Quick Simple Quiff Hair Style Instructions
Today’s style is an easy pouf or quiff for your fringe.
This is a quick way to get your fringe out of your face.
Separate your fringe and pull it up.
This is the rough shape that we will make.
Hole it vertically and straighten upwards to give it some life.
Back comb the back side of it slightly to provide texture.
You can see the rough shape it will make from the side.
Fold it backwards and pin in place.
Smooth it into the right shape with your hands.
You can change the shape with your fingers or by twisting the end of the pouf.
Hairspray in place.
Straighten or style the rest of your hair.

Melbourne Snapshots- Moomba!

Snapity snaps 😀

Earlier in the year James and I visited the Moomba Festival! We thought it was an acronym for Melbourne something something something but turns out the name has a pretty interesting story behind it as an Aboriginal word and apparently a double meaning too. Wikipedia has the full story.

It was very sunny and hot that day.

There was quite a crowd of young families but the way it was hyped up on TV I was expecting it to be a big bigger.VioletLeBeauxP1050242_15744Up the top in this photo you can see the world’s smallest kite… apparently XD It was around 3cm plus the tail and very hard to get a photo of!

There were rides and mini stalls, I liked these planes painted to look like the red baron.

There was a group of drummers who were really fun to watch, the kids were really good.

The super hero was spnsored by the Melbourne zoo… I’m not sure how big muscles help in fighting extinction but I’m sure it does in some way.

Absolute highlight was the BMX competition, the host was so funny!

He spent the whole time paying out the skaters and telling us that the louder we cheered, the more likely someone would stack it XD

We left because of the heat before anything really interesting happened but the under 15’s were pretty good.

Bergamot Bunny Update- Recent Artwork

Evening 😀

I wanted to give an update on the Bergamot progress because it’s been so long!

Firstly at the moment having stuffed toys like my original Bergamot looks like it’s going to take a while longer because I need to save up the capital to actually order them. The factories have quite large minimum orders so it’s going to take me a while to save up. Sewing them myself just isn’t an option because the amount of work that goes in means a huge amounts of time. That said I do have some which are already completed and I am going to be using them as prizes in competitions coming up so please look forward to that!

Now in the mean time I have found some other options!

A lot of you mentioned in the original survey that you loved the design but didn’t have a use for a stuffed animal so I’ve been looking into some more practical ideas 😀

First off, soon there will be Bergamot nail decals through one of my partners!

Secondly at the moment I’m sifting through order forms to get cell phone charms, necklaces and key charms made up. I should be receiving the samples of those very soon so I’ll finally have something concrete to show YAY!

I also promised that I would illustrate the original story that the lovely Moonlight Seedling wrote. I’ve had a lot of fun breaking out my watercolors again for this so I’ve decided that it’s going to be a series 😀

Of course I’m getting a head of myself there again already haha! So this post isn’t completely a text wall, please enjoy looking over some photos of the first coloured drafts. Obviously these are just super quick photos of them but you can get an idea of the style ^_^
