Bergamot Clay Magnet Tutorial

Jan 13, 2012 by

Food Friday will be back next week once I get some more ingredients for baking :D

So until then I thought I would show you how I made some fun little Bergamot shaped magnets out of paperclay! Paperclay is such a fun and challenging medium, even after playing around with it for so long I still find it hard to get it to do what I want, I think that’s half the fun though!

There’s a video of this coming too soon ^_^

  1. Eee Bergamot is so cute!! I had a thought about painting her onto a set of nails, but then I realized that I never get around to wearing the sets that I create… XD

You always make the cutest things! Does the clay just air dry? I’de like to make some keychains as well, but will the clay be too brittle?

    • Yep, it just air dries. If you’re going to make key chains I would suggest polymer clay like sculpey because you bake it and it’s much more durable :D

  3. omg i freakin love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

ooo paperclay? I’ve never heard of that before! It sounds interesting!!

    • It’s a similar feel to regular air dry clay but it’s *so* light because it’s got paper fibers in it so it’s brittle and tearable. Such an interesting material.

  5. So cute!!!! I want one!
