Outfit of the day Post- Experimental

Every now and then I like to try something completely out of my style comfort zone and mix my outfit up a bit.

Sometimes it works and some times it doesn’t but either way it’s always fun to try something new! The photos were taken before we moved here but this outfit was all about experimenting with different make up ^_^

A long time ago I bought a 12 sample pack of some very pigmented mineral eye shadow but I’ve never found a use for any of the colours other than purple. After seeing lots of pretty colourful looks online I wanted to try the colours I wouldn’t normally use.

With the green circle lenses it reminds me of a peacock’s feathers!

While it’s not a look that I would probably wear again, creating it was really good practice and I learned more about blending make up. Practice makes perfect right? ^_^

My favorite part of the outfit:

I love shoes with bows on the back!

Do you girls like trying new things and pushing your comfort zones or do you tend to find yourselves in the same style rut with outfits?

Sneaker Sunday- Coordination time :D

Sneaker Sunday time again!

Seeing as I showed you how to jazz up those red glittery sneakers a while ago I thought that I would show you how I co-ordinate them now 😀

That and it’s really difficult to put multiple photos in on my phone *_* Apparently our internet might be on this Wednesday though and I’ve got so many posts waiting to be written and photos waiting to be uploaded!!So my co-ordination:Dress- Made by me
Stockings- Myer
Shirt- SES
Shoes- Kmart glittered by me 😀
Hat- Birthday present with a Bodyline bow

These sneakers have been a god send while we’ve been getting set up in the new apartment. I tell you what, it’s very nice to have comfy shoes when you’re dragging a bag of groceries up a damn hill!

I also wanted to ask you all what you would like to see in Sneaker Sunday? Are your favorite posts the outfit ones? Or the silly ones? Or the tutorials? Is there anything you want to see here or do you have any suggestions? Please let me know in the comments of by emailing me and Valerie and I will try to make it happen 😀

And what have you all got planned for this weekend? I’m painting a whole bunch of nail art for a big surprise I’ve got planned ^_^

Valerie is traveling around America at the moment (lucky girl!) go have a look what her sneakers are up to if you want more sneaker sunday.

Outfit Of The Day Post!

Because it’s been so chilly lately I’ve been trying to rug up like crazy in my outfits!

Yay for long sleeves and learning how to co-ordinate them ^_^

My theme for this outfit was pink x grey which is a combination you don’t see often but I just love.

One of my other birthday gifts from my Mum was a mini hair straightener… as as you can see I’ve just learned about the joys of curling with a straightener! I am loving it so much 😀 I’m going to write a big proper view about it but I’m so happy I’ve found one that is actually robust enough to tame my hair XD

Yay for curls!

Do you girls have any tips for a straightener newbie like me? ^_^

I hope you’re all having a great week, I’m desperately waiting for the internet to get switched on here at our new place so I can reply to everyone!! Thanks for looking at my outfit!

Sneaker Sunday My Boy Sneakers

This Sneaker Sunday post is a little test, it’s the first one I’ve ever written entirely from my phone! If there are any random formatting problems that’s probably the reason!

So this week for Sneaker Sunday Valerie posed a question about alter egos and boys sneakers so let me introduce you to mine. His name… Err my name is Victor and as you can see I am most definitely a man.

You can see my manliness by my manly outfit. I’m wearing a striped jumper and plaid 3/4 length pants. My hat indicates I spent time in the Russian army… Or maybe I just like thrift shopping… Or maybe I found it on a park bench… You’ll never know because being a guy I am a mystery!

The most important part of this outfit is clearly the sneakers. You may be thinking that they are girly sneakers what with the frills and children’s book print… But you’re wrong. They are from Alice and the Pirates and they are good because they are shoes and they go on your feet. That is very manly.

In case you were wondering giving an outfit run down is also very manly.

Now I have to go do something extra manly like climb a mountain just because it’s there.

So if you want to learn more about guys sneakers go have a look at Valerie’s guest poster Ethan over at http://dweam.com

<3 Victor

P.S. That was a very manly heart. Now go enjoy more Sneaker Sunday post in a manly way.

Sneaker Sunday- Week 5

We’ve made it to Sneaker Sunday week 5 how exciting is that??

If you missed what it’s all about click here for the info.

How are you all spending your Sundays this week? I’m frantically trying to scan the last of my official documents so we have less paper to take with us on the move *_* Fun right?

When I’m having a boring day it just makes me want to dress up even more to cheer myself up!

Today’s outfit is a little bit fun and retro inspired…

Sneaker Sunday Week 5

Sneakers- Red Converse Knock offs from Kmart
Socks- Bodyline
Dress- Sam’s Warehouse Discount Store (kid’s department)

This outfit makes me smile because it’s not only totally cute but it’s very budget conscious too. The dress was like $12 in the kid’s section, the socks were $5 and the sneakers were only $9! Total- AU$26

For more Sneaker Sunday goodness head over to see Valerie’s post on her own outfit!

Have a good week everyone and don’t forget to send in your own photos and posts for the Sneaker Sunday gallery <3
