Review: Face of Australia Range

Apr 16, 2011 by

I’ve been chatting on and off with Tina from Face of Australia on twitter for a while now and having used some of their products before I was really excited when she offered to send me a care package. Face of Australia is one of those brands which is completely underrated in my opinion. I’ve used their products in the past and really liked them and I always check them out when I head into a Priceline but you never really hear people talking about them much. Recently they have delved into the land of social media and now everyone is talking about them which is great! It’s really nice to see an Australian brand succeeding and doing social media the right way for a change rather than just begging for retweets.

So on to the reviews! I have an entire collection of polishes which will be up in tomorrow’s post but for now let’s talk make up. It was a mixed bag and some things I absolutely loved while others were nice but not for me.

  1. I am from Canada and we don’t have this brand obviously.. so I can’t really reflect on that, but I just want to say Welcome to my Blog, it’s really nice to see you there :D

  2. I so totally agree with you on the eyeliner.
It’s the eyeliner I reach for on a daily basis due to its ease of use. It lasted me a long time though! Hmmm… now that I think of it, it’s been with me for almost two years now! Ew. I think I need to replace it soon!!

    • XD Maybe yes after 2 years, though I’ve got some make up even older than that * embarrassed* Seriously though, the liner is total magic :D

  3. I’ve used FOA since it was released, the main one I use is the primer which is great. Sadly it’s not available in Dubai so hopefully I get a trip to Oz soon to re-stock!

I also used to have the Divine Shine in Cashmere and the tube gloss in the shade ‘Fremantle’ which they don’t make any more :(

But deffo agree on the primer, it’s as good as BClarins eauty Flash Balm & NP AutoPilot (both crew cult faves) but doesn’t give me the nasty allergic reaction that Clarins does!

    • Oh no! Let me know if you want me to care package you anything? I was so surprised that I didn’t react to anything from this batch, made me very happy!

  4. I love the liquid eyeliner. I’ve been using it for 10 years now and always got back to it. The primer is another item I really like.

  5. Ohh! Lucky! I’ve been wanting to try more of their products for a while now, I swear by their Primer!

  6. I am absolutely IN LOVE with the liquid eyeliner – I have never been able to apply before and this is a dream.
The primer is fab too, I have given Napoleon the flick on that one.

I am the opposite of you, absolutely love the plumper too, but I love the smell of ginger and cinnamon.

Only worked my way through a 1/4 of my C.Package but am very impressed [and extremely surprised]
Will definitely be buying FOA in the future
