A new segment I’m trying out where in I show my morning make up routine for various days and chat about what I’m doing that day. Not really a tutorial, more of a random girly chat while we get ready together in the bathroom 😉
Today is pink and blue glitter stripes

Time for another video in which I try out a new look and chat about my boring life. Yay.
Today is pink and blue.
Start with your regular foundation routine and add some highlighter under the brows.
I tend to get pinker the more stressful my week had been.
Add mascara to your top lashes.
This week had been pretty stressful, we had fraudulent transactions on your account.
Apply large false lashes.
So I’ve been talking to the bank all week which is pretty much my least favorite hobby.
Frustrating.
Get grumpy after realising you left half of your make up in another room.
See it had been a good week haha.
Apply a thin stripe of liquid liner.
I think the level of glitter I use is also directly proportional to my mood.
Apply purple shimmer stick to the crease and blend with a finger.
What do you all do to relax and unwind when your day sucks?
Apply matt pink shadow all over the lid and blend up to the purple.
I tend to either through myself into work or try to have a movie night with lots of junk food.
I’m going through a serious 90’s teen comedy kick at the moment.
The last one we watched was the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Use a small brush to add a line of blue matte shadow to the outer 1/3rd above the liner.
What were your favorite move from the 90’s? I am a massive sucker for Clueless.
Add pink glitter to the inner corner blending up and across diagonally.
I totally want to have an outfit picker like Cher one day.
Very simple to do, pity I didn’t see eyeliner bleeding on the left eye.
this is the problem with having a camera in front of the mirror.
Add some light lippy so it doesn’t take away from the eyes. Next time I’m thinking maybe 10 Things I Hate About You. Though I don’t think I liked it when it came out.
So that’s it, not really my best or most detailed look but I still like it and I love experimenting with colour.
All it needs it some big wavy hair to match.
Send me some feel good movie recommendations.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

My simple take on the classic low side ponytail. Very short because it’s a very easy style!

Sleek Side Ponytail Hair Instructions
Today I’m doing my twist on the standard side ponytail.
Grab a small section from the top on one side and brush over to the other side.
Grab a little more from the side and pull it all around to the back.
Twist it slightly so it has a little volume and pin in place.
You can see the twist better from the back.
Pull the rest of your hair around to the same side and into a low ponytail.
There are plenty of ways you can finish it off, my two favorites are wrapping a little hair around to cover the band.
Or use a stretchy pearl choker as a hairband.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

Looped Plaited Hair Tutorial For Spring
Today I’m doing a really simple style that looks really effective: looped plaits!
Brush out your hair and separate into two even sections.
Starting just above your ear plait holding it a little away from your head so it sits out.
Roll the end of the plait up and under the start.
Pin it in place.
Take the end of the plait and push it into the start so the loose end is completely hidden.
Add more pins if you need.
Repeat on the other side, start with the plait.
Some versions of this style use a hairband at the top but I prefer pins because it makes the loops a lot rounder.
Don’t forget to hide the ends of the plait and pin it very securely.
This is what it looks like from the back.
Add some embellishments like a headband or flowers.
All done!
This style is good for a casual look or even a classic Lolita style if that’s what you’re going for.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.

I think this is my all time favorite eye make up look.
Though that changes all the time so I’ll probably say something different tomorrow.
Basic skin and foundation first.
Apply highlighter under the brows and blend.
This was quite a while ago and my memory is failing me as I do this look so often.
Add thick eyeliner and wing it out quite a bit.
This is pretty much my auto pilot look now for when I can’t think of anything else.
Apply purple shadow all over the lid.
Do you guys have an auto pilot outfit/look?
Something you know you look good in no matter what?
Pack super bright pink glitter into the inner corner and blend 1/3rd of the way across. Sometimes wearing the same think over and over can get boring though.
The more sparkly the better.
I try to mix it up wearing the same items in different combinations.
Apply cream shimmer from the top of the brow bone to the purple and blend.
Sometimes though it can be hard to think of new combinations.
Add a bit of lilac cream pigment above the liner in the center.
So I get kind of stuck in a style rut.
Blend into the shadow.
Just doing the same things.
Take a dark purple shimmer and shade the outer corner in a pointed C shape, blend.
That’s usually when I go a completely different direction to try and get inspired again.
Other eye too.
Of course it doesn’t always work out well.
Line your waterline with white for brighter eyes.
But change and experimenting can be exactly what I need to get back and find inspiration.
Use brown liner on the outer 1/3rd of your lower lashes to join the wing.
It’s still nice to have comfy outfits and looks.
Apply mascara to the top lashes and the bottom outer 1/3rd.
And you can never go wrong with a pair of big false lashes.
Apply some nice thick pointed lashes.
And even it’s something I’ve worn a billion times before it’s still probably better than turning up in pajamas haha.
They take quite a while to dry so I keep going with other steps in the mean time.
Apply pink blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend well.
I never used to use blush but lately I’ve been wearing it more and more.
Add some berry pink lippy and a nice glitter gloss.
I still hate bronzer though, it never looks good on me.
Lashes are still drying.
I’ve been experimenting with highlighters lately so maybe bronzers are just around the corner.
I decided to add some lilac cream pigment to the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them a bit.
Last step. Soften the liner with some very dark shimmery purple.
I love the look of brown liner with purple shadow.
All finished. This is definitely one of my favorite looks.
Perfect for green eyes.
Now I need somewhere nice to wear it.
Shame to waste it at home. I’ll have to take James out somewhere fancy.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

How To Do A Braided Summer Updo
Welcome to another episode of Styling Celeste where I try out random hairstyles on my unwitting victim. lovely friend Celeste.
Today’s style is a plaited updo.
First brush and part the hair into two sections.
Celeste’s hair has purple streaks from when we were playing with Illamasqua pigment.
Plait each side.
Pippi Longstockings ahoy!
This part is pretty boring so don’t be surprised if your friend seems to be dozing off a bit.
Pin the plaits to the top of the head overlapping.
See the description for a link to a full tutorial.
It helps to have a very cooperative model.
She looks like an adorable marionette, who could resist being puppet master? Mwahaha.
For decoration you can use anything, the more flowers the better.
And here is the cute end result.
Of course having a cute hairstyle gives you licence to do silly poses!
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

Fun Summer Fimo Fruit Nail Art Instructions
This video is a reader request: using Fimo slices for nail art.
Start by applying a coat of pink glitter polish. You can see how badly my acrylics have grown out, I need to get to a salon asap!
The polish I’m using is a very sheer jelly so I needed 3 coats to get the colour I wanted.
Make sure that each coat is dry before you start the next.
So when you’re done you should have something along the lines of this.
Now it’s time to glitter the hell out of them.
You will obviously need some loose green glitter for that.
And clear polish to act as glue and sealant.
Take a small container and pour a good amount of the glitter into it.
It needs to be deep enough to fit the nail tip in.
Paint clear polish on following a line as if you were painting french tips.
It doesn’t need to be perfect so no need for a special brush.
While the polish is still wet dip the nail into the glitter.
The glitter will stick to the wet polish so when you pull it out you should have a glitter tip.
Continue painting each tip with clear polish and dipping into the glitter. You’ll notice that it’s not a completely opaque coverage soin a minute we’ll do a second coat.
I would definitely suggest putting down some paper or something to catch the glitter fall out.
Even with that I was picking up random off things for weeks afterwards.
Brush off the extra glitter, I’m using an old make up brush.
Now once it’s dry, if you feel it’s not bright enough then add a second coat.
Coat the tip with clear polish again and then redip it in the glitter.
Brush it off again and you’ve got super glitter.
It might be a little bumpy so if you prefer you can press it into a smoother shape while the polish dries.
We will use some more clear polish to glue the fruit down.
Draw a fairly thick line of polish along the edge of the glitter.
Using tweezers, place the fruit along the line and press them into the wet polish.
You might need to experiment with different types of fruit to fit correctly.
Continue placing fruit until all of your nails are covered.
Wait until it’s completely dry and then we’re almost finished.
The last step is to give it a nice top coat.
Make sure to get into all of the little nooks between the fimo so it seals in the fruit nice and tightly.
Once it’s all dry, you’re finished.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.
Bye!
