Manicare Glam Eyes Jessica False Lashes Review

Today’s review is of Manicare Glam Eyes False Lashes 😀 The type I’m reviewing is called “Jessica”.

Manicare Glam Eyes Jessica Lashes Review

Until recently lashes haven’t been very popular in Australia (or at least in Queensland) and so nice and reasonably priced lashes have been quite hard to find.

While it’s getting easier to find lashes they are still quite expensive. These ones retail for around AU$9.95 which in my opinion (as someone who wears lashes almost every day) is quite over priced.

Manicare Glam Eyes Jessica Lashes ReviewI’ve decided to caption this photo “SURPRISE LASHES!”

The quality is very good, they are very fine lashes and the band is thin and natural. They are flexible and seem to be reasonably sturdy for their thickness. I’ve worn my pair 6 times with no noticeable degradation and no lost lashes.

They come pre-glued which I hate, I washed the glue off and threw away the tube it came with in favor of my everyday brand. Their colour is a nice matt black and they are definitely not shiny like the some of the cheaper brands. The lash band is very thin and blended well with my eyes even when I was not wearing other make up.

When worn they look quite natural because of the fine lashes. They are nice and long and create a statement without being ridiculously dramatic. While a lot of people would probably use them as a smokey night time lash where as I prefer them for a day time dolly look without the effort.

Verdict- Quite pricey but a very good quality lash. Good if you are a casual lash wearer, not cost effective for every day use. DO WANT (but for a better price).

Also today is my birthday so I might be really energetic at blogging and post a photo or two later for you all ^_^

Have you guys tried the Manicare Glam Eyes range or do you have other favorite false lashes?

A little note..

I was planning another big tutorial yesterday but a lot of things happened which made me very upset and frankly not in a mood to blog at all.

It has come to my attention over the last few days several unscrupulous people have been stealing my work from this site. A couple of you wonderful readers have emailed me and left comments about others online taking parts of my blog, be it photos, writing or whatever else and claiming it as their own and I’ve had about enough of it.

Unless otherwise stated, everything on this site is done by me and is copyrighted to me.It makes me so sad because I put hours and hours and hours a week into writing, making and thinking up content for this site. The tutorials not only take hours to make and photograph but there is then the editing, uploading, inserting, writing, editing and replying to everyone. It makes me really upset when some people think it’s ok to just take something that I’ve spent so much time working on 🙁

This is not just an isolated incident either, I have found my content in several different locations that have not been authorized.

I absolutely want you all to feel comfortable doing my tutorials and to get inspiration from my site but there is a difference between inspiration and taking something I’ve created and claiming it as your own. For example, taking my photos, cropping my watermark out, adding your watermark and saying you did it IS NOT OK! Pretending you created something that I did IS NOT OK. Writing almost the exact same tutorial that I’ve specifically created and posting almost photo for photo copies and claiming you came up with the idea IS NOT OK.

I am more than happy for people to use my images in posts which are related to my work but ONLY IF YOU ASK PERMISSION FIRST. It is just common courtesy and not at all hard to do. I have a contact page and an email account which I can be easily reached at. And it’s not just images that have been finding their way around the net under the guise of other people’s work. So let me say again IT’S NOT OK TO TAKE MY WORK AND PASS IT OFF AS YOUR OWN.

This blog is supposed to be about creativity and inspiration, please be inspired to create something beautiful of your own rather than stealing it.

If you see something that I’ve created somewhere other than this blog PLEASE let me know 🙁

Have any of you other lovely bloggers had this happen before? What did you do about it?

How To Make Red Glitter Sneakers – Sneaker Sunday Week 6

While you’re all reading about Sneaker Sunday I’ll be on day 2 of our epic car trip yay!

After last week’s post I was looking at those sneakers again. I love them but I’ve always thought that something was a bit missing from them.

Sneaker Sunday

Sneaker Sunday Week 5

I thought about it for a while and I realised… everything needs more glitter 😀

What you need for this sneaker sunday tutorial:

  • Shoes
  • Glitter
  • Pva craft glue/tacky glue. Make sure the glue dries clear before starting it!
  • Tray to catch run away glitter

Sneaker Sunday

Remove the laces from your shoes.

Sneaker Sunday

Pour all of your glitter into a container to hold it.

Sneaker Sunday

Pour some of the glue onto your tray.

Sneaker Sunday

Add some glitter…

Sneaker Sunday

Mix it all together using your paint brush. You want a mix that is more glue than glitter. It shouldn’t be too chunky.

Sneaker Sunday

Start painting anywhere you want glitter!

Sneaker Sunday

I do sections around this size at a time so the glue doesn’t dry too quickly.

Sneaker Sunday

It also helps to pull out the tongue (which I’m leaving blank for this design) to make it easier to reach the other parts.

Sneaker Sunday

Repeat on the other shoe…

Sneaker Sunday

Wait for it to dry and you get this!

Sneaker Sunday

Do a second coat of glitter 😀 Depending on the colour of the glitter and your shoes you may need to do several coats.

Sneaker Sunday

Wait for it to dry completely and then paint on a top coat of plain glue. This will ensure the glitter doesn’t go anywhere and means you will be able to wipe them clean without damaging the glitter.

Sneaker Sunday

Make sure it dries completely before you do anything with them!

Sneaker Sunday

Here is a close up of them dry. It really doesn’t capture just how glittery they are in person! Also you might not want to glitter the holes the laces go through but I was in a super hurry doing this!

Sneaker Sunday

I replaced the laces with black ribbon too.

Sneaker Sunday

And done! Super shiny, you really can’t tell in the photos but they are absolutely blinding in the sun!

Sneaker Sunday

The first few times you wear them they might be a bit sticky. After you have worn them in the glue will lose it’s sticky on the outside. If you want to speed this up just get them a bit dirty XD To keep them clean just wipe with a wet cloth.

Sneaker Sunday

Even better if you have a matching ladybug friend…

Sneaker Sunday

So cute!

Sneaker Sunday

Lady bugs= sneaker coordination at it’s best 😀
