Review- BB Cream: Skin79 Hot Pink Triple Functions
This is the first in a series of posts comparing and reviewing BB Creams… I’ve been using BB Cream for around a year now and it can be really hard to find brands suitable for caucasian skin tones so hopefully this will help when you guys are shopping for some! Do keep in mind when comparing that my skin is very pale naturally with cool pink undertones and freckles.
First on the the review pile is one that was sent to me by DBeautyShop.com:
Skin79 Hot Pink Triple Functions BB Cream
Available from: DBeauty Shop
Price: AU$32.89 (on sale from $43.89)
Supposed Benefits:
- Whitening
- SPF25 PA++
- Wrinkle Free
Shipping from DBeauty Shop took around 10 days to Australia which is around average for international shipping. The service I received was very prompt and the website was nice and easy to use. The only thing is that you need to do a search for BB Cream to find it, there is no category listing.
Comes in a nice pretty pink box:

First thing I noticed was that the bottle is massive. It’s a pump action thing that spits out the exact amount your need each time. LOVE that. It’s functional and looks good on the counter so couldn’t possibly love the bottle any more. Price is about average for what we pay for BB Cream here in Aus. According to my overseas friends that’s a hell of a lot more than them XD

I have to admit I am kind of intrigued by BB creams. I’m also pretty pale, so I guess I’ll have to watch what kind I try. I do love the look of this bottle though!

The bottle is so good, I wish I could empty it and put in the right colour XD I honestly love BB creams, it’s just about finding the right one :D
I’m not entirely sure what BB cream is…? But whatever it is, it looks amazing on your face :)

Here’s a quick explanation: http://www.squidoo.com/b-b-cream
It’s basically something you can use before or instead of foundation which is supposed to make your skin nicer and smooth out imperfections so you can have super awesome skin :D
I think the fact that blemish is STILL misspelled on the box entertains me like no other!
I rather like the concept of BB creams but they don’t ever seem dark enough for me
I know right? I spend a good 5 minute giggling about that! I like the concept too, it just seems hard to find on with the right tone! I’ll definitely report if I find a darker one ^_^
Hi! I have read on the internet that they name their BB Cream “Beblesh Cream” just because some other brand(s) have copyrighted the word “blemish”. That’s even funnier
Ahahaha that is hilarious!!
I may be too dark for some of these – though I’m usually only a boring medium in most foundations etc.
Bit worried about the whitening though – hope they don’t all do that. A bit dubious about those whitening chemicals.

Oh no they definitely don’t all whiten, I’m always dubious of whitening things as well as they’re usually full of horrible chemicals >_<
I’ve never heard about BB creams till now. I’m going to have a look into these.
They can be really good if you can find the right one :D
Ok.. someone is going to have to fill me in on what a BB cream actually is… Looks intriguing.

It’s basically something you can use before or instead of foundation which is supposed to make your skin nicer and smooth out imperfections so you can have super awesome skin and improve it’s condition over time :D Kind of like foundation with vitamins haha!
Oh I’m so excited about these reviews! I’ve been wanting to try BB creams, but I’m pale with pink undertones too. So I’m thrilled you are posting these.
:D I’m very glad to help! I’ve got quite a few to try out!
Wow, that’s some good coverage. I still don’t know how I feel about these creams though, I really dislike the idea of “whitening” although, since they can’t seem to spell “blemish” maybe they mean whitening as in “reduces uneven skintone and freckles and stuff”. I’d still like to try this stuff out though, but oooh that price, although, the container looks like a can of coke, so maybe the price is reasonable for how much you get XD
I spelled my name wrong :( How long have I been doing that!?
ROFL!! Only a little while, I knew it was you though!!
Generally I think that the “whitening” is mostly for freckles and uneven skin tone but I’m always really careful with that kind of thing because some of them have very nasty chemicals in them. Luckily not all of them whiten so I tend to stick to the others! I’d say the bottle is about 3/4 the size of a coke can so not bad but yeah if you’re just testing them I say get samples first!! Unfortunately for prices here in Aus this is cheap, Aus has terrible prices I want to come shopping in the US!! ;_;
Love it! It’s definitely too pricey for me tho, which is a shame because I’d love to pick some up :(

Maybe you could find samples and try it out? I so know what you mean though, cosmetics are so expensive, especially here >_<
The bottle is very cute ^_^ But the price might get me.

Waa $60?? That’s crazy!!
I like the review. I had been interested in getting the same kind and I’m glad it doesn’t look too weird on Caucasian skin. Also if you want a place that’s cheaper, I know pinkyparadise sells it for $22.99. They have other kinds too.
