twist and close to the scalp so it holds the whole twist in place.
Continue twisting backwards while you add other sections of hair as you go.
You should start aiming the twist towards you ear.
Every few twists add another pin to hold it in place.
Once you reach just behind your ear add a final pin and move on to the next step.
Brush the non-twisted side of your hair over to the twist side.
Pin it in place.
Clip the already twisted hair up and out of the way for the moment.
Fluff up the rest of the hair with your fingers to give it some volume.
Take the top half of the hair and scrunch it up to the side of your head.
The curls will form loops and interesting structures.
Pin it all in place.
Make sure not to cover the original twist.
Do the same with the bottom half too. I find that rather than scrunching this section I like to fold it to form a loop with the ends hanging down.
Again, pin it in place.
Unclip the twisted part of the hair and fold/scrunch that up to where the twist ends.
Then… you guessed it, pin in place.
And that’s all there is to it, a gigantic relaxed side bun which looks quite impressive but really didn’t take much effort at all.
This style looks great with some ribbons or lace threaded through.
Perfect for Spring or Summer.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

Halloween Horror Styled Dripping Blood Nail Art Instructions
Today’s tutorial is a little on the evil side… blood dripped nails!
To begin, paint a base colour and allow to dry.
I used white for maximum effect.
Load your brush quite heavily with red.
It should have enough polish to form a bubble on the bottom of the brush.
Gently touch the bubble of the polish to the nail around half way down, lift slightly and drag to the tip.
Repeat next to the first stroke but only half way as far.
By pressing at the end and dragging lightly up it will form a nice dripping shape.
Just make sure you have enough polish on the brush.
Repeat with an even longer drip next and then a ship one to finish that side of the nail.
Reload your brush with polish regularly.
Make a long drop on the side and then a short one to join it all together.
Done!
As long as you make the strokes all different lengths you’ll end up with pretty realistic drips.
Next nail.
Once you get quick enough you can do all of the long strokes at once and then just fill the short ones in after.
Simple once you get the hang of it!
Finish by painting the tips to match and top coat if you like.
Very creepy.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

Mini Bow Hairstyle Instruction
I love bow style hair but sometimes the big ones can be a bit much!
Here’s a simple mini bow.
Grab a section of hair from the top of your head and brush it to one side.
This technique is all about making loops of hair with the elastic so you need a pretty stretchy one.
Mine can go over 4 times… so I wrapped it twice before starting the bow.
Pull the hair through again but this time only a few inches so it’s a loop.
Twist the elastic and pull the hair through again for another loop.
Taadaa you have bow loops.
Now flip them so they face the right way.
And pin them in place.
So one more time in case you missed it.
You should end up with something like this.
To hide the band use a flower or some kind of clip.
You can also split up the tail so it curls on both sides like ribbon tails.
Sweet and cure but not too over the top.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.
