Snapshots time again :D

First off we took a trip to Cacao Green which is a new frozen yoghurt place at 285 Swanston St. Celeste was there for a food blogger event and as James and I have been writing for her on her food blog, we tagged along.

Me with the adorable owner Alvi, she was so sweet!

  1. I just read this while on a break during a 16 hour shift. You made me smile and relax :) Sounds like you’ve been having some really fun times!

    • Thinking of helping you relax on long shifts always gives me a smile when I hit publish! <3

  2. It’s always so fun to see your photos;D You’re soooo cute!! I must try that yummy looking green tea latte if I had a chance to visit MelbourneXD <3 xxx

  3. Looks like you’ve had a fun time, that green tea latte does look delicious xoxo

    • It’s been a really great couple of weeks! Seriously you need to try one of these lattes, so yummy!

  4. I love your hair as always!!!

  5. Those waffles are such a cute shape :D

  6. ~ your first Mexican food ?!~ I’m astounded.!

Just returned from Austin from over the 4th of July weekend – if you didn’t get some, try some Queso (or: chili con queso)-spicy liquid cheese!! You eat it with tortilla chips…tacos, quesadilla, burritos..they’re ALL great! Sopapillas for dessert – you put honey on (or: IN) them if you like.

Here in the 505 – a.k.a. NEW Mexico, of course we have it 24/7 if we want it…*heehee!

And…so…? What sort of a burrito did you get, and what did you think? What else was on the menu? Just curious…
    Those “instructions” made me giggle…
    * ; )

    • Well I’ve had like Australia’s bastardised version of tacos etc but I imagine someone from Mexico would laugh at that kind of food being calle Mexican XD Honestly because we’re so far away from Mexico and there isn’t a big American population here there isn’t as big a market for it so there are only a couple of restaurants which are apparently not authentic haha. The owner is actually from California, he moved here with his wife and was disappointed he couldn’t get the food he grew up on so opened his own place to keep it as authentic as possible. I’ve never heard of Sopapillas, totally have to google it and see if I can make them ^_^ I’m not a fan of spicy foods so this time I stuck with the vegetarian burrito, very nice! You can read the full review that James and I wrote with the menu etc over here:

  7. Lovely snapshots. ^^ I find it great that there are healthy foods there. I mean it’s always good to eat healthy right? Anyway, the puppies are cute! <3 I squeed at the junk shop pictures since there are always things that you can change or buy to suit crafting needs at a more than affordable price and there are cute.

    • I think I’m too lazy to eat healthy but I’m sure I’m going to pay for it later! It’s nice that there are places that still taste like junk food and aren’t too bad for me haha! I definitely need to head back and pick up that mini tea pot and window pickets!

  8. Cat

Definately another place to add for my Melbourne shopiing day next week.

  9. Lilybox

Hey Violet! Do you use BB cream? If so, what brand do you use? Thanks! <3

    • Yep, I’ve done quite a few BB cream reviews here if you search in the side bar. My favorite is from The Face Shop but it’s been discontinued now. I’ll be checking out their new range soon :)

  10. Ohh, frozen yogurt¡¡ I love it i’m adicted to the toppings :P. In my town have 2 new places where i can buy and a lot of times i need to turn my eyes to another party to don’t look because i’m in a diet¡¡ hahaha¡¡

  11. It’s so weird how I’m like “What, instructions to OPEN a BURRITO?” But I forget not everyone can eat ‘authentic’ Mexican as often as Americans can XP

    • Haha no definitely not much Mexican to be found around here, though even I thought that instructions were a bit too far XD

  12. Jaede

I also had to have a giggle over the “instructions” for the burrito !
