Changing Seasons- My Week In Snapshots

I’ve been completely addicted to white chocolate mocha frappuccinos lately. Especially with extra caramel sauce on top. I don’t usually like milky things but they are sooo good!

It’s been a lovely change of seasons.

The dead leaves are completely cleared away and there are tiny little buds coming through. It’s getting dark later in the evening which is my favourite part!

Seeing daisies everywhere makes me fee so energetic and inspired!

We hung out at Birrarung Marr Park to shoot some videos, it was fun seeing so many other people out with cameras! James wanted to do some lovely nature style shots …

But it’s really hard to stay serious when you are in the middle of a curtain of leaves and bugs XD

The ring I’m wearing below is one of my favourites, it’s from Cel’s Deco Store!

At home I’ve been organising my craft supplies which seems like a never-ending task. Every time I think I’m close, more junk just pops up.

I found these scarf hangers to organise my silk scarves at least! Storing silk scarves is something that’s bugged me for a long time because it’s hard to keep them all visible enough to use without making things really messy. I’m going to cover these in white ribbon so they are a little nicer.

Next to organise: jewellery!

And I will… as soon as nature stops being so distracting!

How To Do A Classic Twisted Hairstyle – Photo Tutorial

Today’s hair tutorial is something a little more classically styled than usual!

Begin by separating your hair into two.

Add a cute alice band and make sure there is hair hanging in front of it/your ears.
Take the hair in front of the band and pull it out, twist it in a circle to form a loop against the side of the head.
Pin the loop to the scalp with a bobby pin. I’m using dark ones so you can see them but you should use pins which are the same shade as your hair. You want the loop to sit quite far out from the head to get the cool twisty effect.
Grab another section of hair behind the first and include the tail of the first loop.
Twist it into a loop lower down and further back than the first and pin in place. You can see the full loop pattern below.
Repeat the two loops on the other side of your head too.
You should have something like this! Now to create the final loop, put all of the loose hair into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck.
Use your fingers to poke a hole through the middle of the hair.
Pull the tail of the ponytail through the loop so it makes a nice twist. You can keep this tight or pull the band down further to loosen it up more.
I think this style looks really romantic with some long wispy strands curled down at the front too.
Such a romantic style, I feel like I should be on the cover of a novel when I wear my hair like this.
… less so when I’m holding my phone >_>
I hope you like the style, I’ve been feeling a lot more classic lately so let me know if there are any other styles like this you’d like to see tutorials for!

All Time Beauty Favourites- Eyeshadow

Ok time for something fun, I get asked a lot which make up I’m wearing and honestly most of the time it’s pretty much the same thing. I don’t change stuff up very often once I find something that really works for me. So I’ve decided to do an “All Time Beauty Favourites” series and today’s post is on eyeshadows!

I used to have an extreme collection of eyeshadow. It was kind of obsessive. That was until I was given a matte 88 palette from Coastal Scents.

Ultimate win!

After using this for around a year I cleaned out pretty much everything from my drawer and just continued using this. I was lucky enough to be given another version which is the same but sparkly and I was set.

I don’t think I’ll ever need any more colours than this!

I use the colours for blush, lip stains and pretty much anything as well.

Perfect neutral…ish palette for me. I keep this in my handbag in case I ever have an emergency! I don’t know what kind of emergency that would be but you know… it could happen.

Argh I love this brand so much. The pigment is like a light purple but with a blue shimmer and it’s beautiful on.

So there you go! 88 Palettes for the win! Hope you found that helpful and see you next time I do an All Time Favourite post!
