What you need:
- White felt
- Needle
- Ribbon
- Yellow thread
- Pen
- Scissors
Start with the white felt and draw a circle, if you need to use something round to trace around.

Cut as many circles as you want daisies. I chose to make my headband with 5 because I think odd numbers work look better.

Find the centre of the circle by folding it in half twice and putting a pen dot where the folds intersect.

Now draw a small circle in the middle which will be the yellow part in the end. Then it’s time to cut the petals, below you can see the order in which to cut. You should cut from the outside edge and stop at the inside circle. You will end up with 12 petals, the crappy diagram at the bottom has lines to show the cuts XD

Now on each of the petals cut the corner off into a rounded point.

Repeat on the other side ^_^

Now thread your needle with the yellow thread. You could either use thick embroidery thread or just double up like I did, if you use thin cotton you will be here forever.

Turn your flower over to the right side (the non-drawn on one) and running stitch around the centre circle. Pull the thread tight so the flower buckles a little and becomes more 3d and the petals stick up a bit.

Do a second round of running stitch in the gaps from the first one so it forms a complete circle of yellow:

Now stitch across the circle like this:

Then go back the other way so it forms a kind of cross hatching ^_^ and fills in the circle. Done!

Repeat for all of the daisies then sew them on to the ribbon ^_^ I used a green ribbon for the tie then added a yellow ribbon over the top as an extra dangly thingy.

And that’s it!

Wear and enjoy ^_^

Hope you enjoyed it! I’m feeling very Spring-ish today ^_^ |
Pretty!~ and so sweet. can imagine wearing it to a garden tea party or a garden wedding! lols…what’s all this about weddings >_<" Btw love ur scarf ^^
Wahaha too much wedding talk XD I think James is feeling the pressure hahaha!
I really didn’t think it could be this simple, it looks so posh and something I know I would pay good money for!
Time to find some felt and thread…
That’s such a lovely compliment :D I would love to see if you make one!
That is sooo cute! I’m not usually a daisy fan but this is just great! They look perfect with that hairstyle too!
Thanks Caro!
That looks so adorable, I love it!
Very glad you enjoyed it :D
love it!
yes very spring-ish :D
I’m trying not to miss Winter haha!
This is really cute. My mom is making a ton of doll clothes lately and this would be cute on some of the accessories.
I really like how you stitched the centers all criss-crossy, to really look like a daisy center. I’d love to see what all French Knots would look like, but putting yellow felt under them might be needed, so the white didn’t peek through. Maybe French Knots would be better on smaller flowers.
Keep up the great work on all your crafts. Looking at them makes me what to be more crafty myself and gives me lots of ideas.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment! I think French knots would look adorable but yes you would probably need some felt underneath. I think this would look adorable on dolls clothes too :D
This is so cute! I have a bit of light blue felt left over from a project, maybe I’ll make one of these in blue :D
That would be adorable, you know I’m a sucker for light blue!
That headband looks so sweet for Summertime. I heard it’s warming up in Melbourne.
Kisses, Melanie
It seems to warm up for like 3-4 days then cool right down again, I wish it would make up its mind!
It looks very good with this hairstyle. I think I will try something like this but in red :)
Thanks Rabbit, good luck with it :D
Aw, thats cute!

No problems, I’m glad you like it!
looks soo cute ^.^
Thank you!
As usual, I am in awe of your craftiness. I love the idea of felt-textured daisies… I think that’s really different. It’s fun to contrast fabrics.
Haha thanks Alisa!
A happy new year Princess!! Looong time no see(^^; hehehe…
These flowers look super cute on you:D I wish I had one too!!!
Happy NY Princess!! Aww thank you, maybe I can make one and send it to you?
gaah! That is so super-duper cute. It looks great with your hair up like that. I’m not much of a headband person, but I made an impromptu bow headband to wear to Hairspray the other day, and I really liked it, so I think I’ll be making heaps more.
:D Thanks Ness! I don’t think I could live without my headbands hahaha!
Looks gorgeous doll! I can never make my felt projects look so neat!!
The key is tiny tiny scissors XD
This is simply precious! I love flowers on hairbands and clips, so I might try this tutorial myself. Like Miss Lumpy said, it’d be fun to try these in different colours too!
xo
I couldn’t agree more :D
you inspired me to make these =]

I used hemp and hot glued the middlee to a little piece of white felt and then kept putting hot glue on the back after spinning it into a spiral =]
Oh those are really cute! Would you like me to add them to my reader’s gallery?
You can if you want, doesn’t matter to me =]
