Hair Extensions

I found hair extensions that actually match my hair :D:D:D

That’s right! Now I can have massive Hime Gyaru curls too!

What do you guys think? Worth the $5 I spent on them?

Here is a washed out shot just do you can see the back:

I can’t believe I actually managed to find something this awesome for this cheap! I found them at a terrible discount store but after doing some research I’ve discovered that they are made from one of the higher quality synthetic hair. Not bad huh?

I just can’t believe that they actually match my hair. The reason I’m surprised is that my hair was black for a very long time but recently I dyed it red. So as a consequence it is sort of red fading into black at the tips.

So what do you think, better with long hair or short hair? I am a big hair extension fan and now I want to get them in a lot of different styles to match whatever I do with my hair next.

Tartan Hime Gyaru Inspirations

Today it’s time for Hime Gyaru inspiration.

God I love Jesus Diamante! I just can’t wait until I can get into that store for real and spend it up! Then again I think most of my money is going to be blown in AP or yummy food shops.

Mmm I can’t wait for those yummy pieces of meat on a stick and the deep fried dough balls.

I’m really into tartan at the moment, it’s nice to see Hime Gyaru without a pink overload! I think I’m going to make some little bows like this tonight. Man I need more cardigans to decorate!

What are your favorite inspirations from this week?

About Decoden…

A little about decoden

I freaking love deco! It’s one of my favorite pass times right now. Here are some of my creations and tips, at the bottom are some decoden designs that I love, want or want to make myself!

Decoden or Keitai (when referring to cell phones) is basically the art of sticking gems/random cute stuff to every smooth surface of any item you own.

Keitai means mobile/cell phone in Japanese and when used in this context refers to jewel encrusted phones but you really can deco anything with enough room to fit a gem. Some other common items to deco include cameras, Ds Lite, fingernails, or if you’re me then anything that holds still long enough! Look out James, sleep with one eye open!So what’s the point? Well it’s the same as any decoration really: it’s pretty.

Deco is popular among many demographics, from Lolita and Hime Gyaru who appreciate the details and over-the-top-ness to Japanese housewives who love something cute in their lives. It can be classy and slightly subtle or crazy detailed and yummy or plain old ridiculous! Here are a couple I’ve done! You can order supplies from Strapyaworld and this Deco Livejournal community is awesome for inspiration. if you live in Japan you can also go to Glam Baby to have the “experts” do it for you (all for a modest fee of course).

Here are a few tips if you decide to be creative and give it a go:
-If you want your gems to stick permanently then make sure to use epoxy glue. Only if you don’t ever plan on changing them though, that stuff is like nails! Epoxy glue is known by different names depending on which country you live in but it’s distinguishing feature is that it comes in a set of two tubes which you mix together with a stick and then apply to the surface. It comes in 2 varieties one which dries in 5 min and one which dries in 1 hour, either is acceptable for use but if you don’t have much practice it might be better to go for the 1 hour variety so you have time to correct any mistakes. -Make sure that you have all your jewels and everything set out and ready before you mix the glue! I can’t tell you how annoying it is having rapidly drying glue that you’ve put on only to be searching around the bottom of the box you keep everything in looking for the one last tiny pink jewel you need to complete a design.

– Plan out your designs before you start, again running out of jewels half way through sucks!

Here are some awesome things that inspire me!

Latest nail art style!

Here’s this month’s nail art style. It’s quite girly and blingy.

I love these nails, they’re my favorites so far! They have a pink base with black tips. The large jewels were put on first then the multi-coloured jewels and little balls to fill in the gaps. The last stage was the gold argyle pattern on the pink bits. Very sparkly and very attention grabbing!

I love this kind of nail art, super bling for the win!

The Ultimate Decadence- Oil Painting

I haven’t been painting as much as I’d like but this is an older one of mine. Yay for oil painting.

Oil on Canvas.

I just love Rococo fashions, they really were the height of crazy decadence. I love the idea of swanning around my mansion in a fluffy dress with 20 people just to dress me and another 20 to make my hot chocolate. What girl wouldn’t? Though I think it would make me very uncomfortable if all those people were just waiting around for me XD

I can understand why there is such an influence in Hime Gyaru and Lolita fashion though! I should do some more oil painting.

Decoden Pill Box

As part of James’ Christmas present to me he placed an order to Strapya World for decoden supplies.

It arrived the day before Christmas Eve and I was ecstatic! The biggest part of the order was the 2008 Pink Girly Lucky Pack and sweet bajebus was it full of awesome!

So after spending a while just enjoying opening and sorting all the tiny packets of decoden jewels (the best part I think!) I decided to put my new toys to use!

This originally was my boring old pill box, now it’s much prettier!

I showed it to James’ Mum and she thought that my pretty green Advil were part of the decoration. That’s right, even my medication is pretty, beat that! XD
