Beginners Crochet Tutorial- Bunny Project

Jul 7, 2011 by

Phew! Way behind schedule as per usual but finally I am finished this bunny crochet tutorial! Sorry it took so long >_< Hopefully the wait was worth it and those who wanted to take part have had enough time to get some yarn and a crochet hook!

This tutorial is made up of both a video and the photos so you can pick and choose the way of learning that suits you the best or use both for supersized learning ;) It is picture heavy, there are around 50 photos plus the 10min video so if you’re on dial up beware.

The finished project (with a silly drawn on face)….

Oh, You changed your intro! I love it, but I’m really going to miss hearing the Violet intro song and all of its Aussie accented adorableness. I’ve heard that Australians consider their accents ‘twangy’? That’s what southern US accents are called, lol. Twang. ….But James is from Texas, right? He should know that. ^_^’
Anyways, I like your Aussie accent. Especially in the Violet intro song. ;3

    • Hahaha yep new intro, I got so sick of hearing myself XD But I’m going to keep the music from girl with the lashes at the end now so you can reminisce haha! I think it depends on the area of Australia, there are definitely some twangy accents the further out of town you get! Mine’s not a very good representation because I pick up bits of James’ American and my Dad’s English one without realising it so apparently it’s quite international *_* I’ve been teased about it so I’m a bit self conscious! Accents are so weird, even not having lived in America for like 15 years, James’ Mum has an Australian accent but says “Ya’ll” like a real Texan XD

  7. That`s soooo cute!!! I want one <3 <3 <3

    Hello,

It’s been a week since I started crochet and I’m definitely going to make a bunny ! I hope it’ll look good.
I wondered why did you use a thin sewing thread instead of wool? Is it better for sewing the bunny to use thiner yarn or was it only for video purposes?

I’ll come back post photos when I’ll make the bunny.
Thanks a lot for the tutorial =)

    • I hope it worked out for you! there’s not much difference between thin thread or wool for stitching. Mostly it was so you could see what was going on in the video but I find it also gives flatter seams too, sometimes wool can be too bulky to use. Good luck!
