How To Do A Big Random Ribbony Updo Hair Style
Welcome to another episode of Styling Celeste where I try out random hairstyles on my unwitting victim. lovely friend Celeste.
Today’s style is a random big ribbon and plaited updo.
We were winging it for this style and making it up as we went along.
Start by sectioning the front from each ear to the top.
Clip some ribbons and hair extensions at one ear.
Braid from one side of the head over to the other.
This takes a while.
Pull the rest of your hair into a high ponytail.
Add some more ribbons and extensions.
Tease the hell out of the ponytail and pin most of it up.
Leave a couple of strands hanging down.
Plait a couple of strands which are left down and pin them around randomly.
Loop any extra ribbon through the hair randomly.
Taadaa random ribbony updo.
Now see how we get rid of all that teasing.
Celeste’s hair has only ever been teased twice so it’s so super easy to undo,
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

Bobbly Updo Hairstyle Instructions
Hello and welcome to another hair tutorial!
This look is a different take on a standard updo.
I do this style mostly when I haven’t washed my hair in a while and want to hide oily roots.
So the first step is to use a dry shampoo.
Pull the hair up into a high ponytail.
I like this style because once it’s in place and pinned it takes a lot to ruin, great for windy days.
On the final pull through the elastic, don’t pull the ends completely through.
It should look something like this with ends at the front.
Push the ends to the side for now.
Take a section of the loop and pull it to the side.
Pinch it in half so it forms two loops and then pin back to your head.
Keep going taking section by section, pinch them in half and pin down.
Pin some to the front and some to the back so they eventually hide the hairband.
It should start to look like a bunch of random bobby loops, hence the name of the tutorial.
Keep going until you run out of hair.
Now let’s deal with the front bits.
Grab your straightener and use it to curl them slightly.
If you don’t like the way they sit you can pin them up higher.
This probably works better if you have shorter hair than me.
If you’re like me, you’ll probably get distracted talking to your friend while you do it.
Pin, curl and straighten until you’re happy.
Finally add a pretty hair clip to finish it off.
I’m using a headband but worn horizontally so it looks into the updo.
Hairspray and you’re good.
Done and ready for a yummy dinner with friends.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

How To Do A Plaited Headband Hair Tutorial
Welcome to another episode of Styling Celeste where I try out random hairstyles on my unwitting victim. lovely friend Celeste.
Today’s style is a plaited headband.
Grab a section from the top and sides and clip it back.
Pick up a 1 inch section at the side just behind the ear.
Plait it!
Celeste has black hair so to make it more interesting we added a pink clip in hair extension.
Cute.
Let down the rest of the hair in front of the plait to hide the start.
Flip it over the top to the other side and pin.
Arrange your hair and continue on your day looking adorable.
Taadaa.

Welcome to another episode of Styling Celeste where I try out random hairstyles on my unwitting victim. lovely friend Celeste.
Today’s we’re playing with Illamasqua Cream Pigment in her hair.
So a while ago I wrote a post on how you could use the Illamasqua Cream Pigment in your hair as temporary colour.
I got a bunch of comments asking whether it would work with dark hair.
Let’s find out.
All you need to do is section your hair and paint it on.
You can use a brush, fingers or whatever.
I’m using Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Dab which is a nice pastel purple.
Don’t forget to do the back side of the hair too.
Let it dry for around 10 minutes so it doesn’t come off on your fingers.
Give it a quick spray with dry shampoo to seal it in then style as normal.
We used the straightener a bit too soon because I was impatient and some of the pigment came off.
Wait longer!
Knowing this works on dark hair means there are so many more fun options to try.
Let me know how you guys go!

How To Do A Hime Gyaru Hairstyle Pouf Using a Rat Tutorial Video

After the excitement over my hair last week I was asked for a tutorial on it by some of my lovely newer readers. I’ve done tutorials on this style a couple of times which are listed below but I hadn’t done a video of myself doing it yet so I figure that would be the easiest way of answering any questions. When I did the style on Celeste a few months ago you guys asked how I could do it on myself, so… taadaa!

The main difference between this version and the one I did on Celeste is that we teased her hair completely. Because my hair is bleached I am more worried about damage these days so I choose to use a hair rat inside so I don’t have to tease my hair as much.

The other main question I get about this style is what can you use as a rat? I use a rolled up bandana covered in a crappy old hair extension but you could really use anything light which is in the shape you want. Foam, fabric, whatever. Just something to hold the shape.

This is the last time I’ll be doing something on this style but feel free to check out the other tutorials I’ve done on this style here:

So hopefully that helped and thanks so much for watching!  Over the next week I’ll be implementing a lot of the suggestions you guys made in the survey last week so keep an eye out for them 😀
