Summer Daisy Nails, Lottie and Ocean OOTD

Here’s an OOTD which was filmed back when it was cold, the ocean makes it look so nice and summery but it was SOOOOO cold! I really like this outfit though so it was worth the cold haha!

In something a little more actual-summerish here’s a very simple daisy manicure. I’ve been filming things I’ve been doing with my nails while growing them out, while they’re not complete step by step tutorials I figured seeing it done couldn’t hurt!

And Lottie, I’m glad I’m actually doing these regularly now. She looks so different since these were shot though, it’s crazy how fast she’s grown!

Hope you all had a good weekend! ^_^

Peach Eyes – Morning Make Up

A new segment I’m trying out where in I show my morning make up routine for various days and chat about what I’m doing that day. Not really a tutorial, more of a random girly chat while we get ready together in the bathroom 😉

Today’s style features some peach shadow that I wanted to try out. I love trying different styles and this one turned out quite prettily. Normally I steer away from orange tones but this is starting to change my mind! .

Peach make up instructions!

Welcome to another edition of Morning Make Up where I do my make up and we chat!
Today’s look is a colour I don’t usually wear: coral!
Start with foundation as usual.
I’m on a kick trying new things at the moment!
I didn’t really know where I was going with this one so I just started with some mascara.
Today’s new thing is coral coloured eyeshadow.
I was trying out this new pearly shimmy 88 Palette.
I did a light cream wash over the lip and a little under the brow as a highlighter.
I love these huge palettes so much.
There is just so much variety in the looks you can make with them.
They are fantastic to keep at home.
I applied the bright pop of coral on the outer corner.
I could honestly ditch the rest of my eyeshadows in favor of one big one like this.
I added a little darker coral to the outer half of the lash line.
I’m trying out different crafts at the moment too which has been fun.
Then I blended it all together.
I tried doing come interesting bleaching patterns on some old clothes which turned out awesomely!
I was quite surprised because I thought they were going to suck!
I lined thinly with black liner.
And after I’ve been crocheting this gigantic shag rug for out lounge because we can’t afford a real one!
I added a long wing as an after thought.
I wasn’t sure the rug would turn out well but I’m almost half way and I love it!
While I was deciding what to do next I added some pink lipstick.
Do you guys try new things often?
Or do you stick with the same things you know?
Then I added some 3/4 lashes.
I think trying new things is really the best part about life.
It didn’t look quite finished so I brought some of the coral down on to the lower lash line.
Next on my to try list are some new nail art designs.
And a little bit of the light colour on the inner corner.
Now that I’m growing out my natural nails, I should be able to do them more often!
And some blush…
A little lipgloss and that’s done!
Let me know if you have any ideas what I should try next.
See, trying new things is good, I actually ended up really liking this look.
I hope this was a useful video, check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching.

Daisy Nail Art Instructions!
Today I thought I’d do some fun Spring themed nail art.
I’ll be doing some daisies.
Paint a base coat alternating fingers in light green and yellow.
You may need a few coats but it should look something like this.
I’ll be drawing the daisies with a pen from The Face shop.
You can also use a regular thin brush.
Start by drawing a line then make several intersecting lines.
If you keep the lines thin, they will form cute little flowers.
Draw the little flowers all over the nails.
Keep it random.
Remember that the lines don’t need to be completely straight or even and you can do different sized flowers by starting with different sized lines.
Here’s a nice close up so you can see some of the details better.
So start with one line.
Then add a cross.
Then diagonals.
Then fill in all the little gaps between.
I like to make the petals a little bit wobbly too because it gives a cute effect.
Add a little bright yellow dot to the middle of each flower.
Now you just need to top coat it once it’s all dry and you’re good to go.
Pretty and very Spring-ish
Hope this was a useful video. Check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.

Using a Crimper For Volume and Lazy Day Make Up

It’s really starting to warm up here. The hotter it gets, the lazier I get XD

Inspired by that, here is my ultimate lazy day make up!

And in another lazy-ish style, here’s how I use a crimper to get some volume at the top of my head. It’s easy and it lasts really well. Good alternative to teasing for simple styles!

And as if that wasn’t enough, here’s the laziest vlog ever 😀 We went to Werribee Open Range Zoo so here are some super cute animals! You know how much I love Meerkats!

And here’s two Lottie videos because I love seeing her as a puppy like this!

Hope you all had a good weekend! ^_^

How To Use A Crimper For Extra Volume Hairstyle Tutorial

Crimpers maybe belong back in the 90’s but they can be used slightly more selectively to create lots of volume around the top of the head. .

Use A Crimper For Extra Volume Instructions!
Good morning.
Today’s video is on how to use a crimper to get some extra volume!
I got this crimper quite a while ago but never used it until recently.
Clip away the very top section of your hair.
Apply heat protector to the roots.
Take a very thin section from one side and crimp for around 10 seconds right at the roots.
Flip it out of the way and repeat the process with a section underneath it.
You can see the zigzag pattern that the crimper leaves.
And one more under that.
When you bring them all back they will be super puffy.
The more sections you crimp, the more volume you’ll get.
Repeat on the other side.
The zigzags give volume and because they are at the roots they are hidden by the hair on top of them.
You can vary the technique a bit depending on the finished hairstyle you want.
Just remember to leave enough un-crimped hair at the top to cover all of the crimped pieces.
Don’t forget the back too!
The are where you want to crimp will change depending on where your part is or which sections will be visible on the final look.
Shake out the hair and separate all of the crinkles with your fingers.
Hairspray if needed.
Super volume!
The volume also lasts for quite a long time because the crimps will last as long as your hair normally takes heat styling.
I hope this was a useful video.
Please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and a photo tutorial.

12 School Friendly Hairstyles and Rose Garden OOTD

The first video today is another request. I get many comments and emails asking for school appropriate hairstyles and looks. It’s a bit hard to answer because every school has different rules. When I was at school the thing I worried about the most was sleeping in slightly more XD With that in mind I made a video with 12 different styles which are quick, simple and don’t require much explanation. Really they’re basic styles just jazzed up a bit using hair accessories. Really, accessories are the key here to make these plain looks more interesting!

Next some cute Lottie goodness!

Next up is a rose themed outfit of the day video. I really enjoy making these 😀 We filmed this one in the state rose garden, so pretty there!

Now some more footage from the family visit! This pretty much wraps it up from the visit 😀

Hope you all had a good weekend! ^_^
