Review Estée Lauder Eyeshadow
Jan 26, 2011 by Violet
The other day when I posted about the Illamasqua eye pencil a couple of people asked about the eyeshadow I was wearing, well here it is! It was one of the items in the MBBE gift bags as you can see below :D

It’s the Estée Lauder Pure Colour Eyeshadow in “Enchanted Forest Shimmer”.
| Just with the shadow and mascara:

The price here in Aus for one of these is $42 (according to their website) which is on par with other high end brands here. Unfortunately as per usual here in Aus we pay more than twice as much for most of our cosmetics that those overseas for absolutely no reason whatsoever >:(
The quality is very lovely, it really glides on and it’s quite pigmented without looking fluorescent. I think it’s a really nice way to do a non-natural colour without being too over the top. The colour lasted all day for me with no problems and stayed where it was supposed to.

With liner and the rest of my make up:

VERDICT: High end brand and therefore out of my budget… still very good quality, lasts well through the day and doesn’t migrate. DO WANT (but not at Australian prices). |
ebay is ur friend. i get all my makeups online now. granted some things i like you cant even buy here *cough*urbandecay*cough*
I completely agree! Screw Australian prices >:( I get most of my make up from overseas friends now or online.
Ooo…pixie like eyes~ Lovely but yeah the buget is a lil over =( Good birthday present though hehe Hint hint…
Haha very good birthday present! Budget is pretty crazy, I want to compare the costs to countries all over the world.
:( It’s annoying how everything is so expensive here…And we don’t have Sephora. I’d move to America just to shop there!
Apparently there is a Sephora planned here but I don’t doubt for a second that it’s going to be ridiculously expensive too :/
wow the eyeshadow is so pastel toned which works beautifully on your skin, and brings out your utterly breathtaking eyes ~! if you are searching for affordable estee lauder products try searching for them on sasa.com an asian wholesale online beauty shop. i found their lipgloss there (which i absolutely adore)
Thanks Maki, you are very sweet! I love Sasa though I’ve never searched for this brand there, I’ll have to go do my research :D Thanks for the tip!
Sadly on your pictures it looks very sheer, and as I prefer very pigmented eyeshadows this one isn’t for me.
Maybe using a primer under could add a bit of opacity to it, but honestly.. I’d never pay such a price for such a product. I prefer mineral eyeshadow ;D.
It is very sheer so yes if you’re looking for something very pigmented this won’t be for you. I think it’s good for people who are just starting to experiment with colour. Way expensive here but I know they are much more reasonably priced overseas though XD
You look so pretty in any colour:D
Aw you are so sweet Princess :D
I know this is an older post, but I was curious, so I looked up prices…this one is $20 here in the U.S. according to their website. I’m sure you could find it cheaper in stores with sales and stuff tho. I don’t do much with makeup, but it’s a bummer that it’s so expensive over there!!
I completely agree, it does suck that it’s pricy over here and that’s why most of us shop online now and order direct from the US!
