Soba and Fried Rice Sushi Food Friday!

Nov 18, 2011 by

Food Friday! Today I’m showing you my favorite summer food to cool down in summer: cold soba noodles, and one of James’ random kitchen creations: fried rice sushi XD

Both of them are ridiculously easy which makes me happy!

Soba noodles first!

Cook noodles and wash them until they’re chilled. Put them onto a wooden rack in a bowl (I didn’t have one so I use the steamer rack from my rice cooker).

  1. I love asian food. @_@

    I am so hungry now.

  2. I love making my own fried rice. I’ve never had soba noodles, I’ll have to try that. I still need to try my tofu noodles too.

Husband learned how to do this thing in Korea… where you have a rice dish in a bowl and tiny strips of seaweed… and if you’re handy enough with a pair of chopsticks you can put the seaweed on the dish and kinda pick it all up and it’s like sushi, but…. this is really confusing. Tempted to make a video of him eating it just to demonstrate. I think it would be much easier and yummier than individual fried rice sushi rolls. XD

    • Oh you should try soba, they’re really good hot or cold. Haha I think that’s kind of what I ended up doing out of laziness… though I used my fingers instead of chopsticks… again very lazy XD
