After what seems like a very long time I finally managed to try out Dolly Wink lashes. They were given to me by my lovely friend Glo-w who sent the cutest care package. Considering they retail here for $30+ I was really apprehensive!
So how do they stack up? They are very well made.
The band is thin and the lash placement is very good.
They are extremely comfortable for every day wear and quite durable, after around 4 uses I had a couple of lashes sticking in odd directions but they were easy enough to smooth back into place.
You can see from the photos they make quite an impact. These are some of my all time favorite every day lashes. The only problem I have is the price. If I was living in Japan or they were the same price here as they retail for there I would probably ditch every other pair I had and stick with only Dolly Wink. Unfortunately as they don’t sell them properly here the lashes are only available via importers at pretty crazy prices.
VERDICT: I love the lashes, I guess this post is really saying PLEASE Dolly Wink, come and sell here in Australia I can’t afford to buy you at imported prices ;_; … or take me back to Japan so I can buy there! XD
It feels like I’ve been doing a lot of outfit videos lately but they are so much fun! I feel like you can get a better sense of how an outfit really works in a video.
Today’s is a pink school-ish number. I wore it when James’ parents were visiting. We played pool and I cheated won fairly because of my awesome skill.
An easy hair tutorial too, this one is good for summer and even better if you like braids but can’t work out how to do them around the head! It’s a basic side ponytail but the back is all twisted!

A new segment I’m trying out where in I show my morning make up routine for various days and chat about what I’m doing that day. Not really a tutorial, more of a random girly chat while we get ready together in the bathroom 😉
Today’s style features my simple every day style. It’s no fuss and goes well when I want that extra 10 minutes sleep in 😀 .

Morning Make Up Instructions
Welcome to another edition of Morning Make Up where I do my make up and we chat.
Today’s look is simple for everyday.
I’m up early today because both James’ and my parents are visiting.
Foundation first as usual though.
A little highlighter under the brow and a wash of champagne shimmer over the whole lid.
I’m totally not a morning person!
Then a dot of white in the middle of the eye.
It takes me a good couple of hours to get my brain away even with tea.
A tiny bit of pale pink on the outer corner next to give some definition.
I tend to go to bed very late though so it kind of makes up for sleeping in… so I keep telling myself anyway!
I’m pretty sure that if I keep telling myself that enough it’s true right?
Blending it all together!
Today we’re taking James and my parents around Melbourne.
Mascara next!
James’ Dad is a huge Collingwood supporter so they are going to go catch a game too.
I don’t have a football team which is very un-Melbourne of me.
Some thin liquid liner with a wing.
While they’re out I think the rest of us will find somewhere nice to eat!
Today I was awake enough to put on some lashes but if I’m too sleepy I won’t bother.
I’m really bad at being a tour guide though, I never know where to take visitors.
We usually just take people to the same places over and over again.
It’s kind of boring, you know… so here’s our McDonalds…
A little blush to make me look more awake!
I think we’ll probably just end up at the claw machines.
Add some lippy and I’m all done!
We’ve lived here for 2 years and I still don’t know where anything is it’s kind of sad.
And we’re all done.
It’s pretty but it’s still quite subtle.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching!
Bye!
