Lip Smackers Strawberry Detangler Spray

Price: $4.99 at Priceline

Obtained: Bought

Thoughts:

I love strawberry Lipsmackers, they smell amazing. So when I saw this at Priceline I figured I’d give it a try because having hair that smells like strawberry Lipsmacker would be AWESOME.

Unfortunately it’s pretty terrible at detangling my hair, I found it was harder to brush out knots than without it. It smells so damn good though, I took to using it as a hair perfume rather than a detangler. It’s super cheap at $5 for a huge bottle so worth it just for the smell. It may be that it just doesn’t work well with my mess of frizzy hair and would work fine with thinner straight hair, not sure and I’m too distracted by the smell to test it on a friend 😉

Would I buy Lip Smackers Strawberry Detangler Spray again: Not as a detangler, I might for the smell but the bottle is so big that I doubt I’ll need to.

Nivea Visage Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes Review… Currently Using

nivea-sensitive-wipes

Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes

Price: Around $7 per pack

Obtained: Gift bag

Thoughts:

This version is designed specially for dry and sensitive skin. Testing them against the regular version in the same range, these ones have a stronger smell which I found a bit odd because usually sensitive skin products aren’t scented. They smell like make up remover and are fairly similar to baby wipes. They take a bit of effort to get eye make up off and while they do work they also take a bit more of rubbing than my regular remover so that negates the fact that they are for sensitive skin. While they were very convenient I think I will stick to regular liquid make up remover and it involves less rubbing.

Would I buy Nivea Cleansing Wipes again: From a convenience point I would but for sensitive skin I prefer regular make up remover as it requires less rubbing and therefore less chance of irritation.

Thoughts:

These are free from perfume, alcohol, colour and oil and also suitable for sensitive eyes apparently which I like as my eyes are very sensitive. They smell like moisturiser and have a bumpy texture that helps to remove make up fairly easily. Out of the packet they feel very wet and leave a nice moisturised feeling which is nice.

Compared to the sensitive skin version of the same range these ones smell better. I tested it against the sensitive version on my arm and found this one needed more rubbing to remove liquid eyeliner and left my arm a little red from rubbing while the sensitive one didn’t.

Overall I’m not a big fan of make up wipes in general because I don’t think they are cost effective but they are quite convenient so I would probably keep using them.

Would I buy Nivea Cleansing Wipes  again: Yes.

Epically Epic Soap Co. Yellow Cake Perfume Oil

Obtained: Gift

Thoughts:

Oh my god this the the most delicious smell in the universe. It really smells like cake… like really… like I put it on and James asks where I got cake from and where his is… really. Food smells like this in perfume really shouldn’t be allowed because every time I put it on I immediately crave cake. There’s not a huge amount I can say about it other than… it really smell like cake and if you want to smell like cake you should try it out. The price point is good, it feels very nice on the skin and is absorbed nice and quick. The smell hangs around but is not overpowering.

Would I buy Yellow Cake Perfume Oil again: Absolutely, I’m looking forward to buying the other flavours she sells as well as trying out the lip glosses if I get any Christmas money this year!

Montagne Jeunesse Anti Stress Peel-Off Masque Review… Currently Using

montagne-jeunesse-mask

Montagne Jeunesse Anti Stress Peel-Off Masque

Price: $3.50 per mask

Obtained: Bought

Thoughts:

I’ve been using these since I was around 15 years old and my friend and I had a girls trip to Brisbane for a concert. This peel off one is my favorite that I’ve tried, partially because it feels nice and partially because it’s fun to peel off 😉

It’s very soothing going on and feels very cool, I probably wouldn’t use it in Winter though because the cooling sensation might be too much. There’s a lot in a packet so if  you wanted to be frugal you could probably get two uses out of it.

The formula is a runny gel which makes application a bit messy. Once it’s on it feels soothing and I found it easy to relax, don’t glob it on too thick though otherwise you’ll spend the whole time thinking it’s running down your face! After it dries in around 20 min you just peel the whole thing off. Ive used these many times and for some reason it never dries around my cheeks so I end up just washing that off after. When it peels off it’s supposed to take a bunch of gunk with it and it does leave me with very smooth skin. So yes it does the job, it’s an average price for Aus and my skin feels nice and relaxed.

Would I buy Montagne Jeunesse Anti Stress Peel-Off Masque again: Yes, I buy them every few months as a treat.

Benefit Benetint + Gloss Pocket Pal Review… Currently Using

Benetint + Gloss Pocket Pal- Benefit

Price: A$39

Obtained: Gift Bag

Thoughts:

I had really high hopes for it after reading so many positive reviews from other bloggers. Unfortunately this is one of those times when a product and I just don’t work well together 🙁 I really loved the packaging though.

The idea behind the product is that one side is a gloss and the other a lip/cheek stain. The gloss itself was ok, fairly average for a thick shiny gloss though it was damn near impossible to get a reasonable amount out on the wand due to the tiny hole at the top.

I am a big fan of lip tint but this one just didn’t work for me. It is very watery so I found it dfficult to paint on a reasonable amount without it running. Because of the wateriness it also takes a very long time to dry which can be frustrating as putting the gloss on before it’s completely dry just results in you getting colour through the clear gloss side. So I don’t think I would class this as something I would use on the go. That said, I can see how it would be great as a cheek tint because you have time to apply it and clear up mistakes before it dries.

While the smell isn’t overpowering it’s still not nice… if you are uncoordinated like me and happen to get any in your mouth it’s very unpleasant *_* The colour itself is nice, not too pigmented but something that wold be wearable with a lot of looks. Like I said though, this product has so many positive reviews so it’s definitely worth trying out in store and see whether it works for you.

Would I buy Benetint and Gloss Pocket again: Not for me but I might consider buying as a gift.
