Simple Snowflakes Winter Nail Art

Here’s some extremely basic snowflake nailart. I really need to get better lighting for these videos. This one’s not really a full tutorial but I’ve been filming what I do with my nails as I grow them out slowly! .

Snowflake nail art instructions.
Hello!
Today I’ll show you how I do some very simple snowflake nail art.
Start by painting a base coat alternating fingers in silver and light blue.
The light blue I had was very plain so I added a sparklier coat to it too.
Using a nail pen or thing brush, paint white snow flakes randomly all over the nails.
Each snow flake is made up of 3 lines crossing over in the middle with arrows on the end and arrows between the stems.
Make sure to keep the lines quite thin or else it will be hard to tell what the snowflake actually is.
You can alternate the designs slightly on each fingers to keep it interesting.
I gave some of the snowflakes extra crosses and some of them had little hearts on the end, all kinds of things like that.
Once it’s completely dry, give everything a nice top coat.
Don’s press too hard or the snowflakes might run a bit.
These snowflakes make a perfect winter manicure.
Or if you’re like me, and you’re somewhere that it’s extremely Summery at the moment, you can use them to dream about next Winter.
Hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.

Dolly Wink Lashes Finally!

Dolly-Wink-Eyelash-Review-VioletLeBeaux-0319

After what seems like a very long time I finally managed to try out Dolly Wink lashes. They were given to me by my lovely friend Glo-w who sent the cutest care package. Considering they retail here for $30+ I was really apprehensive!

So how do they stack up? They are very well made.

The band is thin and the lash placement is very good.

They are extremely comfortable for every day wear and quite durable, after around 4 uses I had a couple of lashes sticking in odd directions but they were easy enough to smooth back into place.

You can see from the photos they make quite an impact. These are some of my all time favorite every day lashes. The only problem I have is the price. If I was living in Japan or they were the same price here as they retail for there I would probably ditch every other pair I had and stick with only Dolly Wink. Unfortunately as they don’t sell them properly here the lashes are only available via importers at pretty crazy prices.

VERDICT: I love the lashes, I guess this post is really saying PLEASE Dolly Wink, come and sell here in Australia I can’t afford to buy you at imported prices ;_; … or take me back to Japan so I can buy there! XD

Simple Everyday Style – Morning Make Up

A new segment I’m trying out where in I show my morning make up routine for various days and chat about what I’m doing that day. Not really a tutorial, more of a random girly chat while we get ready together in the bathroom 😉

Today’s style features my simple every day style. It’s no fuss and goes well when I want that extra 10 minutes sleep in 😀 .

Morning Make Up Instructions

Welcome to another edition of Morning Make Up where I do my make up and we chat.
Today’s look is simple for everyday.
I’m up early today because both James’ and my parents are visiting.
Foundation first as usual though.
A little highlighter under the brow and a wash of champagne shimmer over the whole lid.
I’m totally not a morning person!
Then a dot of white in the middle of the eye.
It takes me a good couple of hours to get my brain away even with tea.
A tiny bit of pale pink on the outer corner next to give some definition.
I tend to go to bed very late though so it kind of makes up for sleeping in… so I keep telling myself anyway!
I’m pretty sure that if I keep telling myself that enough it’s true right?
Blending it all together!
Today we’re taking James and my parents around Melbourne.
Mascara next!
James’ Dad is a huge Collingwood supporter so they are going to go catch a game too.
I don’t have a football team which is very un-Melbourne of me.
Some thin liquid liner with a wing.
While they’re out I think the rest of us will find somewhere nice to eat!
Today I was awake enough to put on some lashes but if I’m too sleepy I won’t bother.
I’m really bad at being a tour guide though, I never know where to take visitors.
We usually just take people to the same places over and over again.
It’s kind of boring, you know… so here’s our McDonalds…
A little blush to make me look more awake!
I think we’ll probably just end up at the claw machines.
Add some lippy and I’m all done!
We’ve lived here for 2 years and I still don’t know where anything is it’s kind of sad.
And we’re all done.
It’s pretty but it’s still quite subtle.
I hope this was a useful video, please check out the blog post linked in the description for more information and tutorials.
Thanks so much for watching!

Peach Eye Make Up and 4 Fun Fringe Styles

In the spirit of trying some new things I decided to give the peach colours from my 88 palette a spin 😀 Morning Make Up with peach!

I started off making a video on my tips for keeping your fringe nice in Melbourne’s insane weather and instead I got a bit carried away and did a video with 4 fringe styles XD

Time for the vlogs!

Day 7- Photoshoot!

Day 8- Walking Lottie!

Day 9- Shopping and Heatwave!

Hope you all had a good weekend! ^_^

Using a Crimper For Volume and Lazy Day Make Up

It’s really starting to warm up here. The hotter it gets, the lazier I get XD

Inspired by that, here is my ultimate lazy day make up!

And in another lazy-ish style, here’s how I use a crimper to get some volume at the top of my head. It’s easy and it lasts really well. Good alternative to teasing for simple styles!

And as if that wasn’t enough, here’s the laziest vlog ever 😀 We went to Werribee Open Range Zoo so here are some super cute animals! You know how much I love Meerkats!

And here’s two Lottie videos because I love seeing her as a puppy like this!

Hope you all had a good weekend! ^_^

High Messy Bun Tutorial and Red and Black Eye Make Up

It’s round up day today!

I have another matching set of videos. This time it’s the look I used when we filmed at the ocean. First is the Morning Make Up video featuring the red and black eye look. It’s nice and dark and quite versatile!

Then the hair style tutorial from the same look. I do love matching sets! The hair for this look is a big messy high bun.

Lastly, every year James and his brother Kris have an arm wrestling competition. It’s full of brotherly smack talk XD Enjoy!

Hope you all had a good weekend! ^_^
