You know the whole point of growing out my nails was to do more nail art, but being so busy has meant that it was very easy to grow them out because I didn’t notice I had nails… but it also meant that I haven’t done nearly as much nail art as I was expecting to >_< I usually am in such a rush I don’t even wait for polish to dry ugh.
This is totally simple nail art for Summer or Spring… or to remind you of those warmer months. No nail art skills required!
You need:
Green polish
Pink polish
Base/Top coat
Pen
Large pieces of glitter
First do a base coat.
Paint your ring finger with pink. You may need a couple of coats for it to be opaque.
Paint the rest of the nails with the green.
Make sure it’s completely dry before you continue.
Now for the decorations!
Put a small dot of top coat in the lower right corner of the nail. You will need to work fast before this polish dries.
Using the tip of the pen, place one silver piece of glitter in the middle and surround it with 6 pink pieces of glitter.
You should put pink flowers on the green nails and a green flower on the pink nails.
Once they are totally dry and you’ve done every finger give them all a top coat.
This will seal in the glitter and make them extra shiny.
Taadaa! You don’t need to be a whiz with a paintbrush for this one and it doesn’t take too long to do. Perfect for a girl in a rush in summer!
The first video today is another request. I get many comments and emails asking for school appropriate hairstyles and looks. It’s a bit hard to answer because every school has different rules. When I was at school the thing I worried about the most was sleeping in slightly more XD With that in mind I made a video with 12 different styles which are quick, simple and don’t require much explanation. Really they’re basic styles just jazzed up a bit using hair accessories. Really, accessories are the key here to make these plain looks more interesting!
Next some cute Lottie goodness!
Next up is a rose themed outfit of the day video. I really enjoy making these 😀 We filmed this one in the state rose garden, so pretty there!
Now some more footage from the family visit! This pretty much wraps it up from the visit 😀
A new segment I’m trying out where in I show my morning make up routine for various days and chat about what I’m doing that day. Not really a tutorial, more of a random girly chat while we get ready together in the bathroom 😉
Today’s style features my basic look for days when I’m super lazy. Days like this I really want just quick make up with very little fuss. .

Lazy Days – Morning Make Up Instructions
Welcome to another edition of Morning Make Up where I do my make up and we chat.
Today’s look is what I do when I’m having a lazy day.
This is my ultimate lazy day style.
And starting with a bare face today and everything.
Moisturiser is definitely a must!
I love getting dressed up but there are some times when it’s just not practical.
Then some BB Cream next.
For days like this (or when I really just can’t be bothered) I like to do a simpler style.
I think so long as you have a good base and a little definition around your eyes it looks pretty good and it’s really quick.
I used a light cream all over the lid.
The light colour really brightens up the eyes.
And it’s amazing the difference it just makes even with this.
Some highlighter under the brow.
When I’m in a rush I can do this in around 5 minutes.
I add a tiny touch of bronze at the outer corner.
This gives a little definition to the eyes.
Then blend it out completely.
It becomes a really light shadow which creates depth.
I think the blending probably takes the most time overall.
Mascara!
When I’m not wearing false lashes I like to pile it on haha!
I’m quite guilty of that.
Lots of mascara.
Sometimes I won’t bother with liner but today I felt energetic.
Lazily energetic haha!
I think that’s the best kind of energetic.
I pretty much always wing it out.
the wing makes me look more awake and bright.
Depending on the shape of your eye and the angle of the wing you can get really cool effects.
A pretty pink lip gloss is always a must!
Having breakfast while I do my make up haha!
Classy!
I was actually in a hurry this day.
Done!
And with time to spare!
This is about as plain as I get.
It’s still a little bit pretty but it’s quite relaxed.
Of course, if I’m feeling really lazy I just put my glasses on to hide my eyes more.
BAM! Done!
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks for watching.
Bye!
In the left corner we have Violet’s Mini Snack SizedTrifle!
And in the right corner we have James’ Epic Berry Trifle!
Who will win!?!?
To make your own you need:
Jelly mix
Cake mix and the relevant ingredients
Custard (doublethick is the best!)
Strawberries or other berries
The basic recipe is the same, it’s just the presentation which decides the winner so let’s get started!
Make the jelly according to the instructions.
I picked strawberry to go with the theme.
Put it in the fridge to set.
Make your cake according to the instructions and bake it.
Wait for everything to be set and cooked. The cake should be cool to the touch before you begin putting it together.
Chop up some strawberries as decoration and put your own spin on it.
To decorate like James’ monstrosity awesome creation start with a layer of jelly then a circle of cake then custard. Keep doing this until you get to the top. Finish with custard and add berries with a strawberry topper.
Delicious, I guess… if you like that kind of thing…
Now if you want to make Violet’s Super McAwesome version start with strawberry slices around the edge of the cup.
Fill the middle with custard.
Cut up some cake and add that then some jelly cubes. Continue layering the ingredients.
Finish the top with some pink sprinkles, jelly cubes and a strawberry heart.
Taadaaaaa!
Enjoy your delicious creation and try not to spend the rest of the night arguing over who’s is better. Realistically there’s no argument because clearly the winner is JamesVioletJames Violet.
Which would you make? The Epic cup or the Cute Heart?
I get requests all the time for hair tutorials which can be worn at school. It’s a hard request because all schools have different rules about what can be worn and what can’t. So here is a bunch of ideas to inspire you. They aren’t full tutorials but you can get the generally idea. Pretty much all of them are just simple styles jazzed up with cute accessories. .

12 Easy Hairstyles For School Instructions
Hello!
Today’s tutorial is a mish-mash of a lot of different styles suitable for school!
I get a lot of requests for school appropriate hairstyles.
It’s a little hard though because every school has different rules.
My answer: put on a cute headband… done!
Seriously though, here are a bunch of real ideas.
1.
First up is an easy way to wear a headband a little bit differently.
Pull two pieces of hair in front of the ears forward.
Put on the headband and then twist the pieces backwards and pin them at the back of the head.
You can also skip the headband with this style and add a pretty bow or flower to cover the pin.
Cute and a bit more interesting than a plain headband.
#2
Next we have a simple style which is suited to Summer or being a bit more active.
For a quick clean look, tease your fringe upwards and then brush it back.
Pop a headband over it and then smooth down.
This one is very quick and great for keeping hair off your face in the Summer heat.
#3.
This is a messy twist on regular plaits.
Divide your hair in half and then plait half way down.
Tie it off then puff out the plaits so they are really puffy.
One done and then repeat on the other side.
You want to keep the plaits fairly loose as you’re going and start the plait a little further away from the ear than you would a tight plait.
This will give you lots of extra hair to puff it up and make it look messy.
#4
This style is a simple high half ponytail but it’s off to one side for extra cuteness.
Grab a small section of hair at the top of your head.
This style works best if you leave quite a bit of hair at the bottom.
Brush it to one side and then tie into a ponytail.
Add a pretty flower and that’s pretty much it!
My solution to jazzing up most plain hairstyles is to add a flower, bow or ribbon.
Super creative.
#5
This lower side ponytail is a little more elegant.
Pull all your hair over one side to your ear.
Tie up and add a flower.
I like to tie it just below my ear and then pull the band up to make it puff out.
Even a plain side ponytail looks better with a flower.

Hours of fun drawing or more realistically writing shopping lists!
You need:
Whiteboard paper (got mine from Daiso)
Markers
Old magnets
Hot glue gun
Lace
Diamantes
So first step is deciding what size you want. The whiteboard paper was really easy to cut so in theory you could make all kinds of shapes.
I decided to edge it with lace but I thought pink would look better with the fridge so I coloured the nylon lace with a Copic marker.
Easy!
Glue the lace to the sticky side of the paper all the way around the edge.
I taped it in the corners for a little extra strength.
I was kind of decorating as I went along so the next thing I did was clean off my fridge and remove all of the stickers. I find it easier to do projects like this when they’re actually on the item. Sometimes you just need to see things from further away to pick up any mistakes!
This is what I had at this point but it looked a little plain.
Diamantes to the rescue! I put a row of large diamantes around the edge of the paper.
Pretty!
Now it’s time to do the matching pens 😀
These are really simple too, just make sure you use actual whiteboard markers not regular ones or else you’ll never be able to wipe them off XD
All you need to do is cut some old magnets to be the size and shape of the lid then glue them of. You may need to glue one to the actual pen too depending on how strong the magnets are.
Easy!
I added my Bergamot magnet for another little detail too 😀 You can learn how to make your own Bergamot magnet here.
Taadaa!
Now you just need to draw something on there!
When I made this one I was thinking I would use it for shopping lists and things like that but all I really ended up doing with it was drawing cute things XD
The fridge definitely looks cuter now! I’m still considering adding a heap of flowers to the bottom of it too but I can’t decide on which medium to use!
