Outfit Post- My New Hair

Today’s post is quick because I’ve been taking photos for new hair tutorials all day and I am so sleepy now!
I just wanted to show off my new hair cut and colour XD I’ve been thinking of a new style for a while now, my hair had gotten so long and I really needed to trim the ends. I haven’t had layers since I was about 14 so I decided to do that. I also decided it was time for a colour change so I gave myself a pink/copper gradient rather than the dark one I had previously.
This is the dodgy phone pic after I did it all and styled with hot rollers^_^
This one shows off the colours much better and was after pin curling for a night…

The first day I wore it out:
I have to say I absolutely LOVE it. Couldn’t be happier with the result and I think it’s really me! I didn’t lose much length but it’s made it so much more manageable and healthy.
I think the cut is so much more versatile now and I’ve already been able to try a lot of new styles to wear so I’m very happy ^_^ It also means I’ve been able to wear curls all day just from pin curling over night so that is a massive improvement too. Also it’s majorly bouncy so I feel like I’m in a Pantine commercial every where I go now XD

Hair overhauls are great! I just cut all mine off and darkened it after swearing I was going to head to blonde. When I go back to have it done again, I’m going to stay with the shape, but go with some blunt layers, so pin curls sit better.

nawwww NOT FAIR I WANT PINK HAIR!! My friend sent me this link it’s got some incredible fashion photos on it and one of the girls has pink hair :(how do you maintain the colour, regrowth etc on a budget. I’m thinking of getting a white or lilac streak put in mine. that’s about all I can afford.

MWahahaha! Seriously this was way cheap, I just did it myself and there’s not re-growth because it’s only at the bottom! Every once in a while I’ll just redye it to touch up :D

I love the cut! It sits so well. I just cut a lot of my hair off and it is super layered. It sits right below my shoulders which feels super short to me, but like you said it is healthy and manageable. The only downside to my cut it the layers are so deep that it looks like a mullet if I don’t style it. When it is styled it is fabulous.
:D Oh no mullet? I’m sure the styling make sup for it though! Mine doesn’t look very good without styling either but the price we pay huh? XD

hm ’cause I have curly hair it’s difficult to find a cute hairstyle, (most of the pictures in books are from people with fake curls) The last time they were a bit too short to do stuff with it, and I like doing things with my hair so I’m letting it grow ;)

That’s absolutely gorgeous! I love the pink gradient look. The natural wavey hair look is just too beautiful. I’ve recently cut off my waist length hair to just under my jaw line and changed from black to copper blond. I miss my long hair but also enjoying the new short hair style, especially during our Aussie summer!

That’s beautiful! I want to try a slight, even, natural red next. I know that full red would be awful on my, but I think just a bit to add to my brown would be great.

Aww don’t worry about your age, I’m 23 too :) I cut and coloured it myself, the dye was around AU$20, I don’t think I could do a tutorial though because I already did it XD Thanks so much for your comment Jenia and welcome!

I’m glad you put the pink in, I noticed you mentioned you were thinking about doing it permanently and I was going to say ‘DO IT!!!’ :-) Seriously though, how much fun is it? I put a fuchsia/pink colour in mine a few months ago and can’t see myself changing it! They say blondes have more fun, but I think half blondes and pink do! <3

How does your hair feels after that dye? I was wondering, because I’m more into organics but when I saw you, I thought, hey, why not? But I’m afraid to damage my hair, and I want it to grow longer (middle back), so… I’m kinda lost… Maybe for the moment I’ll stick with purple extensions… Oh, and I love your curls so much ^^ I have natural ones, but they don’t want to stay in place, do you know what I should do?

If you’re worried about damaging your hair you should talk to a hairdresser. Extensions are always good though, sometimes they can be damaging too so be careful! My hair wasn’t damaged because it tends to be very thick. If your curls won’t stay in place maybe use a straightener to curl them gently or rot rollers? Good luck :)

It looks so good on you! It’s nice to have a change every now and then :) I really wish my hair would grow faster so I could curl it like you do >_< I can curl my hair it just doesn't look as good as yours xD though I should try hot rollers…they seem to make curls come out very neat and clean :)

Hot rollers are really good for nice bouncy curls! Or maybe try pin curls? Curls can be really hard to get a handle on >_<

What I am I doing with my hair next? Well, I’ve been having problems with my hair for the past two years. Since having my daughter, all that breastfeeding caused me to lose large amounts of hair (my hair’s so boofy I wasn’t too upset initially lol).
In the past year, I was starting to get regrowth, but that just meant I had all this really short hair around the front, like a frizzy mullet which I hate! LMAO..
So I’m really excited, because I’ve just weaned my daughter completely off the boob for the past two weeks, and I’m hoping that might allow everything to settle down. I really just want to grow and have my long curls back. Once it’s a bit longer I’ll start colouring it again too

I just recently had a major hair overhaul-I got most of it lopped off, from over halfway down my back to chin length! Even after a month, I’m still getting used to it, especially now that in the northern hemisphere, winter is coming, so my ears get cold! My hair used to insulate it XD
Oh wow that’s a big change! You should come here to Aus and you’ll be glad for no hair insulation hahaha!

It looks awesome. Did you get it done at a salon? I’m thinking of doing a vertical two-tone with my hair, keeping one side natural dark brown and the other side would be light/medium brown. But I’m afraid of it costing too much or looking bad lol.
