Easy Leopard Print Nail Art Photo Tutorial

May 3, 2011 by

So remember that leopard print nail art I was talking about when I reviewed Molten Metalics from Face of Australia? I actually got around to doing it! No, it’s not particularly original and I’ve done the same pattern a bajillion times but it’s still hard to not look at in the sunlight!
I’ve previously done a video tutorial on leopard print but some people have trouble following videos so here’s a nice easy quick photo tutorial of the steps.

What you need:

  • 3 colours of polish
  • Thin brush
  • Clear topcoat

  10. Looks fab!
I am too scared to try it myself.
I’ve used the Konad with black over the gold and it looks fab.

I love using my Konad templates! It’s typically so fast and easy, but can be frustrating on stubborn days.

      • I so know what you mean, on a good day Konad is awesome but on a bad day Konad=seriously fail!

    • I used to be obsessed with the konad leopard plate! The looks awesome with an orange base then gold stamp then black :D

  11. So chic! Can’t wait till my nails grow out again to try this.

I have a general nail question if you don’t mind. I want to paint some acrylic nails, but I’d like to be able to do it without putting them on my own nails first. Do you have any tips on how to do this? The only thing I can think of is using a small bead of glue on a stick to hold the nail in place, but then I’d have dried glue on the underside, which won’t look good when I put them on. Help?

    • Just use some blutac to hold them onto the ends of match sticks or wall hooks, works really well and at the end there’s no damage to the nail :)
