MOR Dolce Honey Lotion

Price: $10

Obtained: Gift Bag

Thoughts:

Nothing different in the formula to the full reviews I wrote on them so I can only talk about the smells. Oh my god so good. Amber, cotton candy, vanilla, honey are the main fragrances. The vanilla and honey are the most dominant smells and it’s delicious. I wish I was better at describing smells because it was so yummy! It’s really subtle so I would recommend this as being perfect for people who can’t stand strong scents. It’s available at Target and the whole range is quite well priced. I love pretty much the whole range and all of the scents.

Would I buy MOR Dolce Honey Lotion again: Yes.

Mirenesse Invisible Fill Foundation… Currently Reviewing

Mirenesse Invisible Fill Foundation

Price: $59.50

Obtained: Gift Bag

Thoughts:

You know what I love about this first and foremost? The packaging. Seriously, whoever designed this is a genius because not only does it have a very nice sponge applicator built in, it also has a mirror built into the lid for application. So handy! The only problem I could for see with this is that if I stick it in my handbag it will probably get scratched, other that that it’s awesome!

The colour I received in the gift bag was much too dark for my skin so I only wore this at home to test it out. The formula was quite sheer and it is lightly perfumed so I do suggest testing before buying to see if the scent is ok for you. So other than it being the wrong colour I actually loved the scent and the formula. The bottle is pretty big which is also a plus. It goes on very smoothly and dries to a matt finish.

The sponge did application well but I also found that buffing it in with a brush afterward gave an even better finish. Lasted about as long as my other foundations but while I was wearing it my skin felt so much smoother and softer. Really liked it actually and I would definitely look into getting the lighter shade from this range even though it’s quite pricey.

Would I buy Mirenesse Invisible Fill Foundation again: Possibly in a different shade if I had the money.

NYX Black Pencil Liner… Currently Reviewing

nyx-liner

NYX Black Pencil Liner

Price: $2

Obtained: Bought

Thoughts:

I bought this in a fit of desperation after losing my favorite liner and having a dinner to go to. It was super cheap and while it goes on smoothly, it also smudges like crazy and doesn’t stay in place pretty much at all. I like it for dark smokey looks which dont require any precision work because it moves around a lot but not for anything particularly detailed. It’s an eye pencil and it’s black… I don’t know if you can really ask for more than that for $2.

Would I buy NYX Black Pencil Liner again: I don’t do smokey eyes enough to repurchase but if that’s your thing then I say go for it.

Vanilla Bean Noel Anti-Bacterial Gel… Currently Reviewing

Vanilla Bean Noel Anti-Bacterial Gel

Price: $1.50

Obtained: Gift from a friend

Thoughts:

Hand sanitizer is so very important to me. Especially when we’re in the city it’s nice having something to de-grime that also smells nice. Before this I used to use the regular Detol one which has a strong disinfectant smell this being vanilla is a huuuuge plus! It has little beads floating inside which dissolve when rubbed in. It doesn’t leave my hands dry like some other sanitisers. I like it a lot and it’s much cheaper than most of the handbag sized ones here so I would definitely look for somewhere online I could buy this.

Would I buy Vanilla Bean Noel Anti-Bacterial Gel again: Yes.

Trishave 3 in 1 Shave Creme… Currently Reviewing

Trishave 3 in 1 Shave Creme

Price: $8.50

Obtained: Gift Bag

Thoughts:

I am always looking for good shaving aids because my skin is so sensitive. As this is aimed at sensitive skin I was excited to try it out. It feels smooth going on but doesn’t really lather, it’s more of a cream. It looks weirdly shiny coming out of the bottle but does actually work really well and helps the razor to glide smoothly across the skin. No itchy skin at all afterwards so yay!

The smell is too much for me though, it’s dulled in the shower but it’s still pretty intense tea tree oil. If that’s not your thing then definitely smell in store before you buy. I honestly hated the smell at first but considering the results I kept using anyway and it grew on me.

Would I buy Trishave 3 in 1 Shave Creme again: Not sure, it works really well but I really, really hate the smell so I don’t think I would buy it again.

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream… Currently Reviewing

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream

Price: $75

Obtained: Gift Bag

Thoughts:

This was the first designated eye cream I ever tried. It has no particular smell, a thinish creamy texture and feels nice going on. I used it around 6 months and didn’t see any change in my eyes so I don’t think this was right for my skin type. The first few times it stung a bit around my eyes so I’m not sure I’d recommend it for  very sensitive skin. Nothing particularly bad to say about it but nothing particularly good either so I have no strong feelings either way.

Would I buy Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream again: I didn’t notice a change so I probably wouldn’t purchase it.
