Purikura Cross Stitch Tutorial

May 27, 2011 by

Finally managed to finish one of my long term crafting projects. Embroidery is something I either go crazy with and do all the time or just leave and don’t look at for months and this was one of the ones that took me months to get the motivation to finish!

Basically it’s a little cute frame with cross stitch to hold purikura photos. I found the frame at a thrift store around 2 years ago for 50cents :D The pattern inside was to test out some random stitches and try out my skills because I haven’t done cross stitch since I was a kid!

  1. I absolutely love the frame. :) It looks very cute. As for the embroidery, for someone that haven’t done it since childhood, that is amazingly good (better than mine anyway >>). The only thing that bugged me I guess was the stitching, but that’s just me ^^;.

  2. I used to cross-stitch quite a bit years ago. This is such a cute idea, I feel inspired to try it myself!

    • Did you? I think it’s one of those crafts everyone has to try at least once :D Let me know if you give it a try!

  3. I dont promise to do the same but I promise that I will cut little heart and things I cant do it in ut way I will do it my way but I love the frame and little hearts love it love it

  4. Apparently I missed this post, so I’m glad you have the suggested posts at the bottoms because this is an adorable idea and I’ll be scouring the thrift stores for the perfect frame now!

One question, though…What is that bag you’re holding? I swear, it looks like it says “ept” on it and it looks a lot like the logo for the ept pregnancy test in the US…But you guys can’t possibly be kissing over a pregnancy test bag….Although the thought really gave me a chuckle, so I figured I’d share.

    • Oh I’m so glad that the suggested posts thing is actually useful! I always debate whether to keep it because it takes up so much room. LOL!! It’s definitely not a pregnancy test XD No clue what the bag is from, maybe an accessory store but it was like 4 years ago so I can’t remember *_* Most definitely not a pregnancy test though ahahaha!
