I then trimmed it to the correct length and made sure the edge wasn’t too blunt so it matched my current fringe.
Unfortunately I had used a little of the pink to test a synthetic hair curling technique that The Fashionate Traveller told me about. So I needed to re-curl it into a fringe-ish shape.

On Leanne’s advice I curled the hair on itself, pinned it and boiled some water.

I put it in a bowl and pored water all over it. I soaked it until the water was cool then left it to dry. Done!

Once it’s all brushed out you should clip it in and style it with your fringe. I used a straightener to gently move any wayward bits into place:

You can hide the top with a headband or brush your fringe over it, I like mixing it with my blonde so it’s a bit stripy! This is me wearing it with the other extensions I bought from Bodyline. I’ll show you how I styled them another day ^_^

There was a lot of left over so I decided to make some small single strands with the left overs. These aren’t overly pretty but good for mixing into other styles.

Grab a bobby pin an thread a strand through.

Loop it around and using a couple of other hairs tie it in place. Secure with a little bit of glue and make sure you do it tightly so there’s danger of it coming apart while you’re wearing it!

Repeat with the rest! Again not particularly pretty at the top but that will be hidden among the rest of the hair!

Lastly what to do with the left over random bits that can’t go anywhere else or are damaged?

Well you could use them as a very stylish moustache…

Or use your hair brush to tease them into a big puffy ball which can then be included in bun hair styles…

So to use it I did two big puffy buns…

Then mashed the pink into one of the buns. Pin and hairspray and you’re good to go!

You could always cover both buns with pink completely. I chose to be asymmetrical and just did half of one ^_^

So there you have it! 3 different things with 1 $6 hair extension ^_^ What do you think? |
How fun! You look adorable with Pink hair ^_^

These ones are from Bodyline :)
Wow I love the fringe idea, I really want to find some extensions and try it myself!
You should! These ones were super cheap from Bodyline so if you put in an order for something else it’s totally worth it to through in on top! I’m going to get different colours next time I order :D
I’m so excited to see this, I was so curious about the bit of pink we could see in the last post. You always find the best things on Bodyline, whereas I’m just too lazy to look. ^_^

Heehee I’m good at hunting out those bargins XD
This is an awesome idea :)
I think you look awesome with the two extensions in your hair; with the pink being the fringe!! :D It doesn’t look shockingly weird too because pink and blonde kind of blend in …sort of :P

I was in Dangerfield yesterday and I saw that they have these fake fringes that are attached to a headband, but they looked kind of disturbing. I like the soft pink fringe. It blends really nicely with your real hair. I would love to try this, but as I don’t have a real fringe, I think it might look a little strange. It might be worth a go though.

Hey girl!! Looking good!! I really love the look of the fringe..and how you’ve made your own clip-ins (ah, takes me back to my fake hair days when I spent every day looking at the EZ boards)
I also love your new hair dyee effect (pic seen at Violet’s cuties) where it’s pink and caramel on the bottom…the fringe would go even better with your hair now!
Thanks lovely! You were my inspiration!
