Oct 29, 2011 by

I’m pretty sure it’s still Friday somewhere in the world right? Planning fail again XD One of these days I’ll get myself properly organised!

So today’s Food Friday is  James’ Jam Drop recipe which I will steal and claim as my own >:D Mine didn’t actually turn out half as nice as his but oh well!

You need:

  • 130g butter, softened
  • 112g (1/2 cup) caster sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 3 tablespoons self-raising flour
  • 150g (1 cup) plain flour
  • Jam for filling and then any decorations you want
Get all of your ingredients together!

  1. Those looks delicious!! I wonder how apple jam would fare…

Also, it’s totally still Friday in Washington State.

    • I bet it would taste like apple pie, mmmm I want to try it! Yay for international timezones! Now I feel less wrong XD

  2. Crispier is better! hee hee. I love how in the next to the last photo your hair got onto the cookie sheet! LOLz It’s ok if you were late posting, better late then never. (at the risk of sounding cliche, lol) You are a busy woman and we readers must understand that, and it’s not good to spread yourself too thin. I appreciate you Violet, and all of your awesomeness with sharing and caring that you do. Hugs.
    Your awesome pal,
