Macaron Chocolate Nail Art Tutorial
This tutorial has been waiting for a very long time XD I first did this design when we moved here to Melbourne to celebrate going to a chocolate party and it was a big hit then so I’ve done it several times since! As you can see I went a little crazy with the nail art tutorials while I had long natural nails hahaha.
Hope that was helpful and let me know if any of you try it :D

I’ve been looking forward to this one! I do have a question, though- do you use a base coat? I’ve been looking to get a new one because my nail polish never has any staying power- seriously, I get like a day out of my varnish before it starts chipping, if that. Since I want to try this one out this week, I figured you’d be the one to ask!
I do generally use a base coat, I’ve been experimenting with a couple but haven’t found one I really liked yet :( I’ll let you know if I do though!
I noticed the dark brown polish you used was labeled “Black Out”. Is that the original bottle, or just a confusing color name?
The polish in the video is a Sally Hansen called “Blackout” but it’s quite transparent and more of a very dark brown than true black so it works really well. Hope that helps!
how long does it take for your polish to dry?? i do not have that kind of patience!
Not long, its touch dry after maybe 10 minutes :) If you’re worried about drying times then I find the Sally Hansen quick dry ones are pretty good or try a quick dry top coat :)
So super cute!!! How long does it take the ‘chocolate drips’ to dry though? And do you have any secret tips to growing your nails out?
Not too long, maybe 10min after finishing the last finger. It depends on the polish you use though. I found that to grow my nails the best thing was to do complicated nailart on them so I wanted to keep them nice XD
yay thank you! I’ve been wondering how you did this :) But wouldn’t that take very long to dry since such a liberal amount of polish was used?
It honestly doesn’t take that long (though it depends on the type of polish you use), by the time I’m finished the last nail it’s maybe 10 minutes. If you’re worried about drying time maybe try using quick-dry polish or a quick top coat :)
OMG. I love the Chocolate Nail Art! Makes me wanna lick your fingers now. Love this tutorial Violet! Thanks for sharing :)
Wahaha! Do don’t eat me!! Hope about I just give you a manicure next time I see you <3
I’ve been experimenting with nail art recently, and decided to have a go at this! I don’t have brown nail polish, so I mixed together black and red acrylic paint. I had so much trouble getting the drippy effect on my right hand! Darn non-dominant hand!

Wow you did a great job! Let me know if you would like me to add it to the readers gallery :D
