Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream

Price: Around $11 at Priceline but I got it on sale for $7

Obtained: Bought

Thoughts:

When this came out everyone went on and on about it because it was the first bb cream in Australia. I bought the light shade because compared to importing bb creams it was majorly cheap. At The Face Shop the creams are around $30-50, this was on sale for $7. Big difference.

And it’s not bad, it’s not great but it’s not bad either. The coverage is medium on me, it covered my freckles partially and gave a fairly natural finish. It’s got a definite orange tone (I guess suited to Australian girls more?) so it made me look a bit more tan than I was used to. The colour was fairly suitable for me, I could notice a difference but James couldn’t and thought it looked natural. It’s quite a thick formula considering the coverage, most bb cream I’ve tried have been fairly thin but this was a very thick texture so it required less product but a more even hand to apply.

Would I buy Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream again: Yes but not for me, the price is fantastic, the product is pretty good but I don’t like the orange toned finish so I wouldn’t wear it. I would definitely buy for others with suited undertones though.

Easy Phone Case Gift – Quick Craft

Another random present that I made over Christmas which might give you ideas on something you could make!

James’ Dad is one of the most practical men that I know, he only ever wants practical things for presents. There’s a family story that he once bought James’ Mum a fire extinguisher for Christmas… she was not particularly impressed XD

So this year he asked for a phone case… but we couldn’t just get him a regular one so I set about making him one with his business logo on it.

Take 1 plain iphone case!

Draw roughly what you want the design to look like on the piece of clear plastic that you cut from the case’s packaging. This is important so you get the spacing right.

Draw the design on the case with a Sharpie or other permanent marker.

DONE! Give to  recipient and enjoy reaction 😀 Practical and personal all in one!

Serious white balance difference between the above and below photos, in real life it’s similar to the below.

Thoughts:

I’m always on the hunt for foundations which are light enough for my skin and that also cover my freckles. This ticks both boxes and therefore makes me a happy girl. It’s apparently full of fruit and good things for your skin but I could take or leave all of that because all I really want to know is does it work and does it look good? The answer is a resounding yes.

It’s a fairly watery consistency which I like because it goes on smoothly. Application is best with a brush (for fuller coverage) or a sponge for lighter. I like that it covers my freckles almost entirely but looks natural and very un-deathmask-y. There are a wide variety of colours and it lasts all day for me whether I use a finishing powder or not.

The bottle isn’t particularly big but I can definitely forgive that on the fact that I don’t use much per day and it’s on sale so often at Priceline that it’s a good deal.

Would I buy Bourjois Heathy Mix Foundation again: Yes, it works well for me and matches my skin tone at a price I like.
