Thoughts:
One of my favorites in the Ulta3 range because it’s really lovely with purple nail art. It’s quite a dark pink so it’s definitely not drawing any Barbie comparisons but in the sun it really picks up the silver shimmer and looks quite spectacular.

Good for:
-Office appropriate manicures that still pack a punch
-Matching with purple nail art

Colour Name:
Lagoon
Description:
Acid green with a very slight silver shimmer.

Thoughts:
Whoever came up with the name should have picked something else. The only thing that I think that this colour has to do with a lagoon is disgusting poisonous alge XD That said the colour itself is actually really nice and layers well, perfect for Spring manicures :D

Good for:
-Spring themed nail art
-Flowers etc
Bad for:
-Konad, too sheer.

Colour Name:
Sizzling Red
Description:
Very fire engine red, can’t see it when it’s on but there is a little violet through it too.

Thoughts:
This one packs a punch :D Bright and shiny and very pigmented. You really can get away with one coat as you can see below:

Good for:
-Vampy manicures
-Looks great paired with white tips.

Colour Name:
Seduction
Description:
Bright pink with a slight gold shimmer.

Thoughts:
This is your serious Barbie pink ^_^ There is no way to un-cuten this colour hahaha! I think the photos and the fact that I’ve used 3/4 of the bottle probably speak for themselves.

Good for:
-Sweet styles
-Lolita/Hime Gyaru styles
Bad for:
-Konad, too sheer

Colour Name:
Silver Grey
Description:
Name says it all ;)

Thoughts:
Quite pigmented which makes it fantastic for nail art and making little accents on already done designs. It’s not my favorite silver that Ulta 3 have done (that’s Snazzle) but it’s still a really nice colour in its own right.

Good for:
-Nail art in general or using for small accents.
-Probably good for konad because it’s decently pigmented.

Colour Name:
Little Boy Blue
Description:
Sheer light blue with a lot of silver shimmer.

Thoughts:
This is probably my favorite of all the Ulta 3 colours. It can be used to layer really effectively over other polishes like I did a while ago with that snow manicure or layered by itself for a really deep glitter. By itself it the shimmer becomes so deep it almost looks like glitter. Needs about 3 coats to be opaque

Good for:
-Layering over other polishes
-Making an interesting base coat alone.
Bad for:
-Konad, too sheer.

That’s part one in the ridiculous number of Ulta3 polishes I have! This is going to be a long series because they are so cheap I tend to amass them XD |
Interesting review. Thanks. (Actually, I’m lying. I have no clue, being a dude, about nail polish. I can only say if it looks nice or not. I just wanted to post a comment to support your blog. :-)

I love Freesia! I must keep an eye out for that one. :-)
It’s pretty awesome right?
I love ultra. I find it has fairly good staying power too
Me too! The range of colours is fantastic too, for $2 how can you go wrong XD
The Sizzling Red looks like it would be great for rockabilly or pin-up type styles! And that blue = my dream nail polish *___* Such a perfect shade!

You are so right :D
I have a brand I love much like this called ‘Pure Ice’. I’ll trade you a couple Pure Ice shades for a few Ulta3 shades ^_~

I wish I could :( We’re not allowed to put nail polished through our postal system, they get confiscated :(
I’m not sure if it’s the same, but there’s a makeup chain called Ulta3 here in the US – it’s like Sephora, a big store full of all ranges of makeup.
Oh I wonder if it is!
They are all lovely, but I think I like the blue one best out of these!

It’s my favourite too!
Oh those are good! I like that you can cheaply pick up a polish to match an outfit for a special occasion, or something you might only wear a few times without dropping a bomb on nail polish.

Exactly, they’re so cheap that you could buy one to match an outfit and not even worry if it didn’t match anything else!
I love your polish reviews. You’re so thorough. And you made me laugh about the Lagoon color. :)

Aww I’m so glad! I always wonder if anyone actually reads them or if people just skim for the photos LOL!
I like the pink and green. They are so pretty for spring/summer. I’ll be heading to the chemist in search of these nail polish tomorrow. hehe. Thanks for the swatches.

:D No problems Jin! I think Terry White Chemists usually have them if you’ve got one in the area <3
Really pretty colours!! I think the shimmery blue is my favourite:D
It’s my favorite too, it reminds me of star dust!
I love the Little Boy Blue. I’m a sucker for blue nail polishes.

Me too! I love light blues so much :D
I like Lagoon with navy (ulta3 Midnight Fever); I do my nails Lagoon with navy polka dots, inverse on the thumbs. It’s also luscious with NYC Colors (I get it at 7-11) Berrylicious.
That sounds adorable!
Ok, so I ran into this page almost a year after you made it, but I wanted to say that I enjoyed it! I really like that your swatches show 1-3 coats of color – I’ve seen a lot of blogs and you’re the only one who’s done that, brilliant! Plus, you’re adorable. Carry on!
Oh thank you so much for commenting Jennifer, you are so sweet :D I’m really glad you enjoyed it and I should hurry up and make some more!
