After almost a year since the last one of these painting videos I find myself getting back into painting… again.. again?
I tend to only paint when I am relaxed and have lots of time so it doesn’t happen too often. I like to find the perfect tv show or video game that can occupy my mind while I paint. We’ve just finished playing Assassin’s Creed Revelations and to be honest it kind of sucked and I didn’t find it as inspiring as the previous two. So we started playing #2 again last night and I’m already in the mood to get out the water colours!
I think I’ll continue my series of portraits of inspiring people online as well as some other cute things… or realistically I’ll just keep doing portraits of Lottie XD I have a one track mind!
I was considering putting together a few basic tutorials on very beginners techniques for water colours so if you have any questions leave them in the comments!

After almost a year since the last one of these painting videos I find myself getting back into painting… again.. again? I tend to only paint when I am relaxed and have lots of time so it doesn’t happen to often these days. I am definitely very out of practice with my painting but I would love to continue this series so I can improve more. I’m feeling a bit inspired though so who knows, maybe I’ll be able to do some more!

How To Paint A Pomeranian Puppy.
Today I am sketching my puppy Lottie.
She has been featuring a lot in my Bergamot comics lately.
This is just a quick sketch so I started with pencils.
Then outlined it in pen.
When I started filling it in with a cream wash, the real puppy started getting interested!
I added some shading and a little red for the blush.
I then added in some background in purple.
And a couple of other details.
She’s pretty goofy in real life too!
Then it was time for the ultimate test of skill.
Does the real thing like it?
That’s a pretty resounding no.
Thanks anyway Lottie! I’ll do better next time and bribe you to life it with treats!
Artistic fail!
Thanks for watching!

I’ve been doing some drawings in a new sketching app. Lots of silly Bergamot comics. Make sure you subscribe to Bergamot’s website for lots more like this!
This is totally my life:
I made up some quick Bergamot phone wallpapers too as they were requested a while ago. There’s one for each character. Click the image then click it again to save the full size. These will fit an iphone5 and in theory they should fit most phones as you can crop from the top/bottom as needed.
I’m loving adding Lottie to Bergamot’s cartoons. They have a bit of a love/hate relationship at the moment because Lottie’s the new little sister getting all the attention ^_^
Hope you enjoyed and as always let me know if you have any requests! |

Evening 😀
I wanted to give an update on the Bergamot progress because it’s been so long!
Firstly at the moment having stuffed toys like my original Bergamot looks like it’s going to take a while longer because I need to save up the capital to actually order them. The factories have quite large minimum orders so it’s going to take me a while to save up. Sewing them myself just isn’t an option because the amount of work that goes in means a huge amounts of time. That said I do have some which are already completed and I am going to be using them as prizes in competitions coming up so please look forward to that!
Now in the mean time I have found some other options!
A lot of you mentioned in the original survey that you loved the design but didn’t have a use for a stuffed animal so I’ve been looking into some more practical ideas 😀
First off, soon there will be Bergamot nail decals through one of my partners!
Secondly at the moment I’m sifting through order forms to get cell phone charms, necklaces and key charms made up. I should be receiving the samples of those very soon so I’ll finally have something concrete to show YAY!
I also promised that I would illustrate the original story that the lovely Moonlight Seedling wrote. I’ve had a lot of fun breaking out my watercolors again for this so I’ve decided that it’s going to be a series 😀
Of course I’m getting a head of myself there again already haha! So this post isn’t completely a text wall, please enjoy looking over some photos of the first coloured drafts. Obviously these are just super quick photos of them but you can get an idea of the style ^_^
And once again THANK YOU to everyone that reads and supports me through this site, you are all amazing and I am so lucky to be able to do things like this!
