How To Do A Plaited Headband Hair Tutorial- Styling Celeste

This is a series of videos in collaboration with Celeste from Becoming Beautiful where we try different styles on her. This particular one is a quick way to make a plaited headband. Because she has dark hair we used a pink extension so you can see the details.

How To Do A Plaited Headband Hair Tutorial
Welcome to another episode of Styling Celeste where I try out random hairstyles on my unwitting victim. lovely friend Celeste.
Today’s style is a plaited headband.
Grab a section from the top and sides and clip it back.
Pick up a 1 inch section at the side just behind the ear.
Plait it!
Celeste has black hair so to make it more interesting we added a pink clip in hair extension.
Cute.
Let down the rest of the hair in front of the plait to hide the start.
Flip it over the top to the other side and pin.
Arrange your hair and continue on your day looking adorable.
Taadaa.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.
Bye!

Fried Rice Recipe – Food Friday!

I’m totally going to make an adorable graphic of me in my chef’s outfit for these posts as soon as I dye my hair again 😀 Until now you guys have to put up with…. a text stick figure with kind of a chef hat… just pretend it’s me ok?

….M /O\ —-/\—-? .. /     \ . ——- .. ||

Ok it looks more like a crown than a chef’s hat… also the question mark is totally a wooden spoon… just use your imagination ok?

Fried rice is my favorite comfort food and seeing as the weather has been so chilly lately I like nothing more than curling up on the couch with an episode of Buffy, a bowl of fried rice, a cup of tea and some knitting.

So as a completely random post, here’s my current favorite recipe!

What you need:

  • Onion (diced)
  • A couple of cups of old rice (I usually use 1 day old rice because I’m impatient)
  • Ham (diced)
  • Egg
  • Anything else in your cupbord, my favorite add ins are peas and leeks!
  • Oil
  • Soy sauce

Cut up all of the ingredients and  fry the onions in a little oil.

Once they have cooked 80% add in the ham and any other bits you want like peas. If you want to add in leeks (which is damn delicious) you should do it along with the onion because they take around the same time to cook.Fried Rice Recipe

Mix them all together and allow to cook for a minute.

Now make some room on the middle of the pan and crack in an egg. Stir it around with the spatula and scramble it. Keep stirring until it comes apart into little pieces.

Add in some more oil and then the rice. Stir it all until it’s hot and add a little soy sauce.

Serve and enjoy with a good movie 😀 And next time I will get James to take the photos for me so you can see how awkward I am in the kitchen! What are your favorite comfort foods? I need more midnight snack ideas!

Rainbow Decoden Thread Cutter

Another deco project where the pictures speak for themselves! I knit and crochet a fair bit and even though we must have at least 10+ pairs of scissors in our house I can never find them at the right moment so I usually resort to trying to break the yarn to avoid having to get up XD Bad Violet! Last week my Mum saw me doing this and came home with a thread cutter hahaha!

Of course I had the same problem with not being able to find it when I needed it. So I decided to deco it in the most obnoxiously bright way I could think of: rainbow and cake. The end result doesn’t remotely go together well but I couldn’t care less as long as I can find the damn thing! the cake was added as it’s a piece I’ll probably never use and here it provides function as a grippy thing.

See deco can be functional sometimes too!

So onwards to the pictures…

Problem solved 😀 How do you avoid losing important stuff? Or are you like me and can’t find anything unless it’s tied to you in some way? XD
