Backwards Braid Pigtails Hairstyle Instruction
I’ve been playing with braids lately and here’s one of the looks I’ve been wearing!
First pin your fringe out of the way and split your hair into two sections.
Take a small section of hair at the top front of the head and split it into 3.
Underhand plait it a couple of times to secure it.
To underhand plat, pull each strand under then over rather than over/under of a regular plait.
Now with every strand you plait under/over pick up another small piece of hair from the side.
Every few steps pull all of the strands tight so the braid is even.
Because you’re braiding under/over you should end up with a braid which sticks up on the side of the head.
This video assumes you have a basic knowledge of braiding so I’ll link to some beginners videos in the description.
Once you reach the ear, continue plaiting the rest of the way down and pin it for the moment.
Tie it all up with an elastic near your ear. Now you can undo the rest of the plait below the band.
Take a little strand from the back and wrap it around to hide the band.
Secure it at the back with a pin.
Brush through the ponytail and then recurl the ends if they need it.
Easy done.
So it’s just a matter of repeating on the other side now.
Take a small strand from the top and do the underhand plait again.
I find that to get the most even braids it helps not to pull it tight with every movements.
Do two or three and then pull them all tight together.
By not pulling tight the entire time you’ll find it’s harder to end up with that one irritating strand tighter than the rest if that irritates you for the rest of the day too.
Again, plaiting the strand to the bottom.
Elastic and then wrapped with hair to hide it all.
Done!

Low Curly Double Buns Hairstyle Instructions
Today I’ll show you one of my favourite styles.
It’s awesome because it looks so much more complicated than it is!
Start with waved or curled hair and split it into two ponytails just above your ears.
Use your hands to fluff up the ponytail.
Separate the curls and use your fingers to give it more volume.
To form the bun, grab the top 2/3rds of the ponytail in your hand and smoosh it to the side of your head above the elastic band.
Leave the last third dangling down for now.
Pin it in place until it’s secure.
The puffed out curls will form twists and loops making the bun look complicated.
You can leave the last piece of hair dangling for a softer look or fold it in half and pin under the bun.
By pinning it separately you can more easily control where the curls go as well as giving the bun more volume in general.
So repeating on the other side.
Fluff it up.
Pin up 2 thirds.
Pin up the final third.
And that’s all there is to it.
You probably want to hit it all with a good blast of hairspray to keep it all in place.

I think this style looks fantastic if you add some cute accessories like bows, flowers or my current favourite: usamimi!
You can do this style with much shorter hair too, just puff it out more to get the same sized buns.
From the back you can see the hair covers all of the hairband.

Curled Fringe or Bangs Using a Mini Straightener Hair Style Instructons
Curling your fringe with a straightener.
Morning!
Today I’ll show you how I curl my fringe using a mini straightener.
First brush your fringe and run the straightener over it get rid of any fly aways.
Angle the straightener at 45 degrees and twist it under so the hair is wrapped around the straightener.
Gently pull the straightener away from your face while twisting slightly.
Touch up any areas which didn’t curl completely.
Do so by clamping the straightener on half way and twisting in the direction of the curl.
Repeat on the other side.
So start by straightening the hair and brushing.
Again, clamp at a 45 degree angle but this time the opposite direction.
Rotate the straightener under.
This side has a lot more hair so I like to concentrate on getting that curl right first before I do the rest in sections.
It can take a little more time to get this to work as there is more hair to curl.
When the curl under is perfect, take one third sections and twist them around the straightener into curls.
Working with smaller sections will give you better control.
Do the longest section last.
It can be hard to twist the straightener on this side if you’re right-handed so if it’s easier just come in to the curl from the top angle rather than the bottom.
Keep working it until you are happy with the curls.
I like to curl some longer bits around my face as well to frame it nicely.
This creates a really soft look.
And that’s it!
Add a pretty hair accessory and you’ve got a very pretty casual look!
I think this fringe looks fantastic with ponytails and other updos as well.

Curling Ends Using a Mini Straightener Hair Style Instructions.
Today I’m going to show you how I curl the ends of my hair using a mini straightener.
Mine is a little travel one, perfect size for me.
First section your hair in half.
Divide one half into front and back sections and pin the front out of the way.
Brush through the back which we’ll be working with forst.
Apply a heat protector spray too.
Take a small section of hair and brush it smooth.
Clamp the straightener on the strand around 1/3rd down and then wrap the bottom of the hair completely around the straightener once.
Rotate the straightener in place backwards.
Keep rotating until the end of the hair is pointing straight down again.
Holding the end of the strand gently more the straightener down the hair.
When you get around half way it helps to hold the top of the strand to gently pull it through the straightener.
So this all the way to the very end concentrating on the tips.
It should come out as a wave at the top and a nice round ringlet at the bottom.
So again.
Clamp the straightener.
Wrap the tail around it.
Rotate the straightener so the tail is pointed downwards.
Gently pull the hair through it.
It really helps not to clamp the straightener down too hard.
If it’s too tight you will need to pull the hair through with too much force and that will ruin the curl.
It can be really awkward to get the hang of first but practice to get the twisting motion right really helps.
And there’s another bouncy curl!
So at this point it’s a matter of repeating those steps until you run out of hair.
Once you master the twisting that makes the curls you can twist strands the opposite way so the curl spirals either clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on the style you want.
It’s a good idea to twist them different ways otherwise they can mash together to form a gigantic super curl after a while.
So that’s one section done!
Use some hairspray to set everything in place.
Bouncy!
So let the front section on the same side down and continue.
I like the curls around my face to be tighter so I start higher up and take more time on each curl.
If one of them doesn’t work just wait for it to cool down and try again.
Or if you want to curl it more up the top recurl the section making sure to follow the original curve of the curl.
This is how I fix up one of the strands which wasn’t quite as curly as the others.
No you just need to do the other half. I usually do this while watching tv otherwise it can get pretty boring…
Unfortunately you guys are just stuck watching me.
Though maybe you’re trying to do this along with the video so I’m kind of like the tv.
Bam! Curly ends.
There are so many styles you can do with this hair but my favorite is just to add a hair bow or usamimi. Cute.
If all of your curls spiral in the same direction you might find them coming together into a gigantic monster sausage curl during the day.
If that’s the case you can separate and recurl with your fingers and add some hairspray.
You can also encourage a couple of them to rotate the other way with your fingers.

Mini Curl Wand and 3 Quick Hair Style Instructions
Lots of curly styles using a mini styling wand.
Today I’m going to take my new Remmington mini wand for a test run and use it to create several different styles.
First thing is to section your hair into four.
Start working with the bottom back section and separate a one inch piece.
Wrap the piece of hair around the thick end of the wand once it secure it.
Continue wrapping until you reach the end of the hair.
Be careful not to burn your fingers.
Wait around 10 seconds then unwrap the hair again gently.
Tadaa curl.
Continue taking small sections of hair and curling them in this way.
I got a bit distracted on a phone call so this one was extra curly.
The smaller the sections you take, the curlier the end result.
I like to curl the front sections extra well so they frame my face.
Straight from the rod, these curls come out very defined.
In a moment I’ll show you how to style them differently.
Once you do the other side you should have something like this.
The curl type reminds me a lot of the 1990’s so the first style I thought of was curly volumous pigtails.
For this you need to split your hair in two sections, hold one just above your ear.
Twist once upwards on the side of the head and pin above the twist.
Repeat and enjoy pretending to be in a 90’s cheerleader movie.
Another style right after curling is a simple updo.
Pull the hair upwards into a high ponytail and twist.
Pin in place or just use a wide tooth clip.
Arrange the curls so they cascade over your head.
For an extra dose of the 90’s you can add a zigzag part to your fringe using a bobby pin.
Easy style #2 done!
Now from your original curl, you can actually create several different kinds.
The simple next step is to brush through them with your fingers so they separate slightly.
See the difference on the left and right sides?
This makes it much more relaxed.
Gently running a brush through will create a gentle waved effect.
Again, see the difference between the brushed side on the left and the side I ran my fingers through on the right.
In fact, waves like this are perfect for a Jessica Rabbit-ish look.
Just start by making a deep side part.
Pull a little hair back from the side with the part and pin it.
Blow dry or use a styler for extra fringe volume.
All you need now is some red lipstick to top it off.
Add a black and white filter and you’re done!
I like to be economical with my curls so I don’t have to head style it as often.
To make them last several days this is my schedule:
Day one: curled updo.
Day two: separate with fingers and leave down.
Day three: brush out for waves.
