Blue Room Wear Sewing Tutorial

Apr 20, 2011 by

Another sewing tutorial :D

This time I’m making some nice comfortable room wear to lounge around at home in ^_^ I spend a lot of time at home working and I like to be nice and comfy while I’m doing it so cute house clothing is the key!

The set I’m showing you how to make is a very basic loose shirt and tight pants. You reeeeally can’t get much more basic than this. The fabric I’m using is a stretchy soft towelling so it breathes well in summer and is nice and soft for relaxing. It is also nice and stretchy so it’s forgiving if you make a mistake or you’re a beginner.

It was quite hard to take photos for this one as I didn’t have a big enough space to spread the fabric out completely, I’ll be as descriptive as I can but let me know if it doesn’t make sense!

This is the result, not the prettiest but damn comfortable!

    You look adorable! Really 70′s

I personally wouldn’t try it because I’m afraid it doesn’t look as cute on me (I’m 1m82) and I have a stupid phobia of pompoms because my grandma has used the same in a creepy yellow to make all the creepy curtains of her house XD… But on you it looks much nicer ^^I’m not scared at all when I see you in these XD

  11. Woow!! They look so nice and comfy:D I love wearing soft, fluffy clothes at home too;p

  12. The way you make your own clothes and patterns is so inspirational! I am always trying to find new patterns or make new clothing but I am always too afraid to start in case I get it wrong.

    • :D Thank you! Don’t be afraid to try new things, sometimes they don’t turn out the way you intended but there is *always* a way to fix or turn them into something even better :D If you take the leap you might be pleasantly surprised!

  13. This looks adorable! This would work really well with stretch velour too, which is really soft and warm this time of year:)
