Time for another random morning make up video in which I do my make up and we chat.
Today we’re doing a bright white look.
Foundation first as usual.
A generous coat of mascara next.
Today I’m testing my new lighting set up.
White shimmer pencil on the inner corner and waterline.
It’s much brighter than the old one but I haven’t quite gotten the camera settings right yet.
A beige shadow with gold flecks all over the lid as a base.
I’ve been collecting things for the perfect set up over the last year but it’s slow going.
Light pink shadow on the outer half on the lid.
It would be very cool to have a whole room dedicated to filming and blogging.
Shimmer white highlighter under the brows.
I’ll add that to my house hunting list.
To give it some depth I added some plum to the outer corners in a pointed C shape.
At the moment I have a little dressing table and I do my blogging from a table at the couch.
And blend it all together.
It’s pretty comfy but it would be great to have room for a big desk.
Eyeliner time.
This time I used a liner with a purple shine to it, very pretty.
Or a big table for sewing.
Me sewing table is next to the tv and it doubles as a photography space.
Some nice big false lashes top off the look.
I’m very lucky to have decent floor space to lay out sewing projects for cutting.
Light pink blush suits this look perfectly as does a nice pink lipgloss.
I’ll add my requests to my completely unrealistic “when I’m a millionaire” list.
Of course another coat of mascara couldn’t hurt.
Give it time and hard work and I’ll get there!
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.
Bye!

Today’s style features another version of the plum look I’ve been wearing a lot lately, this one has a lot more white ^_^

Time for another random morning make up video in which I do my make up and we chat.
Today is another version of the plum I’ve been wearing a lot of.
This is usually how my morning make up starts off.
Primed and reasy to be awesome.
Yay tea and it’s magical properties.
So getting started, foundation routine first as usual.
I started with pink highlighter under my brow.
I’m so excited about this year, a lot of the things James and I have been working towards are finally happening.
The light purple shadow all over the lid.
This year hopefully we’ll finally be able to buy a house.
I added the plum to the crease and outer 1/3rd of the eye.
We’ve been trying for almost 4 years now so I’m excited.
Next I blended it all together using a fluffing brush.
We’re looking at CBD apartments at the moment, we can’t decide if we like the idea of city lifestyle or living far out and having more space.
I put a thick line of white pencil over my lash line.
It would be nice to have a proper craft room again and James wants a photography studio but I love living in the city so much.
Then added some more white to the middle section of the lid.
If we lived out in the middle of no where we’d have to buy a car again too.
Tea break.
Again I blended the white out with a fluffy brush.
I really love living in the city and having everything within walking distance. It’s great for being able to meet new people everyday too.
I added a fairly thin line of eyeliner to the lash line with a bit of a wing.
I actually really love our current apartment but the ones for sale in the building are a bit out of out price range.
Mascara and false lashes next.
In a perfect world we would probably move over to Docklands, the apartments there are really nice.
Much more expensive than the CBD though.
I topped it off with some Bourjois Rose Exclusif lipgloss which goes on clear then reacts to the PH of your lips to change into a unique colour. I love gimmicks and the colour is actually really nice.
All done.
And who knows, maybe this is the look I’ll be wearing when we finally settle on a house.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

Today’s style features orange mixed with a little bit of purple. I don’t normally like browns and oranges but for some reason this look just kind of grew on me and stuck 😀 It’s quite a toned down look for me.

Time for another random morning make up video in which I do my make up and we chat.
Today I have some fun with orange eyeshadow.
I’ve never been a fan of orange but for some reason I really like this look.
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to edit this.
I started with my regular foundation routine.
I took this footage like 6 months ago.
I used a brown pencil liner to apply a medium top line.
As I’m editing this, Melbourne is having the worst heat wave.
Then half the way along the bottom lash line.
I can’t wait to live somewhere with airconditioning again.
And the other side.
I’m surviving on frozen fruit juice.
Do you guys have any favorite ways to keep cool?
I’m about ready to climb in the freezer.
I applied a creamy gold to my brow line as a highlighter.
I think maybe it’s time to move countries somewhere much colder.
So far…
I applied a terracotta orange all over the lid.
That or buy one of those fake snow machines and blast my apartment into a winter wonderland.
Next I blended and softened the look with some lavender in the corner and lash line.
If the iceskating rink here wasn’t so expensive I would totally just take a tent and live there.
Then I had an insane attack of hayfever.
Summer hayfever is the worst.
And did the lavender on the other side.
I with I could think of more cold foods to eat to cool down.
I added some very dark purple to blend to the liner.
The only things in my brain are salad and ice tea. Any ideas?
Quite a neutral look for me.
Now to close my eyes and wish it was Winter.
Add some mascara both sides.
Maybe I should try to make cold soba noodles again, that sounds yummy.
Then some 3/4 false lashes.
I don’t think I have the energy for cooking, the head just makes me sleepy.
In face I’m pretty sure all this hard work deserves a nap right?
A little more mascara on top.
Shh stop being so noisy, I’m trying to sleep guys!
And then some mascara on the outer bottom lashes.
Bleh even too hot even for sleeping.
Pink blush really makes this look pop.
I think I’ll just slowly assimilate into the couch until Autumn.
Because this is such a neutral look I kept the lips fairly plain too.
I used a slightly pink lipstick with a nude gloss.
So hot I can’t even think of anything funny to say.
Ant that’s all there is to it!
Hopefully it will be a bit coller next time and I’ll have more energy.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.

Today’s style features plum and white blended together. I wore a very similar look to this on New Years Eve and I think I’ll be wearing it again for Lunar New Years Celebrations this year because I’m in love with the colours.

Time for another random morning make up video in which I do my make up and we chat.
Today is a variation of the look I wore for New Years.
Ad usual I started with my foundation and added light pink highlighter to my brows.
I applied light pink shadow all over the lid.
What did you all get up to for New Years?
All of our plans were cancelled so we did everything last minute.
A purple/maroon colour was added to the outer corners in a C shape.
We ended up going to Docklands for the early fireworks.
Then I added some plumb over the inner edge of the maroon.
then we came home.
I didn’t like the first pink so I added another one over the top of it.
Then we went out again to Southbank for the real ones.
I used a very dark shimmer purple on the outer half of the lash line.
James has a real love for fireworks but I’m pretty indifferent to them. I think after you see one, they all look the same.
Next I added a little white liner to the center lash line and placed a dab of white shadow over it.
Here in Melbourne they launch the fireworks off all of the tallest CBD buildings.
Then using a fluffy brush I blended it all together.
We were standing right under one of them this time so the explosions lit up the cloud like lightening, that was pretty cool.
To make sure my liner brush has a nice point I put a drop of make up remover on a cotton pad and squeeze it into shape.
What does your city do for New Years?
Eyeliner time! I used a fairly thin line.
To be honest, I think I would be just as happy to celebrate the new year by staying at home watching a movie.
I added some bottom liner to the outer corner and joined up the bottom line to the top.
I think I live the lift of an old lady: napping, tea and embroidery.
Mascara and a little pink blush next.
In fact I think my life is probably even more boring than an old lady because it’s hard to yell at kids to get off my lawn in an apartment.
Then equally pink lipstick and gloss.
“Damn you whippersnappers get out of my hallway” doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.
Lastly some winged 3/4 lashes to top it all off.
I think I need to work on my cranky old lady act.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

One of my Christmas presents this year from the awesome Fables in Fashion was this awesome Unii magnetic palette. So the other day I set about consolidating some of my favorite eyeshadows into an ultimate travel palette!
This time I used the hair straightener method and here’s the way I did it.
First I collected all of my shadows and worked out exactly how many I could fit in.
After letting my mini straightener heat up I picked the first palette to do, since I hadn’t used the method before I picked one that I had another very similar colour to incase it didn’t go well.I placed the shadow onto the straightener and used it to gently heat the back, this loosens the glue and allows you to pry them out easily. I was careful not to heat it enough to melt the plastic, just enough to be warm.Using a sewing needle I gently wedged the shadows out. It was a little hard at first because there wasn’t much room between the shadow and plastic but after working the various sides and reheating a few times I managed to pop it out.
Done!
Some of the shadows I depotted required a bit of clean up on the bottoms and sides to remove the extra glue or extra crushed shadow.
This was my placement, you can see that the gold (a super cheap one from a palette I hardly use now) didn’t quite fit so I used some scissors and snipped off the end. A couple of the shadows cracked while I was removing them but I fixed that easily by repressing with some hand sanitiser.
Some of the shadows were magnetic to start with but others I needed to add the magnets that came with the palette, this posed a bit of a problem with a couple of the larger ones because they were quite tall and with the added magnet the lid no longer closed. I also found the adhesive on the magnets didn’t want to stick to some of the shadows. I figured I probably wouldn’t be changing the shadows around any time soon so I used thin double sided tape instead.
So there you go, these are the colours I use the most and now they’re all in one place and I don’t have to pack a billion things when I travel!
Absolutely love it and it makes my morning make up routine so much more organised and easy! Thank you Celina! |
