How To Paint Checkered Nail Art Instruction
Checkerboard nails are on of my favorite designs.
they are quick, easy and very effective!
Paint a bright base coat and allow to dry.
It’s easiest to paint this with a long flexible nail brush.
Paint two evenly spaced stripes of black along the nail.
And make them into squares by painting stripes the other way.
I had room for 3 on my nails.
To create straight lines hold the brush still then move your nail under it.
This technique works especially well when using your non-dominant hand.
It helps to load the brush all the way up so the coat is even.
Make sure to lean both hands on something steady like a table.
Now begin filling in every second square with black.
Fill in the diagonal squares in the center row.
Don’t worry if the finish isn’t even, when we top coat later it will be nice and shiny.
And that’s about it really.
So again, stripe the nail to create squares to colour in.
And colour them in.
Looking good!
Now you need to give it all a top coat to make the surface even.
Much better!
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.
