Basic Diagonal Nail Stripe Tutorial Video

This is a really basic nail art tutorial for nice even diagonal stripes 😀 Again no sound, hoping to fix that with the next batch of videos.

This is the basic technique that I used for these nails:

Striped Gradient Nails

So to get the full effect of those nails you would need to do the following:

  1. Pick out 10 individual colours that form a gradient and paint each nail as a base.
  2. Add the diagonal stripes to each finger
  3. Add a cluster of 3 point backed diamantes using clear polish as a glue. Press them into the nails quite hard so they are secure.
  4. Add a couple of heart shaped diamantes to either side of the clusters so they form line from one side of the nail to the other.
  5. Top coat the hell of it and done!

Once you master this technique it’s really versatile and can be used in any number of styles. I hope you guys found this useful 🙂

Easy Gradient Nail Art Tutorial Video

This post has been on the back burner for a while. Originally I filmed it and had no time to edit then when I finally went to edit I decided to re-film now that my natural nails are long enough. So hopefully it lives up to expectations! Also there’s no music on this video due to some technical problems, I might update it later 🙂

To be honest using an orange stick is my second choice for doing this. Normally I just use my finger but it was very difficult to see what I was doing with a finger blocking the camera XD If you would like to see another way to achieve a similar look check out Mini Nail Blog’s post in which she uses loose glitter.

Let me know if you have any questions 🙂

Dolly Eye Make Up Tutorial – Violet Vision

This dolly eye make up tutorial took foreeeeever to upload!

Vimeo is down so the reason the quality is not great is Youtube’s stupid compression rubbish. The sound levels seem to have also been warped so beware, the theme song is super loud but for the rest you might need to turn it all the way up in Youtube and on your computer to hear what I’m saying *_*

I’m working on fixing things as fast as possible but until Vimeo is back online there’s not much I can do!

Aaaaanyway aside from all of the technical junk this video was made as a request on how to do the more involved make up style that I sometimes do. This style is possibly more of the traditional hime gyaru style than my every day make up. I prefer this look with a bolder outfit and definitely with dark circle lenses because my natural eye colour is too light for it to work.

The disclaimer is that I am not an expert in make up techniques, this is just the way I do it when I wear my make up in this style.

Products used:

  • Moisturser- Skin MD
  • Lenses- Candy Violet from e-circlelens.net
  • Foundation- Innoxa
  • Mascara- Bourjois
  • Lashes- some cheap brand
  • Lash glue- Lash Me Type 1
  • Black Shadow- Bourjois
  • White Shadow- Bourjois
  • Shimmer dust- The Face Shop
  • Lip Stain- Bourjois
  • Lip Gloss- Bourjois

If you want to know the product line or numbers used for the dolly eye make up tutorial just let me know 🙂
