I just wanted to direct you all to my delightful boyfriend James’ entry to the Pringles competition!
It’s a stop motion animation about how Pringles save his day from being boring at great cost to their own lives ๐
If you enjoyed mine, his is about 13928409834 times better so go and have a look by clicking the link below <3
He seriously spent hooours taking all the photos to make that stop motion animation so he deserves some love!
Hope you’re all having a great weekend <3

Ah this little ACEO doodle is how I am feeling right now!
You know those days that just draaaaag on? The main difference between me an the cute little Lolita above is that I have a packet of Timtams next to me. Who ever invented Timtams needs a medal. Or a commendation from the Queen. I wonder if the Queen eats Timtams with her tea? I like to think she does! I bet she has an unlimited supply too. Damn lucky Queen.
To distract myself I’ve been thinking about what I’m planning for this weekend…
- Trying to finish the new Blue Crane Design website… which is what I’m doing now.
- Decide on a design to deco my new phone case.
- Photos for 2 hair tutorials- hot rollers and kitty rolls
- Dye hair (if I have time to do the above tutorials!)
- Start next website for work.
- Try to physically leave the house and go shopping!
- Do something crafty
- Sleep for a decent amount of time
- Download a bunch of new iphone apps to play with and find a cute screen saver
- Do at least 5 more lessons of Japanese coach, write 2 entries on Lang 8 and try to learn some more kanji
- Do my nails for guest post at Lisa’s blog
Well that’s a pretty full weekend, I better get back to work so I can start enjoying it tonight!
What are you guys going to be up to? Have any of you made ACEOs recently?

As a lot of you would know I’m withย Nuffnangย for my blog advertising and I love them to death!
Who doesn’t like getting presents right? As well as organizing my advertising they have also built a community for bloggers which I love being a part of. It’s kind of like a big family and because they are based here in the Asia Pacific area it’s not like talking to someone on the other side of the world!
And they send me presents which rocks!
Outfit- Skirt and jacket: Angelic Pretty Stockings- Myer Beret- Portmans Shoes- some place in the City, customized
Hmm it feels very heavy! I wonder what’s inside it? Open it up and all the Nuffy goodness pours out!
First thing to come out is a $10 Coles Myer gift voucher! Yaaay! Nuffnang is having a competition at the moment where the blogger who spends this voucher in the most creative or frugal way wins a $100 voucher, I have an awesome idea which I’m going to try out tomorrow so wish me luck!
And a lovely letter welcoming me to the Nuffnang family ๐
Guess what? I designed that little guy in the corner of the letter! How cute is it that they actually used my silly sketch on their letterhead ^_^
Now the rest of the awesome stuff… This is a sample pack of Redken hair supplies for girls! How cool is it that the samples are actually in usable sizes instead of those stupid little packets? I’m going to try it out and let you know how it works on my hair!
And there is a bottle of Blackberry/Vanilla tea from Spring Valley and John West Tuna with Beans. The tea was super yummy! I haven’t tried the tuna yet, I think I might let James have it because he’s a big fan of beans ^_^
And something which will be important later on in this post… a matching pack of Redken hair supplies for boys! Big sample sizes and information books in this one too ๐ Also there is a packet of Leggo’s Italian Beef Casserole base thingy which will be my dinner tonight! Thank you Nuffnang for feeding me for a day ^_^
Taadaa! All of the fun stuff together!
I mentioned that Nuffnang is having a competition with who can spend their Coles Myer voucher in the most creative/frugal way so I decided to put my thinking cap on and come up with something fun to do with it… Did I not mention that my thinking cap is actually the box that my items came in?
Then I decided that instead of entering that competition I would make up my own… May I present “THE MOST CREATIVE USE OF PACKAGING”
I fashioned the tissue paper the presents were wrapped in into a beautiful gigantic bow!
Super adorable and attractive right? I totally deserve a special prize for creativity and cuteness! Got to make sure it’s straight! Don’t worry I’m going to go buy my actually competition entry tomorrow ๐
Now if you remember I mentioned before you should take notice of the men’s hair products from Redken… I decided to experiment with them on James! He wasn’t so keen on the idea especially seeing as he shaves his head. I said too bad! After chasing him around the room for 10 minutes I finally pinned him down ๐
Apparently it was very cold ^_^ It smelled delicious though!
Make sure to rub it in well, lather rinse and repeat! Poor sad James he looks so miserable… oh well!
He was only sad for a minute though because then this happened…..
Giant afro hair of doom! Very suave! I’m sure I’ll be fighting all the ladies off him with a stick XD
Anyway if you guys were wondering how to get one of these gift baskets for yourselves, all you have to do is sign up with Nuffnang and they’ll send one out! Here is the link to register, make sure to put my URL in as the “Referred By URL” if you end up joining ^_^
Well I’m off to enjoy my Casserole thingy for dinner now ๐
What’s the coolest free thing you guys have every got/won? Are you signed up with Nuffnang?

Well a lot of you guys are my friends on Poupee Girl so I thought I’d have a talk about the new Jewel system that they’re implementing now.
If you want to know what poupee girl is have a look at my original post here.
So Katherine announced the other day that they are going to being a new campaign called Jewels.
What is it?
-Poupee has a currency of ribbons, you can earn ribbons to buy cute clothes for your Poupee at the market and at special events at Katherine’s shop. About a year or so ago they put in a new feature where you could buy ribbons. The basic idea with jewels is that now instead of being able to buy ribbons you will be able to buy jewels, a second currency.
So? What do jewels get me?
Well the only thing you can do with jewels is buy clothes at the special Jewel floor of Katherine’s shop.
And what’s the point of this?
Well judging by the current trend they are now only going to release the cutest items on the special floor of Katherine’s store. So what it boils down to is that if you want the super cute items you’ll have to spend real money and buy jewels. It also seems you won’t be able to use your jewels to buy anything other than the special items.
Apparently several other free to play webgames have gone the same way as Poupee and are more and more often implementing pay to play parts of the site. I am in no way against the creators and people who work on the site making money, they totally deserve it with the cool games they create… but I think there are much better ways to do things than this. Firstly Poupee is already full of subtle advertising, every time you leave a comment there is fine print advertising underneath. Not the mention the special even sales at Katherine’s shop which link to real world items. More special events please!
So what do other users think? Is this going to change the way you play Poupee Girl?

In which I enjoy breakfast in bed.
Ah as you guys know I haven’t been feeling too great lately what with work and seeming to catch every single flu and cold that blows through the city… It’s horrible some times. Having an illness which makes you immune system so low means you get sick much more often than other people on top of your usual symptoms.
But enough whining! This is a happy post because I have the best boyfriend in the whole world!
I was surprised the other day with breakfast in bed… well actually it was breakfast in couch because while he was making it I woke up and came down stairs and scared him half to death ^_^
This is probably the only photo of me you’ll ever see not dressed properly, heehee even my bathrobe is pink!
This is what I was served! It was even on a silver platter, how beautiful is that?! Peanut butter and honey toast, buttered toast, a cut up sugared strawberry, a cup of tea just how I like it and to top it all off… an Bueno! Man I love Buenos! Come and sponsor me Bueno and give me lots of free Buenos! XD
And that’s why I have the best boyfriend ever!
Now after that brief interlude of relaxation I’ve got the get back to work ๐
Upcoming posts:
-Review of an adorable CSN stores product (They sell lots of stuff like homewares, wine racks, kids/princess themed things but I’m going to be reviewing this cute hanger thingy when it arrives)
-Outfit posts
-Tutorial- how to use hot rollers
-Lots more!
Also I’m going to be cleaning out my closets and deco supplies soon and putting them up for sale on ebay. I am going to be getting rid of most of my older Lolita style clothes and lots more, if any of you are interested I’d much rather sell to friends than strangers so comment if you are interested in me making a sales post here before I do everything on ebay.
Lots of love!
Do you guys ever get treated to breakfast in bed?
by VioletLeBeaux | Aug 7, 2009 | Hime Gyaru, Life, Nails
Evening all! Excuse if this post is a little all over the place, my brain is fried from looking at code for the last 3 days. Yes I know today is supposed to be ACEO Friday but I’m so behind on posting I thought I’d scrap it this week and show you some photos from last weekend.
James and I went to Greazefest!
What’s Greazefest? Well it’s a Kustom Kulture expo, basically full of classic cars, Rockabilly/Psychobilly music and 50-60’s culture! We go every year and it’s fantastic. These are the type of cars that you can expect to see at a Kustom Kulture expo:
I spent a lot of the day posing for photos with the “normal” people, very funny as I was wearing Hime Gyaru fashion not Rockabilly ^_^ Ah they are a bit similar so everyone assumes.
This car was so tiny! I can’t remember what model it was but it litterally came up to just above my waist!
So I decided to play out my Godzilla fantasies and pretend to crush it. Hime Gyaru is a fearesome monster! RRRAAARGH!
I can’t remember what this band was called but they played a lot! None of our friends were playing this year which was quite disapointing but oh well! I do miss bands like the Voodoo Kreepers, Bad Moon Company and Men Into Space, they were all awesome ๐
This is one of my dream cars! Pity I can’t drive XD Can you imagine going on picnics in this though?!
This is one of James dream cars haha. My god it was very hot that day, this year there were so many more people than usual too so there was no shade. I ended up cowering under my parasol all day!
How cool is the inside?
There were even adorable kid’s cars done up in classic style! So cute!!
This was the main stage, there are always heaps of swing dancers but when we took this photo there were just a bunch of kids. It’s a big family day and it’s adorable to see the tiny little girls in their swing dresses or the little boys with their turned up jeans and quiffs.
Heehee after James took this I noticed you can see us both in the reflection!
Me next to my picnic car ๐
Posing for a really nice old guy who loved this car ^_^ haha coming to Greazefest can make you feel like a celebrity!
After we walked around for 3 hours looking at the cars and market stalls I needed a break to sit. Look behind me to see the line for the food stall *_* I wanted a drink but decided to wait until we got home because it was craaaazy!
I did my nails specially for the day! James is in a psychobilly band called Sin Vida and their trademark is purple tiger stripes so this was for him ^_^ I even covered his double base with matching tiger stripe fur, it looks so cool! You can’t really see it here but the nails have silver lace on the tips and silver diamante bows.
I wanted more photos of James but he’s always so awkward when I try to take photos! He really wants a motor bike but I’m too scared he’ll fall off and die!
This is what you get when he won’t let me take real photos… Beard photos. Yay.
I also had to put up with this face everytime we turned a corner and he saw a new car! Imagine the sound effect of “AAAAWW YEAH! Look at that engine! Man that Slant 6 is so hot!” -_-‘
Ok so I got one nice of us at least! AAAAAND… you can see my hair! What do you think? Yay or nay? I think the last blonde got voted down in my poll so what do you think of this one?
At the end of the day I realised my parasol had gotten broken some time during the day and I was very sad. We went to get pearl tea and Yogen Fruz (I’m going to review it next week) to cool down which put an awesome end to the day though. I only had this sulky face for a few minutes…
Lastly here I am doing a bad job of blending in. I had such a great day, I can’t wait until next year but I hope they change venues so there’s enough room for everyone this time!
What did you guys do this week? Did any of you get to Greazefest?
