A new segment I’m trying out where in I show my morning make up routine for various days and chat about what I’m doing that day. Not really a tutorial, more of a random girly chat while we get ready together in the bathroom 😉
Today’s style features my basic look for days when I’m super lazy. Days like this I really want just quick make up with very little fuss. .

Lazy Days – Morning Make Up Instructions
Welcome to another edition of Morning Make Up where I do my make up and we chat.
Today’s look is what I do when I’m having a lazy day.
This is my ultimate lazy day style.
And starting with a bare face today and everything.
Moisturiser is definitely a must!
I love getting dressed up but there are some times when it’s just not practical.
Then some BB Cream next.
For days like this (or when I really just can’t be bothered) I like to do a simpler style.
I think so long as you have a good base and a little definition around your eyes it looks pretty good and it’s really quick.
I used a light cream all over the lid.
The light colour really brightens up the eyes.
And it’s amazing the difference it just makes even with this.
Some highlighter under the brow.
When I’m in a rush I can do this in around 5 minutes.
I add a tiny touch of bronze at the outer corner.
This gives a little definition to the eyes.
Then blend it out completely.
It becomes a really light shadow which creates depth.
I think the blending probably takes the most time overall.
Mascara!
When I’m not wearing false lashes I like to pile it on haha!
I’m quite guilty of that.
Lots of mascara.
Sometimes I won’t bother with liner but today I felt energetic.
Lazily energetic haha!
I think that’s the best kind of energetic.
I pretty much always wing it out.
the wing makes me look more awake and bright.
Depending on the shape of your eye and the angle of the wing you can get really cool effects.
A pretty pink lip gloss is always a must!
Having breakfast while I do my make up haha!
Classy!
I was actually in a hurry this day.
Done!
And with time to spare!
This is about as plain as I get.
It’s still a little bit pretty but it’s quite relaxed.
Of course, if I’m feeling really lazy I just put my glasses on to hide my eyes more.
BAM! Done!
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks for watching.

I get requests all the time for hair tutorials which can be worn at school. It’s a hard request because all schools have different rules about what can be worn and what can’t. So here is a bunch of ideas to inspire you. They aren’t full tutorials but you can get the generally idea. Pretty much all of them are just simple styles jazzed up with cute accessories. .

12 Easy Hairstyles For School Instructions
Hello!
Today’s tutorial is a mish-mash of a lot of different styles suitable for school!
I get a lot of requests for school appropriate hairstyles.
It’s a little hard though because every school has different rules.
My answer: put on a cute headband… done!
Seriously though, here are a bunch of real ideas.
1.
First up is an easy way to wear a headband a little bit differently.
Pull two pieces of hair in front of the ears forward.
Put on the headband and then twist the pieces backwards and pin them at the back of the head.
You can also skip the headband with this style and add a pretty bow or flower to cover the pin.
Cute and a bit more interesting than a plain headband.
#2
Next we have a simple style which is suited to Summer or being a bit more active.
For a quick clean look, tease your fringe upwards and then brush it back.
Pop a headband over it and then smooth down.
This one is very quick and great for keeping hair off your face in the Summer heat.
#3.
This is a messy twist on regular plaits.
Divide your hair in half and then plait half way down.
Tie it off then puff out the plaits so they are really puffy.
One done and then repeat on the other side.
You want to keep the plaits fairly loose as you’re going and start the plait a little further away from the ear than you would a tight plait.
This will give you lots of extra hair to puff it up and make it look messy.
#4
This style is a simple high half ponytail but it’s off to one side for extra cuteness.
Grab a small section of hair at the top of your head.
This style works best if you leave quite a bit of hair at the bottom.
Brush it to one side and then tie into a ponytail.
Add a pretty flower and that’s pretty much it!
My solution to jazzing up most plain hairstyles is to add a flower, bow or ribbon.
Super creative.
#5
This lower side ponytail is a little more elegant.
Pull all your hair over one side to your ear.
Tie up and add a flower.
I like to tie it just below my ear and then pull the band up to make it puff out.
Even a plain side ponytail looks better with a flower.

I have another matching set of videos. This time it’s the look I used when we filmed at the ocean. First is the Morning Make Up video featuring the red and black eye look. It’s nice and dark and quite versatile!
Then the hair style tutorial from the same look. I do love matching sets! The hair for this look is a big messy high bun.
Lastly, every year James and his brother Kris have an arm wrestling competition. It’s full of brotherly smack talk XD Enjoy!

Messy High Bun Hairstyle Instructions.
The tutorial I’m doing today is a fun style with two messy buns high up on my head.
Enjoy!
Brush out your hair and separate into halves.
Brush the sections up into two high ponytails.
Fluff out one side with your hands so it’s a bit messy.
Grab the top half of it and scrunch it up so it sits above the hairband.
It should be fluffy and messy.
Pin in place.
Once secure, scrunch up the second section of hair and pin it just below the hair band.
Again it should be quite messy.
If you need help with the scrunching, sometimes it’s easier to do this if your hair has been curled first.
For this style I prefer to leave it straight though so I can have some straight bits hanging down.
So you can see here, a few strands poking down completes the messy look.
But it looks cute with curls too.
Now repeat on the other side.
Fluff up, scrunch and pin.
Doing the top half first.
If you want more volume in the buns, you can tease the hair near the band before you scrunch it up.
The scrunching can take a few tries to get the hang of and it will come out differently every time.
It’s quite unpredictable.
Hairspray it all in place, pin any loose parts and fix up your fringe.
Done!
You should be able to feel how secure it is with the pins on your head.
Give your head a shake and see if it comes out.
This style is good for hiding regrowth at the front but not so much at the back!
You could add some cute accessories like a bow or a hair tie or small things like that. I like to add small clip in roses.

First video in an OOTD, this one features one of the dresses I got from DreamV. I think I might take it apart and make it a shirt/skirt combo because it’s a bit big and long as a dress so I can’t wear it without a belt 😀
And another OOTD which features a pink formal gown I was sent. I feel like a princess in it XD
Next is a hair tutorial which was originally in an OOTD post and was requested. It’s a mini high ponytail with a braid leading up to it.
And a while ago our family all came to visit at once. My Mum lives in Melbourne but all of James’ family plus my Dad came down on the same weekend. Many hijinks ensued XD
A new segment I’m trying out where in I show my morning make up routine for various days and chat about what I’m doing that day. Not really a tutorial, more of a random girly chat while we get ready together in the bathroom 😉
Today’s style features red and black, it’s a much darker look than I usually wear but I’ve been experimenting with some fun rock styles! It’s lots of fun to try something new every now and then! .

Dark Red And Black Morning Make Up Instructions.
Time for another random Morning Make Up video in which I do my make up and we chat.
Today is a very dark black and red to match the tartan dress I was wearing.
Foundation first as usual and then I started with some mascara.
I’m so tired.
I applied a wing of black shadow to the outer corners of my eyes.
I haven’t been sleeping well at all.
I brought the black down to the lower lash line.
I keep having the worst nightmares and they keep me up all night
Next I added a bright red over the black and brought it in to cover the middle of the lid.
It’s so frustrating because I can’t work out what’s causing them!
Do you guys have nightmares much? It really sucks.
I hurt my shoulder a while ago too which makes it awkward to sleep on so maybe that’s what’s waking me up too.
I filled in the rest of the lid in using a peach shade.
Being tired all the time makes me very grumpy and snappy.
After that it was time for a hell of a lot of blending.
James has nightmares too sometimes but his are about taking tests at school!
Next was a little highlighter which also softened the edges a bit.
My nightmares tend to be completely ridiculous situations.
I applied black pencil liner to the bottom waterline.
They are usually funny when I wake up but scary while I’m still asleep!
Then I applied a thick winged line of liquid liner to the top.
I brought it down to the lower lash line a little too.
Any tops for getting rid of nightmares? I could really use some.
Then I repeated it on the other side.
I can’t live on this little sleep!
Then I added some false lashes.
Or maybe I’ll just start drinking lots and lots of coffee and never sleep! I’ll be vibrating off the walls.
This is such a bold look that I just used a little nude lipstick and gloss on top.
If face in this video, I kind of look like I’m falling asleep a bit now.
All done! I look pretty tired because I haven’t been sleeping well but it’s a really pretty look and I’d like to try it again when my eyes are a bit less puffy.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching!
