Vintage Rolled Updo Short Hair Instructions
Hello!
Meet Stef, she has short hair and it totally awesome.
Today we’re trying out vintage style twists.
First divide the hair in half.
Take a small section at the front and begin twisting it upward and backwards.
Take small sections of hair as you twist.
After a few twists, pin it to the scalp.
Push the pin from the back, forward into the twist you just made.
This will make it really secure.
Continue twisting small sections backwards until you reach the back.
If you do it evenly it will almost look like a braid.
And here’s a side view.
Repeat the twisting on the other side.
You can do this style with alost any length hair, you’ll just need more pins.
If it doesn’t feel sturdy, you need to add more pins.
At the back, pull the last part of the hair up.
Curl it around and then pin in place.
Hairspray any loose ends of leave them down for a fun messy look.
Special thanks to Stef for being my awesome model/victim for the day.

Quick Simple Quiff Hair Style Instructions
Today’s style is an easy pouf or quiff for your fringe.
This is a quick way to get your fringe out of your face.
Separate your fringe and pull it up.
This is the rough shape that we will make.
Hole it vertically and straighten upwards to give it some life.
Back comb the back side of it slightly to provide texture.
You can see the rough shape it will make from the side.
Fold it backwards and pin in place.
Smooth it into the right shape with your hands.
You can change the shape with your fingers or by twisting the end of the pouf.
Hairspray in place.
Straighten or style the rest of your hair.

Short Hair With The Big Styler Instructions
Good morning!
Meet Stef, she has short hair and it totally awesome.
Today we’re trying out the VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler to see if it can give her the volume she loves.
First we used heat protector and sectioned the hair in half.
Take a small piece of hair and roll it around the brush.
Press the button to roll it up securely.
Sit for a few seconds then unroll.
Repeat until it’s the shape you want.
This tool heats and spins so it’s like using a blow dryer and a brush effort for uncoordinated people like me.
Continue working around the bottom layer of hair drying and curling it under.
For flicks, curl upwards.
Next, undo the top section and repeat the process.
To give more volume, hold the styler so the hair is straight up.
this will give lift at the roots.
I always pay special attention to the fringe because a styled fringe can make all the difference to the finished look.
After a quick brush through, that’s it!
Unfortunately Stef’s hair didn’t get much volume so we decided to get hardcore and sprayed through some volumiser.
Then we ran the styler through again.
The heat from the style sets the volumiser so make sure you get the styler close to the roots and pull the hair upwards.
That’s starting to look better!
It’s still very sleep because Stef has awesomely shiny and healthy hair but there’s definitely some good volume there!
Much more than when we started!
Special thanks to Stef for being my awesome model/victim for the day.

Faux Mini Ponytail Hair Style Instructions
I really love the look for short curly ponytails but having long hair means I had to find a different way of doing it!
Start by curling the ends of your hair.
Pull it up into a high ponytail without disturbing the curl too much.
On the last loop of the elastic, don’t pull the hair all the way through.
Twist it to face the curls to the front and the loop to the back like this.
push the loop so it’s flush to your head and pin place.
Pin the curls to the scalp just in front of the hair band.
Flip the curls back over so they cover the loop and fluff them out.
Hairspray it all in place.
I love this style with a simple scarf wrapped around it.
Done! Too cute!
My loop shows through a bit more because of my pink ends.
If your hair is all one colour it will be less of course.

Short Hair Retro Curly Updo Instruction.
Hello!
Meet Stef, she has short hair and it totally awesome.
Today we’re trying out a curly style with a retro flare to it.
Start by loosely curling the hair all over.
This is really a look in itself.
You can add a cute alice band and you’re good to go!
Grab a small section of hair at the top of the head.
Twist it once and the base and flick the ends forward.
Pin it in place and it becomes a small pouf.
The curls are really important to this because they give it so much more volume.
Repeat with another section right behind the first.
And then one more behind that.
From the side you can see that it makes a soft messy updo style.
Make sure to leave some longer drapey bits down to soften the look.
To complete the look tie a chiffon scarf around the base.
The key to keeping it on is to not tie it too tightly.
Pin it if you need to and that’s done!
Taadaa!
Special thanks to Stef for being my awesome model/victim for the day.

How To Get The Perfect Bun With A DIY Hair Donut Instructions.
A while ago I made a DIY hair donut, here are two of my favorite ways to use it for the perfect shaped buns!
Both versions start with a high ponytail.
Number 1!
Wrap the donut or sausage around the ponytail base tightly.
Fluff the ponytail out so it completely covers the donut in all directions like this and brush it smooth.
Place a stretchy elastic band over the whole thing.
Hairspray it smooth.
Take the ends and wrap them around the band.
You can plait the ends or even push them up and back into the middle of the donut again if you like.
Done!
Very simple and easy to do.
Version 2.
Pull the ponytail forward and place the donut under it.
Start rolling upwards.
Spread the hair out along the sausage as you go.
When you get to the top, curl the whole thing around the base of the ponytail.
Fluff it around the back to cover the join.
Hairspray and add an accessory.
