Hair Style- Knotted Up Do

Dec 20, 2010 by

Following on from the previous hair tutorial requests, I was asked to do a more formal updo that was still nice and Summery ^_^

This style doesn’t look good on me personally because of the gradient in my hair but it looks awesome in dark hair because it’s textured enough to show up without looking over the top.

Knots Hair Tutorial

What you need:

  • Brush
  • Hair spray
  • Hair ties
  • Hair spray or frizz serum

    • Haha just experimenting, I think I get bored really easily so I alway play with my hair ^_^ I don’t know if they’re very good though!

I do something very similar for work, and always get compliments :) I use normal plaits and twist it do be more oval, and stick chopsticks in as well as a satin flower – but I’m going to give this a go and change it up a bit

And I really like the look on you, Reece was right, it looks like a strawberry swirl! Maybe if you use a couple of rows of small pearls in the square knotting you’d like it better ;)

    • Oh that sounds amazing! I’ll have to try it the way you do too :D I am definitely going to try out the pearls too <3 Mmm strawberry swirls

This is great!!!! I’ve always wanted to do the extra thick, texturized braids that are so fashionable, but thought I’d have to use a weave to get the look. Using a square knot is a great method and so easy! I’m trying this for a birthday party I’m attending tomorrow evening :) Btw, I think it looks even more interesting with the pink gradient in your hair. Seriously! Tres magnifique <3
