Tutorial- Storing Hair Accessories Take 2
Nov 16, 2010 by Violet
Ages ago I showed you all how I store my hair accessories. Well my old system didn’t really work with my new bathroom so it was time to get crafting and change it to be more functional.

This is what I started with:

| As you can see I have more clips than pins now so I needed to work out how to get more space to put in clips out of the same amount (or less) space. A while ago I added 2 cuts to the middle but it still wasn’t enough. So time to re-think XD
I used:

I cut out the middle:

Folded the edges over and glued them to make seams. Laid out a whole bunch of ribbons:

Glued them in place and that was it!

All of the ribbons now form a network of areas that bows, pins or clips can be hung anywhere :D

Super simple, super easy and now it is the perfect size and shape for my bathroom. And I didn’t have to buy anything new so yay! What do you guys think? |
I love it! <3 so so cute!
Thanks Kay!
I love it! What an awesome Idea and one I plan to use for my own clips and bows.

I saw another tutorial with similar idea except that it used an embrodering hoops with ribbons stretched across it. All these tutorials have inspired me I think! Thank you for sharing.

Yay I can’t wait to see ^_^ I’ll take snaps once the bathroom is all finished. I store my elastic bands in a little pretty porcelain container :)
