I love Sylvanian Families.
Ok I know this is fairly childish but sometimes I like to play with toys. Oh come on you have to admit that being a kid was pretty fun!
These are some toys I got in Japan, the rabbit (named Ichigo) was from a series called “Sylvanian Families” that I had a lot of when I was a child. I thought they had stopped making them but apparently not! Everything else came our of a vending machine somewhere in Akihabara.
Here they are in their box:
And all set up:
I love the crazy detailing on everything, I mean even the sandwiches have the fillings painted on the side. Man I wish my picnics looked like this!
Mmmm giant strawberry cake.
So do you guys like anything silly and childish like this or am I just a bit silly? Personally I think that sometimes when the rest of life is stressful it’s nice to have something simple.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not playing with these guys every night in my mum’s basement but I do watch Judge Judy after work to unwind! What do you guys do to relax? Do you collect dolls, toys or Sylvanian Families?

This ACEO was a commission for another etsy user.
The brief was that her friend be in a cartoon version of Dirty Dancing. Client was happy, I’m happy, everyone’s happy 😀
Now for some awesome news! Some of you will know that I’m currently working on a comic with writer Raven Blakk called “The Salem Academy”. Well we’ve done an interview with Moya from Paperback Reader about it.
Come and read it here if you’re interested or check out the Salem Academy preview here. Btw if you’re on Comicspace, come and friend me! As always click the picture to be taken to the ACEO etsy sale page 🙂

Is it garden party time?
James’ parents have an awesome garden! I still haven’t gotten a chance to edit my birthday photos so I thought I’d put these ones up while you’re awaiting. Blue Crane Design has been really busy so I won’t be online as much this week, or at least not online doing fun things 🙁
Very Monroe right? Damn wind always comes at the exact wrong time! Typical James feels the need to take a photo of it. This is a nice casual outfit. I’ve been doing so many crazy Hime outfits lately but sometimes I’m just too tired or don’t have time so this is what I revert to.
I don’t know why I like this one. It’s exposed very badly and looks horribly grainy. Kind of 50’s though.
Cam-whoring 😀 How awesome would this garden be for having a tea party? I want to go to more tea parties! With tea and crumpets and cucumber sandwiches. Needs MOAR sandwiches!
Such a long driveway! Who wants to have to take the bin out on Monday night all the way down the bloody drive way! Stinky bin germs everywhere!
Sorry guys this is a pretty boring post today, I’ve got lots of ideas for new interesting posts I just need to have some time to sit down and do something about it!
Hope you enjoyed the garden party a bit at least 😉

This week’s shop post is a Pretty Paris review.
I’ll be doing a proper update tomorrow so I hope you guys enjoy this for now 😀
Products- Handmade jewelery using vintage or vintage inspired findings and cabochon roses.
Prices- Other than the Australian exchange rate sucking the prices are really reasonable for handmade jewelery. I bought this ring and this hair clipand it came to US11.99 plus shipping which I think is great for something handmade and absolutely beautiful.Service- I have to say that the service was fantastic! I had previously commented on a blog about the hair clip but accidentally purchased the wrong one. Heather picked up on my mistake and emailed me straight away to confirm which one I wanted. Fantastic personal service exactly as it should be.
Shipping- Everything was shipped via airmail and arrived around 2 weeks after I ordered which is standard when coming from America. My items were shipped in an adorable little box which was a lovely surprise and came with a cute flier. Everything was bubble wrapped very securely and the clip was attached to a cute little wish ticket.
Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely buy from Pretty Paris again. I’ve worn the ring several times and it has been very hard wearing so far which is great. The hair slide is perfect for days when I want to look cute but can’t be bothered getting completely dressed up.

More ACEO Alice style today.
The next Alice piece (believe me there are quite a few) is of the heart soldiers. Now here’s a question, have any of you read the Looking Glass Wars? One of my favorite books ever and one of the best re-imaginings of Alice in Wonderland. While I was finding that link I just found out that there is a second book!! OMG MUST BUY IT! I need to find somewhere in Aus to buy this!
This one has been sold but feel free to click the picture to be taken to the ACEO etsy sale page 🙂
