First off my second V-Log ^_^ In this one James, my Mum and I visited the Camberwell markets in search of bargains! *Some* of us found them while others found… axes. This one features James a lot so I hope you enjoy the video and see below for what we picked up and to vote on the winner!
We ended up heading home before we actually finished spending our money due to sore feet but still had an awesome day! I can’t think of what a suitable prize/punishment for the winner/loser should be… leave your ideas in the comments mwahahaha!
James’ purchase total: $5- A toy piano
My purchase total: $15 – 2 scarves, a bag, an embroidered purse, 4 stickers
Mum’s purchase total: $20 – strands of Czech beads (she didn’t want to be on camera)
So you can cast your vote in the form below and come up with a suitable prize/punishment in the comments mwahahaha! Such a fun and silly day ^_^ Definitely visit the markets if you get a chance, they are a lot of fun!
Ok on to the other videos from this week! First up another Styling Celeste video, this time we did one of my favorite styles, the plaited updo. I’ve done this one a couple of times including a photo tutorial previously as well but we wanted to see how it would look on her dark hair. Too cute!
Last video of the day is a bobbly updo. I did this look to go with the pink/gold make up from last time. I wasn’t planning on making this one into a tutorial, I actually filmed it to test out my lighting set up XD but there were a couple of comments on the corresponding outfit post so I figured might as well ^_^
Hope you enjoyed them all and found something useful!
I’ve got to go get ready now, we’re going to a movie preview tonight which looks like it’s going to be fun! Hope you all had a great weekend <3
Just a couple of quick social networking related updates ^_^
Facebook Page
So I finally bit the bullet and set up a Facebook page for those who want to follow that way. It has a feed from both this blog and my Cuties mobile blog and there will be regular updates there as well as random other stuff. So there’s a widget on the left if you want to like it without leaving this post or you can click here to be taken to the page. I’m still setting it all up so if you have suggestions of stuff you’d like to see there let me know! I’ve never been on Facebook too much so I haven’t researched what I can put there yet! You’re all still welcome to friend me on my personal account too of course ^_^
Pinterest
One of the things mentioned in my survey ages ago was requesting better sharing buttons at the bottom of posts, specifically Pinterest. Done! I have mixed results in getting it to work with the images on particular posts but you can always use the Pinterest browser plugins if you can’t get it going and want to share anything.
I’ve also set myself up a Pinterest account so if you have one of those send me the link so I can follow you, mine is over here!
Google+
Another button added to the bottom of posts, I tried to get excited about Google+ but I kept forgetting to update another social media profile >_< Anyway it’s there if you want to use it!
Translations
Another thing on the list of improvements from the survey is translation options. I’ve been scouring the net looking for a solution but I haven’t found anything yet that doesn’t either take forever to load or spit out crappy translations. I really want to install something along these lines so in the mean time I’ll be adding something like Google Translate this week. If anyone knows any good plugins please let me know so I can check them out!
Pages
I’m half way through updating all of the pages in the top navigation, I’ll be updating the galleries next though I’m debating if it’s worth it because I don’t think people generally use them XD I might look at some other options and see if I can streamline it all at least for the inspiration galleries. More thought needed!
Cuties
I’ve updated the theme/layout to something more my current taste. Take a look! I’m still tinkering with the sidebar but it’s getting there.
Sidebar Updates
This week I will also be updating the graphics in the sidebars, if there’s anything particular you would suggest just let me know ^_^
That’s all for now, I’m getting more on top of things now which is a good feeling! Hope you’re all having a great weekend!

Bobbly Updo Hairstyle Instructions
Hello and welcome to another hair tutorial!
This look is a different take on a standard updo.
I do this style mostly when I haven’t washed my hair in a while and want to hide oily roots.
So the first step is to use a dry shampoo.
Pull the hair up into a high ponytail.
I like this style because once it’s in place and pinned it takes a lot to ruin, great for windy days.
On the final pull through the elastic, don’t pull the ends completely through.
It should look something like this with ends at the front.
Push the ends to the side for now.
Take a section of the loop and pull it to the side.
Pinch it in half so it forms two loops and then pin back to your head.
Keep going taking section by section, pinch them in half and pin down.
Pin some to the front and some to the back so they eventually hide the hairband.
It should start to look like a bunch of random bobby loops, hence the name of the tutorial.
Keep going until you run out of hair.
Now let’s deal with the front bits.
Grab your straightener and use it to curl them slightly.
If you don’t like the way they sit you can pin them up higher.
This probably works better if you have shorter hair than me.
If you’re like me, you’ll probably get distracted talking to your friend while you do it.
Pin, curl and straighten until you’re happy.
Finally add a pretty hair clip to finish it off.
I’m using a headband but worn horizontally so it looks into the updo.
Hairspray and you’re good.
Done and ready for a yummy dinner with friends.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.
Bye!
