I’ve had a lot of business meetings with people this week too, very lucky that some of them aren’t as boring as others… some of them involve gigantic pink guava drinks :D

Having a business lunch with Marie from One Day in Paradise at the Guava Bean. Omg those drinks were soo good!

We saw this beautiful car the other day in a bridal precession. The poor bride looked like she was dying from the heat though!

The shops here are fully decked out in Christmas stuff now. This is the first time I’ve been to see “Christmas windows”. The theme this year was The Nutcracker, while they were kind of pretty..

The dolls faces kind of creep me out…

Oh this is my favorite busker! He sings kind of Japanese blues with a slide guitar and he’s really good, I want to buy one of his cds when I have the money!

I’ve actually been able t get out more to do some holiday shopping lately. I haven’t decided what t pu on my Christmas list but I’m thinking new clothes because I’m so sick of my wardrobe.
I almost bought this cute bowler hat, yay for hats in summer!

James of course just wants to look at cameras when we go out XD

It seemed to go from Winter to Spring to Summer over the course of like a week, all of the trees are now completely green and so pretty!

All of the streets look like this now:

Architecture time!

I saw this tiny little sparrow having a bath in the dirt, so cute! ^_^

I also saw this doggie pillow that I really want to make in a show window display:

I managed to find these cute tights on sale from Halloween too XD

James was the photographer for the Rock and Roll Ultimate Jam Sessions so he spent the day playing with classic cars.

Of course with Super Kawaii Mama there passers by wanted photos too XD

The inside of the theatre was beautiful..

I got to meet up with Nessbow too who is so crazily stylish. Of course I completely forgot about photos because we were having too much fun XD I only got this one of her coming across the road! She brought James and I Halloween candy, so nice!

We spent that day getting supplies for making flower hair clips :D

I had to post these funny drinks we found the other day, the pink one is supposed to make you more beautiful because it contains collagen and the green has chlorophyl XD Sounds so wrong but tastes so good!

We took James to Costco for the first time too this week! He was so excited because we really don’t have anything like Costco here in Aus XD

Most exciting part for me… seeing a wall of Buenos! Hahahaha!

Ok I lied… the most exciting part was the yummy berry sundae at the end!

James got himself a hotdog and we all spent about 20min laughing at the diy onion dispener thing >_< Again sounds so wrong but tastes so good…

The result:

We did *so* much shopping that day, mostly groceries that we really needed but also spending some early Christmas money on clothes and house hold things.

Between Celeste, Kev, James and I our bags took up more chairs than we did at lunch XD

At lunch we came across who shall now be known as “Passive Agressive Santa”. He came up to us when we were eating lunch and said hello, we said hello back and continued eating as none of us are of Santa appropriate age anymore XD
He then stated loudly “I hope you’re not ignoring Santa! People that ignore Santa don’t get any presents!”. So we played along and took a photo with him, it was very awkward and his beard was very scratchy!

I photobombed Kev and Celeste! Santa also questioned James’ photography skills and made a couple of other creepy comments >_<

James was less serious! When we had finished our meal and paid our bill he came walking after us saying “You’re not running away from Santa are you?! You’ll get no presents”. Thus Passive Aggressive Santa was born and quoted for the rest of the day.

On the way out we saw a less Passive Aggressive Santa… though someone seems to have applied lipstick to this one and he’s wearing a skirt. So he was dubbed Cross Dressing Santa. I find him a lot less disturbing than regular Santa XD

Later that day I also found something that might make me want to clean the house more often… leopard print mop!

And lastly I will leave you with this absolutely terrible costume that James spotted in a junk store XD So wrong!

What have you all been up to?

*snort* Haaa at that costume. And PA Santa sounds terrifying :S

XD It was pretty funny and disturbing!
I wish I could erase that costume from my brain. Also WTF are those round reflector thingys that “costume” doctors have all the time??? I’ve never seen one in real life!!!

I knooow! I *think* that maybe in the old days before electric light they were used to reflect light down people’s throats? Costume=so baaad though!
Thanks for sharing!

Ugh girl, your hair looks so gorgeous curled!! I’m so jealous, it looks so lovely.
Also, out of curiosity, how does James feel about summertime Christmas? I’m not sure what part of America he’s from, but I’m pretty sure nationwide it’s at least chilly (though where I’m from we’re lucky to get above freezing once winter hits! -____-;; ). It just seems so wrong to me, a completely green Christmas! Haha.

Aww! Thanks lovely :D James has been here for like 7-8 years so he’s used to it now but I think he hated it to begin with. Definitely a change! I honestly hate Summer Christmas too, I’ve had both before from being overseas and Summer bites. I hate Summer in general though XD It makes having all of the things you see on tv like Christmas roasts really miserable. Christmas salad just sounds wrong but because of the heat you kind of have to! Lots of people here eat prawns and seafood for lunch on the day!
I love your photo posts. :-)
When I was in Melbourne earlier this year they wouldn’t let me into Costco because I wasn’t a member. :-(

So many photos right? I love Costco! I bought so much stuff there, I wish we had a car so I could go more often!
Those photos with the tram floating on its personal river are fantastic! It just shows us all how crazy the rain has been (and makes me very glad I live on a hill).

Violet~ it was lovely to see you again! I can’t believe the flooding! And I have been thinking about those guava smoothies and the caramel slice… *hungry*
Omg I know what you mean!
Oh Lordy! That Santa seems slightly terrifying. I can’t believe that neither of us got any photos of that meet-up! I lugged my camera around all day and didn’t snap a single shot.
The weather has been crazy, but it’s fairly typical of Melbourne. She is a flighty wench

I know right? I remembered when we were walking away and I almost ran back to find you!! I felt so stupid >_<
The weather has been crazy in Adelaide! It’s funny, I was saying a few months ago that Adelaide doesn’t really have storms, not like Sydney. Then the start of this week, 2 days in a row massize Sydney like storms!
However, not so fun, my parents are supposed to be coming from Sydney to Adelaide to have Christmas with me, but the roads have been flooded & are blocked! I’m crossing my fingers that the roads clear up by the time they plan to leave!

Your photoposts are always so much fun to look at! I don’t usually comment on them >_>;; but I had to this time just to tell you again that your new hairstyle (especially curled) is soo soo soooo pretty!! <3
Thanks so much Kari! And thanks so much for commenting!
Ah! Creepy Santas are a world wide phenomenon! When I was 14 one shouted out as I was passing by, “Hey little girl, I know you want to sit on Santa’s lap.” Eww. The next year one asked if I had been good to which I replied, “No.” He turned around and said, “Good, we need more naughty girls!” I spent several years avoiding them.
Eeeeew!! That’s so wrong!
I just wanted to know that my three-year-old daughter absolutely loves your picture posts. She especially likes the ones where you’ve visited the dollar/100 yen stores. She said that you’re cute. :D

The santa was really disturbing *_*
i love that you live in melbourne now because whenever i see posts with pictures from the city, i’m always like heeeey i know that place :DDD ehehe
Hahaha I’m glad you like it!
That rain was madness! Luckily I live on a hill so I didn’t get flooded! Me? I’ve been clothes shopping at the Retrostar Vintage sale in Brunswick. Got a gorgeous floral skirt and dress, black boots two wristbands AND a Vote for Pedro shirt that I’m currently wearing, all for $32! Nothing was over $10 which was amazing! Finally…for an exuberant $169, I managed to accquire a vintage styled 1940s swimsuit! I am set for summer! Found any good buys around Melbourne?
Wow those are some good bargains! I went shopping at Harbour Town that day and got soo many good deals, everything was on sale! :D
