5 Ways to Wear a Jewellery Wrap.
Hello besties!
Recently we took a trip to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland to visit The Big Pineapple markets and see Jo from Earth Jewel Creations!
She makes all kinds of jewellery but her most popular piece is the wrap.
I figured today I would show you some different ways to wear a wrap and at the end there is a competition where you can win some of Earth Jewel Creations lovely pieces for yourself!
So stay tuned!
1. As a bracelet or an anklet.
Fold the wrap in the middle.
Wrap it as many times around your wrist as you can.
Don’t be too neat about it, it looks better when the strands criss cross against each other.
When you get to the end just do up the clasp.
2. As a belt.
This one is pretty easy, just wrap it around your waist.
The clasps are fully adjustable so you can slide them along and make it whatever size you need.
You can wear it loose like this or you can wrap it around twice or you could even just tie the ends in a knot to give the size you need.
Perfect swim suit accessory.
3. As a long necklace.
Just do up the clasp and place it around your neck. Done!
Easy!
Depending how long you’ve left the clasps you can leave long dangles of the leather and charms down the back.
4. As a double necklace.
Do up the clasp then wrap it around your neck twice.
I like to wear it so the beads sit like a choker and the rest dangles down.
Some of the charms are also detachable so you can move them around and change where the weight of the necklace is.
5. My favorite way as a choker.
Keep wrapping it around you neck until you run out of leather and then do up the clasp.
I wear it 3 times around and that’s the perfect fit.
You don’t want it to be too tight.
Taadaa!

Win Beautiful Bracelets From Earth Jewel Creations

This giveaway was sponsored by the Earth Jewel Creations.

For more information on sponsored posts check out this FAQ.

As you guys know, we recently took a trip to The Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. The Snapshot posts and vlogs are coming but I couldn’t wait to post about this! One of the highlights of the trip was visiting The Big Pineapple to see their new markets and meet Jo from Earth Jewel Creations. The Big Pineapple has really changed a lot since I was a kid but I’ll post more on the when I write up my Snapshots!

Earth Jewel Creations is one of the permanent stalls at the markets and having seen Jo’s handmade jewellery online before I was quite excited to try some on.

Jo was lovely enough to allow me to do a giveaway with some of her jewellery so you guys can enjoy it too, the details are at the bottom of the post!

Here I am with Jo trying on one of the jewellery wraps.

The store specialises in jewellery made from beautiful gems as well as hand stamped customised charms.

The pieces I was most interested to see on our visit were the suede jewellery wraps. They are adjustable so you can wear them a lot of different ways (one of my favorite things ever!) and they come in a lot of different colours and with different charms.

Earth-Jewel-Creations79

The big ball charms are detachable too so you can move them around.

Earth-Jewel-Creations81

Jo was nice enough to give me a White Magnesite/Pyrite wrap and I made a video on all of the different ways to wear it:

According to the paper that came with it, the White Magnesite represents harmony and acceptance while the Pyrite represents Self Esteem and Assertiveness. James laughed at how much that applied to things I need >_> Certainly couldn’t hurt and either way they sure are pretty! XDThere were a lot of different styles of jewellery available and the prices were really great considering the quality of materials. A lot of it was beautifully styled for the beach. Very relaxed!Earth-Jewel-Creations4004Big-Pineapple-QLD10978

I did manage to find the pink and purple section 😉

Rose quartz is so pretty.

Celina and I with Jo. Everyone at The Big Pineapple was lovely but it was such a treat to meet someone who was so extremely passionate about what they were doing. I really love meeting passionate people and she was just so lovely to talk to. You can really tell when people are doing something that they love 🙂

Big-Pineapple-QLD10955Big-Pineapple-QLD10953

Here she is, hard at work making a handstamped charm for James!

Earth-Jewel-Creations4015

And here is the finished charm on his bracelet. I loved that there were actually options for boys too and they weren’t too over the top and fussy like a lot of guys jewellery is these days. She can custom stamp pretty much anything while you’re at the markets!

Earth-Jewel-Creations70

She even made Lottie a special charm on a rose quartz base. These can be used for pets or as key charms!

Earth-Jewel-Creations62

Lottie has been enjoying the jingling sound it makes when she rolls around on the floor but I managed to get to to stay still for a photo by bribing her with jerky:

Earth-Jewel-Creations57

Make sure to have a look at Jo’s Facebook page too, there are some great photos and deals there!

Each of the items comes with information about the gems used and what they mean. If you’re into that there is more information on her website as well.

Big-Pineapple-QLD10950

I really enjoyed seeing the whole process of customising the charms so if you’re in the area I would definitely suggest visiting Jo at the Big Pineapple Markets or seeing where else she is exhibiting at the time.

Everything at the Earth Jewel Creations stall has a really positive and happy message which lately I think I could use some more of in my life.

Jo has put up some great special offers at the moment so check them out here!

Hello welcome to the third Friday video woo!
Yeah I’m probably going to stop counting now.
I can’t count higher than 3!
So today’s video is a special one because it’s a competition!
Yay competition!
Specifically a Bergamot themed competition!
I feel the applause!
Moving on.
So, Bergamot themed competition, firstly why?
Well I wanted to celebrate the fact that you guys are still watching my videos after all of this time.
I recently passed having 100 videos on this channel which is kind of a milestone too.
The biggest thing was something I’ve been working on for the last 6-8 months and that is Bergamot’s first book!
Back in November when I first came up with the concept for Bergamot Bunny I held a competition on my blog to help think of her name.
So te winner was a lovely girl called Bekah who came up with the name Bergamot which is an ingredient in Earl Grey Tea and she came up with a super cute story too.
It’s all about Bergamot living in an Earl Grey Tea factory and finding her way all the way to me in Australia.
So for the last several months (and I feel really guilty that it’s taken me this long to do it) I’ve been drawing and painting and watercolouring a book to put the story to life and give it illustrations.
There might be a hardcover version available in a few months but I’m still ironing out the details for that.
So in the mean time to say thank you to everyone who sent me messages and visited the store and been generally supportive on the blog and everything.
I’ve set up a free download for the book on my blog, link down below.
You can download a high res version or a low res depending on your internet speed and you can also view it online on my blog.
And maybe I’ll make it into a little video too so you can view it here, that would be pretty cute.
Little page turning graphics, it would be like story time!
So make sure you check out the link in the description to get your own copy of “The Tale of Bergamot Bunny”.
The other thing we’re celebrating is Bergamot’s new website.
I’ve been working on this for a while as well, it’s getting pretty crowded on VioletLeBeaux.com so I thought it was time that Bergamot moved out.
I don’t share space well.
So now she has her own website at BergamotBunny.com
Link in the description.
So check that out.
There’s going to be new pictures and comic books all the time including desktop wallpapers and all kinds of cute stuff.
So if you’re a fan of Bergamot go and follow her new website.
Now the competition, which I’m sure is what you’re all actually waiting for.
Im still working on getting the plushies done but if you want to win your own plushie and win your choice of something from the Bergamot shop.
So for example a nice phone charm or a necklace or a necklace or bracelet or earrings or something like that.
Just enter this competition!
What you need to do to enter is leave me a comment on this video or my blog post telling me what you to see Bergamot get up to next.
It could be that you want her to have her own Facebook page or maybe she should have an adventure with a cute boy or maybe I don’t know, you want me to introduce all of her friends. I don’t know.
Be creative. Judged on creativity so be as creative as you can.
See the full transcript on the blog or on turn on closed captions.

The Tale Of Bergamot Bunny Book Competition!

Oh my gosh so much Bergamot news today!

The Bergamot book based on The Moonlight Seedling’s name Bergamot competition entry is FINISHED! I cannot tell you how glad I am to be able to cross this one off my to do list, I’ve felt really guilty on taking so long but I think the finished product is a great start for Bergamot’s adventures and I am looking forward to drawing more now.

The book tells the story of how Miss Bergamot Bunny came to have her name and make her way from her home in an English Earl Grey tea factory to Australia.

I have a hardcover version of the book coming in the next few weeks which I can’t wait to show you guys but for now, you can download the PDF version (optimised for iPad viewing too!) by clicking the link below or you can view it in the gallery below too.

Download The Tale of Bergamot Bunny high res version (35.2mb)

Download The Tale of Bergamot Bunny low res version (11.9mb)

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it and a HUGE thank you to The Moonlight Seedling for her original competition entry 😀

In relation to that, I thought it was time that Bergamot got her own website! She now has her own tumblr which will be filled with Bergamot related drawings, comics, free downloads and other fun things (hint hint, I’ll be introducing her friends soon!). If you like Bergamot please go check out her new site!

For more information on sponsored posts please click here.

YAY finally I can bring my lovely international readers a competition they can enter 😀 😀 😀 That’s right, it’s my birthday next week and you guys are getting the presents haha!

So many many months ago Tae from Gloomth contacted me to see if we could work together, we talked over several months but the timing wasn’t quite right as I kept getting booked out before we could put something together. Fast forward and here we are with a competition for some beautiful clothing 😀

Firstly let me show you guys the dress Taeden custom made for me!

Gloomth-Lolita-Review_7759

Shipping took around 2 weeks so standard for airmail to Australia. The dress was packaged in a bag with wrapping paper and some little cards. There was also a Gloomth pin too, very cute!VioletLeBeauxP1060348_17259This dress is a custom version of the “Sorrow” dress from their site in a dusty pink colour.

Gloomth-Lolita-Review_7752

I’m wearing it in these photos with a small petticoat for a more traditional look. It’s made of light cotton which will be great in Summer and features detachable bows on the collar and wrists.

Gloomth-Lolita-Review_7755

The silhouette is a standard bell shape and it could fit a large or small petticoat depending on the result you preferred.

Gloomth-Lolita-Review_7757

There are so many tiny ruffles and details including several rows of pin tucks around the collar. The collar can also be worn flipped up or down.

Gloomth-Lolita-Review_7766

A little about Gloomth as taken from their website:

Gloomth is a clothing label specializing in unique apparel and accessories. Exquisite quality and original designs set Gloomth apart from the flock. Our pieces are produced in extremely limited quantities, and cannot be found elsewhere- online or in a retail environment.
Gloomth exists between definitions, betwixt subcultures. Forging it’s own decadent path on glittering feet. Our influences can be traced to street fashions and historical attire, to wildflowers and basement clubs. We’re a little bit- of a lot of things.

Each Gloomth piece is made in Ontario, Canada. Free of any unfair or cruel labour practices. We use all new materials, and will occasionally combine some antique fabrics or notions when suitable. Our pieces are  professionally made from pattern development to each stitch- and will last for years.

Gloomth-Lolita-Review_7770

Here are some close ups of the little details.

Gloomth-Lolita-Review_7780Gloomth-Lolita-Review_7786

The middle sash is also long enough that it can be wrapped around twice and either tied at the front or back which is great!

Outfit of the Day and Face Facts Competition

This post was sponsored by Face Facts Tees.
For more information on sponsored posts please click here.

Time for some outfits and there’s a competition for Australia readers at the bottom of the post ^_^

It’s getting really cold here so I’ve busted out all of my Winter clothes finally!

VioletLeBeauxP1060321_17260

Hat- Imagination

Scarf- ebay

Dress- Valley Girl

Stockings- Ebay

Shoes- 7 Angels

VioletLeBeauxP1060323_17262I like this outfit a lot, mostly the stockings because they have little hearts all over them 😀 The shoes were a bargain at only $10! I really need to poke another hole in the belt because it’s quite loose.VioletLeBeauxP1060315_17254I took the time to tailor my trench a bit last week so it’s more fitted. I do need to get around to properly taking it in but I can’t decide whether it would be a lot less effort to just sell it and buy a smaller size. It’s a really nice jacket but I’m not as in love with the cut as I was when I bought it last year.

VioletLeBeauxP1060312_17251

Some make up shots from the last few weeks.

VioletLeBeauxDSC_6431_17176VioletLeBeauxDSC_6430_17175VioletLeBeauxDSC_6428_17173

Haha epic laziness= having hair and make up done for a skype call but not changing out of my pajamas 😀

VioletLeBeauxDSC_6432_17177

This outfit was another one I bought on ebay recently. I’ve been on a little bit of a shopping binge  and I couldn’t resist the cute nauticalness.

VioletLeBeauxP1060416_17322

It’s made of tshirt fabric too so it’s really comfortable!

VioletLeBeauxP1060418_17324
