More Hair Styling With Celeste

Jun 20, 2011 by

After the fun we had last post I decided I would share all of the videos Celeste and I made the last time she was here. After finishing up with her Hime style squid hair we decided to give one of my favorite styles a try: big curly one sided up do thingy covered in flowers. Catchy name yes?

I will be doing a lot of these videos again as proper tutorials once I get Sophie back from the laptop fixing place because James has set me up a fancy new video area with nice lighting and a backdrop.  Celeste is coming back soon so we can do more together too!

Again no talking, just music so feel free to imagine this conversation in the background:

Violet: I think this style is kind of Marie Antoinette-ish at least that era. Well maybe not in a really historically accurate way but still pretty.

Celeste: Pft very pretty. Almost as pretty as Nyan cat!

Violet: Hahaha! James has been trying to play that all morning on his guitar>_<

Celeste: I wonder if I could get my school band to play?

Violet: Nyan orchestra! So cute!

Celeste: I like this style, very pretty.

Violet: You should do it at home for work!

Celeste: Meh too hard to get up that early XD

Violet: True, also get up so much earlier just to look like the wind blew your hair over to one side and you fell in a garden of flowers?

Celeste: Ahahahahaha!! *sending photos to roommate*

Roommate: Cyndie Lauper!!!

Violet and Celeste: -_-’

Hope you enjoyed!

So if you want to see the photos James took of Celeste or read more about our day, check her post over here!

Side note: I managed to find a place to fix Sophie, thanks for all of your suggestions guys!! She should be back in action tomorrow-ish :D

I like this one — it looks like it will work well with crazy naturally curly hair like mine :D :D I’m always looking for more fun ways to style naturally curly hair :)

Have you tried the goody spin pin??? ( http://www.goody.com/#/grid/simple_styles/products/simple_styles_spin_pin ) I am completely infatuated with them!! Slightly messy look with good hold and no bobby pins popping out all over the place :)

    • Oh the hair style is sooooooooooooooooo cute…

    • I’ve never seen those pins before! They look really interesting, I wonder if I can make my own if they don’t sell them here XD It looks very cool!

They’re great! I love their french twist one, too :D. Do you have a P.O. Box or something? I could send you some :)

        • Aww you are so sweet! I do have a PO Box, postage to Australia is so expensive though! I wouldn’t want to be an inconvenience!

Hm. Maybe after I start my new job :). I might owe James some sloppy joe or other American food of choice for accidentally naming his computer… ;)

          • Haha I’m sure all would be forgiven with a sloppy joe XD

  2. Celeste looks so pretty! Seeing this style done in real time rather than just photos give me the confidence, and guidence, to try it again.

BTW…My hair goes to my hips and is naturally curly. Do you have any cute hair styles that would work well with such a wild mess that doesn’t involve a straighter and two other people to help with?

    • She is adorable isn’t she? It really is a nice easy style to do, looks so much less complicated once you know how it’s done XD Hmm let me think about you hair a bit and se what I can come up with!

  3. o-o Whoa! The hairstyle really did looked like Celeste had just landed in a flower bush while the heavy wind was blowing. xD I was expecting the hairstyle to be like the one in one of your snapshots haha. Oh well, funny video none-the-less.

    • XD This is the same style as in the snapshots post, it looks different every time depending on how your hair wants to behave that day. There’s a lot more detail in the photos on Celeste’s blog, she looks adorable!

  4. Its lovely!!! thank I will try!!
