A new segment I’m trying out where in I show my morning make up routine for various days and chat about what I’m doing that day. Not really a tutorial, more of a random girly chat while we get ready together in the bathroom 😉
Today’s style is a nice bright look which starts with a wash of beige and a touch of pink. Hope you enjoy 😀

Time for another random morning make up video in which I do my make up and we chat.
Today we’re doing a bright white look.
Foundation first as usual.
A generous coat of mascara next.
Today I’m testing my new lighting set up.
White shimmer pencil on the inner corner and waterline.
It’s much brighter than the old one but I haven’t quite gotten the camera settings right yet.
A beige shadow with gold flecks all over the lid as a base.
I’ve been collecting things for the perfect set up over the last year but it’s slow going.
Light pink shadow on the outer half on the lid.
It would be very cool to have a whole room dedicated to filming and blogging.
Shimmer white highlighter under the brows.
I’ll add that to my house hunting list.
To give it some depth I added some plum to the outer corners in a pointed C shape.
At the moment I have a little dressing table and I do my blogging from a table at the couch.
And blend it all together.
It’s pretty comfy but it would be great to have room for a big desk.
Eyeliner time.
This time I used a liner with a purple shine to it, very pretty.
Or a big table for sewing.
Me sewing table is next to the tv and it doubles as a photography space.
Some nice big false lashes top off the look.
I’m very lucky to have decent floor space to lay out sewing projects for cutting.
Light pink blush suits this look perfectly as does a nice pink lipgloss.
I’ll add my requests to my completely unrealistic “when I’m a millionaire” list.
Of course another coat of mascara couldn’t hurt.
Give it time and hard work and I’ll get there!
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.
Bye!
I’m sure you all made these in school out of paper but this is the more permanent version which can be an adorable hair accessory or brooch depending on the size you make them.
You need:
Felt
Needle and thread
Scissors
Something pretty to put in the middle such as a button etc.
You need to cut out 2 felt squares, I cut mine by folding a piece of felt like this and cutting around it.
After cutting fold two of the points together and then again. Press the folds down so they leave a slight indent and unfold. This is the easiest way to mark out where you need to cut.
Snip down the folds but not all the way to the center. You should have something like this:
Repeat with the other sheet of felt.
Now you have the pieces you just need to fold it together! Place the pieces of felt on top of each other and fold one of the points to the center like this.
Fold every second point into the middle. You can move the different coloured felts so more of one or the other is displayed.
Stitch them in the middle.
And then cover the stitching with something pretty like this button I made in another post. You could use a ribbon bow or a flower too.
Stitch the whole thing to a bobby pin or a hair clip and that’s all there is to it. Yay for repurposed children’s crafts 😀
In February I visited Sydney for a blogger photoshoot with Toni and Guy. The finished results are going to be out including a video in mid May so I’ll show you all the results then but for now I’ve been allowed to post some of my snapshots from the trip 😀
There is a teaser video too, I’m at 24 seconds in!
Here I am with the awesome hair and make up team from the shoot! I’ll introduce everyone in more detail in the proper post on it but for now here are some snaps!
I had around 4 hours sleep the night before because of a hotel mix up so I was pretty sleepy, they treated me like a princess though, people kept bring me tea XDMy awesome hairdresser Jude, she was so much fun!
The photographer Taek Yang who made the entire day so much fun, I was a bit nervous but he was so funny an relaxed that I wanted it to go on for ages!
I have a lot more photos to post from behind the scenes once the final images are released so look forward to that!
We spent the rest of the day in Sydney wandering around the city looking at shops. Both of us were pretty tired though so we ended up going to the airport and catching an earlier flight. I missed out on meeting up with The Fashionate Traveller too ;_; Next time!!!
I snacked on some left over treats from the shoot all day haha.
I’m so glad someone finally made a parody of those stick figure family car stickers XD
We went to Kinokuniya to browse and I spotted this Lego Bible:
And this, how adorable?! Bunny out of the hat icecream molds!
CUTE DOG MAGAZINES!
Another pretty bulding on the way home, Sydney’s architecture is so different to Melbourne.
James and I played Harbour Master in the airport while the flight was delayed for a few hours.
Back at home I won a Totoro at claw machine!
I totally want a big iron gate in my home like this.
So beautiful and detailed.
We went to dinner with my Mum at another Korean restaurant (it’s all I’ve been craving lately!).
James pretty much always orders some kind of ribs no matter here we go XD
And I always get bibimbap, I should try something new, any recommendations??
Omg Gami chicken too! We went to Gami Chicken with Kim, it’s a Korean fried chicken place ommmg so good! I’m hungry already again haha!
Kimchi pancake is so good!
Lastly the view in Chinatown at night before the lights get switched on.
